They do not have any customer service. They just put you on hold, till you give up. I spent over 1 1/2 hours on hold, listening to a recording every 30 seconds, that they care about my business, what a joke.

Placed an order for many items and after the delivery day of april 14th items are still not delivered. Every time I call, I am told that this case is being sent to escalation and they will inform me after they have an update .it has been 4 weeks ,items are delivered to the shipping company but they are not delivered to my address due to a dispute for charges between big lots and the shipping company. Everytime I call , i have to wait for long time and then referred to Escalation and specialist with no resolution.

Do NOT order online with Big Lots! The worst experience ever and the worst customer service experience you could ever imagine!
I placed an order on Thursday night. All items were in stock. Friday morning I receive and order status showing that the main furniture item was cancelled but the remaining two items would be processed. I called customer service immediately to cancel the full order. Receiving two items of the furniture set would be useless. I was transferred to 4 different people. And, I wrote their names. I requested to speak with an English speaking supervisor. I never received one.
Instead was placed on hold for 42 minutes by someone named Emma. I then spoke with a "specialist/supervisor name Mafa who "explained" their process and guaranteed my full order would be cancelled and gave me a case number. He said I would receive an email within 48 hours showing the full order was cancelled. I was on the phone dealing with this for one hour and thirty nine minutes. I took continuous screenshots of the call to have proof of how long I was on the phone (the majority of the time on line).
Instead, I received an email that the two out of three items were shipped!! And here I am again, currently on hold (32 minutes as of now) dealing with this mess. One representative claimed I can just refuse the order. I asked "and what happens if I am not home to do so. The courier will leave it". She then said she put it in their "notes" for them to not deliver it and placed me on hold for a "specialist" for which I have been on hold waiting for this person for now 35 minutes.
I am contacting the corporate headquarters and will write reviews everywhere possible.

DONT!!!! Waste your money on their so called protection plan for the furniture they sell cause it's a FRAUD!!!! They DONT cover crap they have every excuse NOT to pay it's just A money making SCAM!!!!!!

My husband and I went to the Paducah KY Big Lots store to pick up a couch I had purchased online. The guy that loaded the couch accidentally pushed the couch forward too hard and broke out my husband's back glass on his truck. Since, I have filled out paperwork and emailed it along with sending it regular mail. It has been more than a month since this happened and to this day,I can never get anyone to talk to me about being reimbursed for the window. I have called,emailed, done the instant chat, and have left several messages at the claims department that never has anyone to talk to at. It costed us $1000 to replace the window in the truck and they need to take care of this issue!!!

Recently went to Big lots to purchase a couple of rugs. In parentheses, I had purchased my bed, box spring, frame, reclining chair, sofa, pictures for hanging, and various kitchen utensils including a new set of pots and pans etc
Upon going to Big lots to pick out rugs I went to the rug section and saw that there were sales going on which I was surprised by but very much so in a favorable way. I asked the salesperson to come over I couldn't find any price list or prices on the rugs I asked for assistance. This woman went through a jibber jabber and I got further confused. I pointed to a particular 5x7 rug where she quoted me $29; I then looked at another rug which she said was $49. I looked to buy both of them went up with her to the cash register. The price is changed once at the register from $29 to 75 dollars and from $49 it went to $99. She then gave me another 10% off and I was supposed to be happy. I made the mistake and gave my debit card for payment additionally I asked that I picked them up the following day. My debit card was accepted and my rugs were paid for. I woke up the following morning and I had changed my mind thinking and being under is very strong suspicion that I was snookered. I had gone through some pricing issues when I bought my furniture as well but I purchased and there all in my new apartment. Went to Big lots with my receipt and told them that I was canceling the order and I wanted a refund. Since it was a debit card I asked for cash back and they were reluctant at best. They wanted me to wait 3 to 5 days to have it put back on my debit card. I insisted that I wanted cash back and one person said they did not have enough cash in the draw. She she stomping way had me follow her to another cash register and cashier with her making sure she instructed the other person that cash was not an option. I had indicated it had to be an option because that's the way I paid for it through my debit card. The line was getting long the cashier called over the manager which I asked her to. Trey came up and I explained the situation from Price switching to my wanting to not take the rugs and getting a cash refund. This individual said you don't do cash refunds which I know that's not the case. He started to get hostile with me he started to physically intimidate me he started to get louder with me insisting a cash refund. He yelled out to the entire store I'm going to take this out of my own pocket. Which he did not it was out of the register. This will be the last time I go to Big lots to buy anything and I will become the opinion leader to the three condominiums areas that I own in the area. I will not be lied to I will not be manipulated and for God's sakes I will not be intimidated no matter how big and loud this idiot wanted to be. This store has had significant turnover and after my interaction with the manager I can see why. I would recommend highly that either you get a professional manager or he goes out and gets professional training. Again I will not deal with Big lots!! I am disgusted the way you do business. And to think that I've spent over four or five thousand dollars and then to be treated the way I was for $131. It will be brought out I can guarantee you that. Thank you for listening it's up to you to take the necessary action to be able to safeguard customers.

