Worst service ever.took my truck in for rough idle.was told i needed i new intake manifold and gasket.my truck has a new motor with 29000 miles on the motor..was given a price of 1079.00 dollars to replace and fix the rough idle.was told by pepboys after the repairs were made that the problem was in my ignition.so was totally un happy with my service.brought truck back home with the dame problem that i too ok it to them for.popped ky hood to find the cheapest intake manifold that could be bought on my truck 9ne of my hood support s bent and a rattle under my hood that i did not have before.i wouldn't recommend pepboys to anyone ever biggest rip off ive ever in countered.will be fileing a complaint with the bbb here in Louisville

I bought tires at the Pep Boys in Ft Walton Bch, FL .I was given a total price of $738.00 before tax. When the work was done I was charged $889,00. I was told that while the installation was free balance was $92.00. To me this is a rip off. I should have only pay what was discussed. I look forward to a reply.

Frisco,TX location, specifically Wade. Horrible service. Their online tire inventory, and pricing is apparently on there to get you in the store so they can sell you a more expensive tire. Found a reasonably priced tire for my son to buy for his car online that said available. Sent him to the location to purchase the tire, and he calls me back telling me that it wasn't available but the have another at close to twice the price. I call and ask about the tire while he is there. Wade tells me that the tire I see online went on another car, but he can order the one online. I tell him to let me check a few other things and I will call back. I tell my son to order the tire. Wade tells my son the tire isn't available and goes back to selling a more expensive tire. I call back and tell him that my son is there and he wants to order the tire we spoke about previously. He tells me it isn't available and starts telling me about the alternative tire's specs and quality. The conversation devolved from there and I ended the conversation once Wade tells me, "You listen sir.."

I contact the McKinney location and inquire about the website, and told that they have had problems getting tires on the website in the specified time frame offered, and get a similar song and dance from Louie, the at home service rep with a TV and dog barking in the background.

Long story short, don't trust their website, and don't trust them, even when they tell you they can order it for you. Also, don't go if you are looking to experience any significant amount service or backing of their advertising.

My husband dropped my car off at PepBoys to get 1 tire replaced after getting a flat. They recommended I replace 2 tires to make sure the tread was even and I asked them to place the undamaged tire inside my car so I'd have a spare for the
future. My car required special-order tires so it remained in their possession for a couple of days. I picked it up after 5pm on Friday, 3/3 and was leaving town that weekend. In my car was a suitcase along with several unopened work-related packages mailed to my office that I was taking home. I picked up my car and came home, but when I went to get the suitcase to pack, along with the packages to make room in the car for my trip, I noticed the tire was there but not the suitcase nor packages. It was after hours so I called the next day (Sat 3/4) and spoke to the manager, Myron, who told me he'd review security cameras and get back to
me. I didn't hear back all weekend so I followed up Mon 3/6 and was told by Lupe (an associate) that Myron had the day off, but he saw a note to review the footage. I followed up again Weds 3/8 where the story changed. I spoke with Myron and he told me the cameras were all of a sudden not operational and no one would ever steal. I never implied theft since I know that when they put the tire in the car, they needed to move the luggage and boxes to make space and when I told Myron the value of the items in the car, he said he'd escalate it to management and get back to me. When he did follow up, the story and tone completely changed. He said no
one had seen anything in the car and the car arrived via tow truck unaccompanied which is just false since someone needed to be present to pay for the tires. The tow truck driver never had access to the interior of the car since my husband was supervising the process. He confirmed seeing the luggage and boxes in my car after drop off at Pep Boys. I am 100% certain these items were removed when they put the tires in and never returned to me. The shifting stories and inaccuracies are extremely suspicious. What saddens me about this is that I do my best to support local businesses and businesses in the community and have always taken all of my cars to this Pep Boys for many years, so sharing this story to warn others.

Pep boys is the worst company that you could ever take your car to. If you look at the ratings they never lied I had a very bad experience I took my car in for a front and in line meant on Branch Ave., Pep Boys Oxon Hill, Maryland, and they damaged my car and did not want to take responsibility for it so now we are in court. Do you not take your car to Pep Boys? They have a lot of bad reviews. Please believe me these reviews are the truth. I have also had a bad experience.

Pep boys Chicago Illinois 60647 2604 elston 2/13/24, any one working that shift should be wrote up something, Terrible customer service, poor communication, terrible, sad , don't give a dam to sum it up! Brought car in for repairs, im ride share, I need car for work, made appointment for 9 , I was there on time. So through hertz I understand approval time ok, Sure car was approved later, but that because they put me to the back an I constantly call just to know to head that way or just know something, no one answered , honestly I feel on purpose , Finally got through after being on hold for 20 min , who ever the was the night of that date ... did not care!!! At all an told me out the blue it would be ready in morning, I was very upset, held back for work but I was cool fine, I arrived the following morning to find out I had being totally lie to, an no one give a shhh , care , it's sad please inform your workers let people know what going on , them not caring about customer hurts us cause now I lost work for 2 day an Im sick about, it please help me, anger an acting out isn't the key, but something should be done an said

