I purchased 6 tickets totaling $61.14 to see the movie Space Jam at 1:40 pm July23,2021 @1:38pm. When I received the confirmation, I noticed the date was incorrect. (Please be cognizant if the movie time and confirmation receipt time) I immediately called the movie theater to explain I wanted tickets for July 24th @ 1:40 and had selected the incorrect date.I was told since I purchased the tickets from Fandango, I needed to call them. I then called customer service at approximately 1:48pm explained what happened and was told I could not get a refund because the movie had started. I explained we had not used the tickets and had only selected the incorrect date. I was very upset and the customer service representative said she would send the information to corporate and I should expect to hear from them within 5 days.
At 2:23 pm I received an email saying I would not get a refund. I called customer service back to explain what occurred again and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor listed to what occurred and she also said this incident would have to go to corporate and I should get a response in 24-48hrs. At 3:19, I received another email again saying I would not get my refund.
This is pure robbery, FANDANGO KEEPS YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU ERRONEOUSLY PUT IN AN INCORRECT DATE, YOU DONT USE THE TICKETS (there are tracking mechanisms where Fandango can clearly see the tickets were not redeemed. We live in a tech Davy world) and $61 is alot of money to just give away. THIS IS HORRIBLE! I WILL NEVER USE FANDANGO AGAIN. This company should really be ashamed of themselves.