I am disappointed in the people @ the pelham location,I recently purchased two items that were priced wrong I end up paying twice for them I was told my refund would be in my account two to three days I still don't have it.its ten dollars not much but it's mine!!

I bought a recliner Dec 19 2021 from Big lots in Conway Arkansas after getting chair home I noticed that it sit crooked,I contacted the Conway store to get replacement and was told that I couldn't return chair after bringing it to the store because I didn't have box it came in even after I explained that it was removed from box at store to get it in my Jeep so I'm out around 350.00$ for a recliner I can't even use big lots sells rejected furniture that other stores don't want to sell I'm placing a complaint to better Business bureau about Big lots in Conway Arkansas

I did not have the receipt for a curtain rod that I wanted to return. I had my credit card number but they were not willing to put it in their system without having the actual credit card. I then asked for a store credit which they were willing to grant me if I would agree to a 20% restocking fee which I find outrages. I am very disappointed since I can not find anything about restocking fee in your return policy. This happened in your store by the Target super center in Huntsville AL.

Big lots is a rip off don't buy from this store in Conway Arkansas,the recliner I purchased Dec 19 2021 for over $300 took back yesterday to get a replacement recliner but was refused since I didn't have the box it came in but the employee at the store took the recliner out of the box to put in my Jeep in the back because in the box it would not fit so I'm stuck with the recliner that you can't set in because it's lopsided Big lots is nothing but a rip off don't waste your money or time with them

I bought a recliner at Big lots December the 19th of 2021 took the chair back January 18th of 2022 Big lots refuse to give me a replacement chair for it with the cushion setting an inch lower on the right side than it was on the left side the chair is crooked and they wouldn't take it back I will not be buying nothing else from Big lots this is one pitiful store to rip people off this way I give over $300 for this recliner I cannot use thanks Big lots for BS

On Dec 23 I was shopping at your Lansdale pa store. I bought a few of your holiday meat pkg. When the cashier SAW I was owning with a extra card she asked me if they were gifts or for my use. I was shocked of such a question. Yes they only come out this time of year and I like to sit down watch a movie with my daughter and enjoy one. So yes my use. I know eventually I might shop there again but I haven't been able to yet. I was really upset by this would.en. I wish I would of gotten her name. I can only describe her as a dark skin woman who appeared nice until she saw my payment method. I never had this treatment before

Purchased 2 Christmas Story Leg glasses online from Big Lots.com yesterday. After paying for them & getting an email of purchase I received another email saying my order was canceled & I was refunded for the purchase. No explanation or reason given. Wish it had a better outcome or reason given. Then only other glass available is a 1 hour drive one way for me....

It's mandatory to wear masks into the big lots store in Collins, NY specifically yet managers don't mandate it as they should. I recently worked with another employee that has just tested positive for covid and correct me if I'm wrong but anyone that came into contact with said person should be quarantined to lessen the risks of spreading the virus further and for personal health risks. Why is it ok for them to get away with not complying to nys mandates and rules during this covid epidemic we are having????

