Absolute terrible history of making previously available material unavailable.

They give you a song and dance about how the studio only lets them have a few titles, but the problem is that they still remain available to select. For instance I have had some titles in my queue for over a year and BB has not the simple courtesy to take them off the available list.

Half of my queue has been rendered unavailable, and this is after optimistically waiting a long time.

Be careful with this company.

I have been a 3 at a time Blockbuster customer for years. The last 2 months I haven't been able to get 3 movies and none at all this week. I have over 20 movies in my queue and every one of them has a long wait on them. They are not keeping up with the demand and have not honored our contract of 3 at a time. I will be cancelling this week before my account renews. I want to be able to complain to people who are high up but I don't know to whom I should address it nor to what address. There customer service sends me emails stating that I should make sure I have 10 available movies in my gueue. How the heck should I know what's going to be available. They have become very bad.

Your company is absolutley horrible. My daugter-in-law signed us up for 3 months starting in January. They charged her twice so gave us an extra 2 months of movies which is a joke. We have only received 3 movies in the month and Blockbuster told her we would not have to wait for certain movies, which is false since in our que it says short wait on some. I called and they told me the movies were shipped from Texas, which showed they were to be mailed the 26th and received the 30th. We have had so much trouble with your company I told my daughter-in-law to cancel and get her money back. She called and the man told her she only paid 14.98 which she has paid them 48.95 so he told her she has to fax the copy to prove it to corporate office which she is doing. Boy, there is no such thing as good customer service anymore. I had net flex last year and must say I at least got movies right away. You really need to do something before you lose all your business. Last Friday I rent a movie but I just get an Empty and broken case.
Immediately I contact Customer Service and they told me I must pay 30 days rent( $1.00 each ) plus $10.00, total: $ 40.00

According to them the reason is because if I find the movie my charge stop right there.
I asked for a superviser and I was told someone will call me in the next 24 hours but never happend

How can I fin something I never get?
Why do not charge me just for the movie?
Why Blockbuster do not take any responsibility about it?

Definitely this is completely unfair and they just lost a frequent customer

As of today, I am a former Blockbuster online customer. I have been loyal subscriber since the beginning. I just cannot tolerate the inept attitudes that are masquerading under the guise of customer service. A few of my observations: 1) A call to 866-692-2789 has such a long firewall that one is discouraged from waiting for an actual person. 2)All of the brick & mortar stores in my area have closed, but they continue to advertise as if the return to store option is still available. 3) If you return a movie by mail in 24 hours, it doesn't clear queue for another 4-6 days. (It used to take 2 days.) Then it takes another 3-5 days for another to arrive. (I live 1 shipping day from the distribution center.) 4) New releases show as ON ORDER or unavailable. 5) Video games aren't available for 4 months after release.

There are too many RedBox kiosks in my neighborhood to justify a subscription. The value of this service has disappeared. Still, Blockbuster continues to operate as if they have no competition.

CUSTOMER NOSERVICE is a joke. I can barely understand them. the by mail is so screwed up it is a wonder that they are still in business. they receive a movie and send the same movie back to you. you call a "team member" and they apologize for whatever but do nothing to fix the problem. AVOID THE BY MAIL OPTION AND GO TO Redbox

I trialled this online rental service in November and have had difficulty getting their customer services to downgrade my account as requested, their service department is only open 9-5.30 Mon-Fri, you can't reply to any annoying emails they send you, their online customer services never reply when you do send them a tailored message and even after cancelling my account and having no outstanding dvds out on loan, I am still recieving emails complaining of non-payment and requests to send back outstanding dvds!!!!

I mailed two movies on 12-22-11. The next two movies to replace these are due to arrive 12-30-11. Eights days - wow, what great service! On top of this, I recieve about one broken disk a month. If this continues I will cancel my subscription. Redbox is looking like a much better deal now. Either run your business like you care about your customers or get out of it. And don't tell me I can exchange movies locally at your stores, YOU CLOSED ALL THE STORES NEAR ME!