Big lots customer service sucks! There is no nicer way say it. I bought a couch from there less than a year ago the couch is all shredded and falling apart which I seen numerous people have the same complaints. I am trying to purchase a new couch they have nothing in the store there was a floor model I would've considered the store manager who was beyond arrogant said it was at his discretion if a floor model could be sold or not and he was not selling it. I called customer service Who advised me that the district manager was the only one who could approve the sale of a floor model and they would have him call me that was the Sunday before Thanksgiving still waiting for a phone call. I called back again the Saturday after Thanksgiving spoke to someone who was nice who said she could see that the district manager never reached out to me and put in another request again as of today nothing I intern just called again tonight and was told it's in the notesThat the store manager decided not to sell it and the case was closed no one has the common decency to call you back when the furniture is nothing but garbage to start with but you can't at least call back I have also never seen were a store manager ranks higher than a district manager or a regional manager

I used a reward credit that I had earned for purchasing furniture. I ordered items on-line that said they were available in the store. I also purchased items that had the incorrect pictures attached to them, so I ended up getting products that I didn't even order. I received no help from the Store Managers and was told that Customer Support are the only ones that can do anything. When I called Customer Support, they said the Store Manager was the only one that could do anything. So, there is no way to get my rewards back that I earned to use them for items that are actually in the store. It's amazing that this company still exists with such disregard for their customers. Shame on you, Big Lots.

Buyer beware. Shop furniture at your own risk. Purchased a loveseat and recliner. Jerry in furniture spent a good portion of his time talking to me about his personal life and complaining about how busy his job is. He failed to explain the delivery fee would be paid separate to the delivery company. He also failed to advise the furniture arrives unassembled. Imagine my surprise when the delivery company shows up asking for cash and informs me my furniture needs to be put together. Called the store and spoke to assistant manager Stephanie. She was of no help at all. She was nothing but rude and condescending. When asked for her name she was hesitant to give it. When asked for the corporate number she gave me the regular number for big lots customer service. Never an apology or ounce of empathy. I did speak with corporate. They apologized and agreed they would be escalating the issue to a district manager named Maryann. They tried to offer me coupons which was a pure insult ... do they honestly think trying to get me to spend more money is a way to fix this. I told her no thanks. This supposed Maryann is supposed to contact me ... no word from her at this point. This has been a huge nightmare from the beginning. I have a matching sofa i am expecting to be delivered from another location. Guaranteed I will not do anymore business with Big Lots.

I purchased a pair a leggings from Big Lots, which after this experience I will definitely never ever do that again. I understand now why people just stick to Dillard's and Macy's. Anyways, I got home realized I grabbed the wrong size. Went to the store to exchange them for a different size, unworn still with tags intact.
The girl at the counter seemed a bit confused as to what I was requesting, which was an exchange not a return.
The lady beside her register was watching rather closely I noticed.
Ok so I go back home with my "exchanged" leggings. Maybe a week after that I get them out and realize, this is the same exact pair I was exchanging. So I never got the correct pair handed back to me.
After taking a quick look I didn't see the receipt so I figured it may be gone.
Ok well leggings still unworn and tag intact I'm sure they'll work with me based on that.
I go in explain what happened.
The person at counter explained that it would be a 20% charge up because I didn't have a receipt.
So naturally I was a bit confused, but not confrontational. I look over and see it was the lady the was watching my last "exchange" ever so closely and say, oh hey do remember me exchanging these? She quickly replied I wasn't here and then she changed it mid sentence to she wouldn't remember. Which let's me know she remember. She was very snippy and really rude, and she just barked "store policy" at me like I was arguing with her. Which again I wasn't. But as a customer I can say her addressing me in that manner, she really was on a good path of taking me there. I'm not sure why your employees feel the need to be so rude Big Lots, perhaps they believe they're stopping something in it's tracks before it starts. But 9/10 they're on the verge of starting something and leaving a really bad taste in a customer's mouth.
Even your "customer service line" isn't any better.
So to sum it up, I would have been paying for your employees to get paid to make mistakes because they are not paying attention? I understand policy, what I will not do however, is pay for your employees coachable moments.
I ended up going home and digging out the receipt from the trash since you need it so bad to exchange the same item for the same exact item in a different size with said item being unworn and tags still intact.
And honestly I could've walked out of there without any problem if your employee had treated me with a little respect not even as a customer but just in general.