Hello I need to pay an outstanding bill to blockbuster. I received a bill saying i need to pay the fee to an collecting agency due to the fact that blockbuster has bankrupt, i have a 10 days deadline or i will be reported to the credit bureau. however i lost the ppr that was mailed to me and now i don't know where to pay the fee!!! Pls help I dont not want to have bad credit

I absolutley will never rent from Blockbuster ever again. Not only does their customer service reps barely speak english, but 3/4 of the stores the list online no longer exist(and more and more are closing on a daily basis) When I finally talked to someone in the corporate office(or as close to it as they allow) she pretty much told me they made a note of what I said but they had no consequences for their actions. Their customer service all around the board is the worst I have ever seen. No wonder blockbuster is pretty much going outta business. I really hope they go out of business soon!

Since Dish Network aquired Blockbuster, They order less dvd's from their merchants which will cause them to have more money. The short supply that they order has to be recycled among the customers and when the customers return the dvd's they send them out to the remainder of us.It was never this way with Netflix. Worst of all, Blockbuster's don't care because they feel aa though we can take it ot leave it since they get most of their movies 30 days before Netflix. An awful agree that they have with their merchants and the movie industry.

Held a giftcard with over $20 value which they told me would never expire. Called to check the balance today and was told it was NO LONGER VALID cause they went bankrupt !!! Don't you know they flat out refuse to replace it with a valid giftcard of equal value. Would only offer 5 FREE rentals at their store but wait, there are none in my area because they've all closed !!! Or I can opt for two months free of their online delivery service which I've tried before, hate and would never use again...how can they just take my money and run ?!...I'm going all the way to the CEO with one cause they MUST not get away with this !!!

This applies to Blockbuster by mail. Since the takeover by Dish Network the service has been terrible. I have the 3 movies out a time by mail plan. I used to get 3 movies a week, and all new releases, mailed on time. Now, I get one movie and nothing else sent. The movies in my queue would say available but nothing would be sent. Then all the movies would be on a very long wait, which means never to be gotten. I complain to Blockbuster and they do nothing. I have been a customer for many years. I stuck with them during their terrible time this summer during the switch of ownership when they shipped nothing. Well, guess what, this customer is not sticking with Blockbuster anymore!!!! I refuse to pay for a service I am not receiving full value for.

I called to report a monthly charge to my blockbuster account that I did not authorize that was started at the store. The blockbuster online representative said was unable to help me on the phone for a monthly charge incurred which originated at the store level. Very NOT Helpful.
No wonder Blockbuster is having trouble.

This is the Customer Complaint letter I recently sent to Blockbuster.

Dear Blockbuster Customer Complaints Department

Out of the last 6 discs you have sent me, three I did not order and two others were faulty. I am now getting tired and disappointed with the service I am receiving from you - your pickers are obviously not paying attention to what is on people's My List or withdrawing faulty discs from circulation.

Could you please get my next six discs right, otherwise I will cancel my subscription.

just relocated from sc to ga and went to blockbuster kiosk to rent a 99c movie. after swiping card several times, kiosk inf said zip code did not match so no movies were dispersed. However, upon entering my old zip code where my bank account originates with my old address, I was able to rent ONE movie. Without realizing AND WITHOUT RECEIVING ANY OTHER DVD RENTALS FROM THE KIOSK, my bank account was charged 5 TIMES!!! This is outrageous and because of that debit I was unable to even get gas at a local fuel pump as my account had been depleted! Yes, I want my $8 lousy bucks back that YOU STOLE from me as I only rented ONE MOVIE! (and yes returned on time) If cust service does not comply I will picket the kiosk to not use it as IT IS A RIP-OFF!!!

What an amazingly horrible service! I just signed up for a free trial of Blockbuster Online. I'd heard they now shipped games along with movies, and had started streaming movies like Netflix. Lo and behold, their games don't become available until a full four months after release, and there are no streamed movies included for free with their online service-the only free ones are DVD extras! Talk about bait-and-switch! Everything else costs $3-4 dollars. Are these movies even available to non-subscription customers? I'd hate to think you already had to be a paying customer to gain the privilege of streaming a $4 movie from their site. As Netflix recently learned, you can't treat half of your potential customer base like second-class citizens. Like a lot of the US today, I've grown out of physical format media. I'll never buy into Blu-ray. If Blockbuster had advertised their streaming as a separate service, I might have considered occasionally renting from them. Now, though, after my free trial is up, I'll be laughing happily back to Amazon for my new release rentals.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE BLOCKBUSTER ON AZUSA AVE IN COVINA CA ACROSS THE STREET FROM DENNYS AND FOOD4LESS. NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF LITTLE SNOTTY TEENAGERS WORK THERE AND THEY ARE NO GOOD FOR ASKING QUESTIONS. LIKE YOU ASK THEM SOMETHING AND THEY CANT ANSWER YOU RIGHT. AND THE OTHER DAY ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WAS DEFINITLY ON DRUGS. HE COULDN'T EVEN ANSWER A SIMPLE QUESTION ABOUT THERE PLAY PASS. HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHAT A PLAY PASS WAS. WHAT A IDIOT.

Aweful Customer Support from BlockBuster. Called to locate the software to download the player for my Mac for On Demand. Lady was rude because I gave her the wrong email address, but I did give her my right account number because I was logged in via the web. She corrects me that the email address I provided was wrong and then she wants me to verify my name for security reasons. I already gave you my info. I only want know where to download the player software? She then transfers me to another unfriendly Saturday person. He tells me I don't need to download the player as it states on the page. I only need to select the movie and it will stream to my Mac. Then he tells me that he noticed that I have zero movies and my que and to avoid shipping delays, I should have a least 10 movies in my que. I canceled Netflix last week. BlockBuster you're next. Such a crappy service and I haven't even used it the first time.

I went in to try and get some information on Monthly in store exchange prices. This was 11/8/2011 around 5:00. In Ogden Utah 84403 Location on Harrison.This older looking lady. Who seemed to be caucasion. Was extremely rude. Spoke to me as though i didn't know english. When actually its my only lauguage i speak. She shouldn't be working in customer service much less a buisness that is crashing. I will never go to blockbuster as long as she is employeed there. I have a very large number of family members. I grew up in ogden and know pretty much the whole town. I will let my fellow citizens of ogden know my experience at Blockbusters. I will insist not giving them there buisness to place that hires incompetent employees. I love netflix. Cheers to another years membership of netflix. Worth over $108 of my buisness.

I rented from the block buster box was late & was charged a late fee $26 went to turn them in & the box wouldnt take them told me they were mine due to lateness ok fine .. Well two weeks later im being charged $53 & ten minutes after that another $26

Brittney from the Princeton WV Blockbuster center is extremely rude and very unproffesional - She has been this way ever since I have started going to Blockbuster to rent my movies, which has been several years now. She is always eating in front of the customers, which I feel is very gross. I have chosen to start renting my movies from Netflix, due to her unprofessionalism. Also, the manager is rude too, now I see where she gets it

ok i rented a brand new game(X-Men Destiny) and the store gave me a crap copy. i look on the receipt and to buy the game its almost 70 dollars i go home and play it and it froze and glitched. will they give me a refund or did i just waste 2 dollars a day

No wonder this company is having financial trouble. We signed up for a month of Blockbuster's movie pass program. We had to give them a credit card to sign up but we were assured that it would not be charged. We found that we did not rent enough movies and decided not to renew for the next month. Surprise! There was a charge on our credit card for 16.22 from Blockbuster, Inc. I called the "customer service" line and was informed that they cannot do anything about it. We have to contact our local store. What is the point of a customer service line that can't do anything? I am fed up with them and I am fed up with our local store who told us our credit card would not be charged. Another headache to straighten out. Thanks, Blockbuster, for restoring my faith in Netflix.