Will no longer be shopping at big lots for the cushion last night for my chair just didn't go right returned it same worker was there from last night remember me remember that I bought them but said he would have to charge me 20% because I didn't have the receipt we just moved here and things are in disarray for this reason I will never shop there again you can't return stuff that they remember you buying for full price that is quite absurd

I was looking for a new couch after remodeling my home. Went in Big Lots numerous times after comparing prices in other stores. July 2020 I paid over $1000.00 cash for a sectional and large ottoman. I live alone so I'm the only one who sat on it. Several months ago I noticed batting around the cushion and found the zipper was stripped all the way around the cushion.Also the cushions are foam rubber making it hot and uncomfortable to sit on. Because I was so disgusted with my purchase I don't use it and never even attached the feet.Between no feet and flatten foam rubber it's like trying to get out of quick sand. HATE this couch and out of $1200.00 bucks that my dad left for me upon dying January 2020. Big Lots has an "F" rating with the BBB.

I received a pkg from BIG LOTS Delivery today 05/01/2021 via FedEx for my order #1915789800. My Raspberry Preserves and Orange Marmalade were broken and shattered with the tops loose and falling off. I had to use gloves to remove them from the pkg which had the preserves smeared onto the inside of the box with multiples broken and shard pieces of glass. Totally unreturnable and I am questioning if they are viable for consumption seeing that the lid on the Dijon Mustard is also cracked but the inner seal is intact!!?, as if it were tossed on it's top and into the box. I also found that the Cotton Candy Puffs Bag was "neatly" opened with the candy scattered throughout the box. It was so very strange and very obvious that there was malicious tampering with this pkg which was originally delivered(???)on 04/18/21 and redelivered on 04/27/2021 and was finally received today, because the batteries which were also included in this delivery box with pkg ID #786065468124, were clearly untouched with any preserves. Very STRANGE INDEED!!? Esp. seeing that BIG LOTS packaging is usually designed with safety wraps and adhere to higher standards of packaging than how these boxes had EVERYTHING tossed and no containment or shock resistant wraps. I am NOT faulting BIG LOTS packing or the FedEx delivery. The fault obviously happened when the pkg was left on The St. Bernards' Park Apts Property. Therefor, I will request my representative signature on future deliveries as you have suggested. (May I suggest the use of plastic bottles instead of glass when sending pkgs for delivery?) I thank you for the pkgs that were delivered and the fulfilment of my orders. Everything else was A.O.K. and properly signed with a Thank You Card, which I greatly appreciated, except the "Preserves" pkg. I purchase a mattress set from Big Lots. I was told that there is 10yr warranty on the mattress set. After a year the mattress begin to sag on the middle. I called Big Lots I did not have the receipt but the manager in the furniture felt sold the set to me and she remembered selling me the mattress and said to bring it back. Because of COVID-19 they were not receiving any furniture returns. I went to my local Big Lots stores to inquire
about returning my mattress the woman that sold me the mattress was there she no longer worked in the furniture dept because of a promotion but she remembered selling me the mattress. Her boss was there I think the district manager her boss was the mere. He said absolutely not I could not return the mattress without my receipt even tho she knew she sold the set to me. He was very adamant about it. So I am sick with mattress which I am going to have to replace myself. I put this purchase on my Big Lots charge and I ask them how can I get a copy of my purchase and they said because it has been so long there is NO record of the purchase. So I am not satisfied but there is nothing else iI can do even tho there is a 10
Yr warranty on the set. It not worth anything . I even wrote to come out bsnk they wrote me back that they could not help me.

Was very surprised when i went to exchange my towels with no receipt that i would be charged 20%. I was exchanging for different color.