Hard to believe they're still in business. Went to the Annandale location for a dash light that came on. It actually indicated what was wrong and where. The mechanic asked me which sensor is the problem, I told him, but they still charged me a $20 diagnostics fee. I was also charged a $20 fee for a 90 warranty on the balancing of the wheel they took off. I asked them to cancel the warranty but was told you'll come later with an unbalanced tire and we need to fix it so we can't cancel it. Left the car there for 5 hours. When I went to pick up the car, I told the manager you're over charging me for the part, Advance auto part has the same part for $55 and you're charging me $150, thats a huge difference. He told me I should have done my research before dropping the car off not when picking it up. Not only they over charged me, but also when I turned the car on the light was still on. I was told by the mechanic and a front desk employee that it'll turn off after driving. Went back the next day, I was told by the manager that the wrong part was ordered. Went back in two days. The manager wasn't there. I was told they cant do anything as they are busy. After a lot of negotiations they said I should wait 2 hours so other customers get their turn. I got over charged, they took my money, didn't fix the car and when I gave them the opportunity twice to fix their mistake they gave me an attitude and brushed me off. For your own good stay away from this place. They are untrained employees. Both at the front desk and in the shop. Specially now that they don't work with pep boys store, they order the parts from other parties and it costs a lot more An uptade; I've made every attempt to have my car fixed. I have stopped by multiple times and every time they till me they ordered the part but next time I visit ghey dont have the part. I'm sick and tired of these guys lying to me. I've wasted so much time waiting for someone to give me an answer. The shop managers only concern was for me to remove my review but has done nothing to fix the problem. After leaving a review I received so many emails from Pep Boys main office. All they do is apologize but they do nothing to gain the customers trust and satisfaction. You stole $235 from me, you guys are crooks

I am asking for a refund for work done on my vehicle on 01/30/23. I was charged $350.00 for labor that took 55 minutes
To complete. The mgr says they can only charge what is their job requirement. Again it took 55 minutes for the worker

And pep boys added a $75.00 charge for towing on my bill when I had not established a working relationship with Pep Boys.
I asked the mgr what is the relationship between Pep Boys and Red Line Towing that they can put charges on my bill and
Pep Boys do it before the customer is serviced.This is my 1st experience with Pep Boys and Red Line towing. I want a
Reduction in my labor charge from Pep Boys.

I have been in pep boys for 2 hours with my 8 year old son
For a valve replacement after buying 4 new tires yesterday.
They pulled my car in a bay took off the tire 1 1/2 hours ago.
My son fell asleep, with no working toilet and no coffee maker.

I was shopping for tires for my summer and I saw a set that I want, but there is no price shown. I don't like shopping like that. Why are the price hidden. Just remember we're the ones who keeps this store in business. So I will go to k-mart and buy my tires because I can see the prices on line before I order them.

Went in for a tune-up and told them wipers had also stopped working. Sat in the waiting room for 6 hours to be told it was going to cost over $1000 to fix. Said I'd go without the wipers so don't fix them. Asked me if I wanted new plugs, said no. Just pup it back together and I'll drive in good weather. Well I payed $187 to have nothing done to my truck, no tune-up of any kind. "But we ran diagnostics and had to put the stuff back together." WTF is that?!?!?!? Never go to them again.

On 12/26/22, I had an on-line appointment (below) to have my daughters vehicle checked out. I arrived a 7:45. A short time latter (7:50) a employee walked out of the business(5-9/10, heavy set, with a beard) and told me that is If I was there for an on-line appointment that they were booked solid through Thursday and would not be able to look at my vehicle. I told him I did have an on-line appointment and showed him my confirmation. He proceeded to state, I REALLY DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE, WE DO NOT TAKE ON LINE APPOINTMENTS HERE and everybody knows that. I told the employee that was not true and that I have made numerous, line appointments, with Pep Boys, and have done so for over 20 years. The employee did not like my answer and changed his tone to an angry voice and stated, " were booked solid and that is how it is, we are not going to take your car in and that's it". He then turned and started walking away at which time I asked him who the Manger was and he stated, "I am". I then asked him his name and he refused to give it to me. He walked back into the store and I got out and as I walked to the front door he came over and locked the door. I asked him once again what his name was and he refused a second time to provide his name and he Stated, "I am not giving it to you", the information. This individual was extremely rude and very defensive in his dealings with me. I can not see how Pep Boys can keep such a manager, if he really was the manager, in it's company that seems to have NO CLUE WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE is about. I have never in the 20+ years of using Pep Boys In Oxnard for my 2 companies AKAL, and Homeland Security, along with my personal accounts in Simi Valley been treat like this. If this was actually the Manager, PEP BOYS should re-evaluate the status of his employment.

I made an appointment to get my tires rotated 3 days in advance online and check thermostat. I dropped car off at 10 am .by 3 pm uncalled to get update and they said my car was inline ..by 530pm I called again and they said they couldn't get to my vehicle but probably could the next day . I went and picked up my car . Nobody called me ..tbry couldn't even tell me from beginning they wouldn't get to it .

My Toyota Camry has a slow leaking air tire, and the tire pressure light was on, added air but the light will not go off. Took it to Pop's Boy store #1702, Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Here we go:
1. The technician could not find a leak, ignored the tire pressure light, and said it was the cold weather, so there was no need to fix anything.
Fact: One tire was leaking air. two tire air pressure sensors were bad. Changed to a new tire and two new sensors the next day.
2. Meantime, they did an oil change.
Fact: Next day, I found a pot of oil on my garage floor under the car engine compartment. I took it to the nearby Goodyear auto service. They found the bolt of the oil drain tank was not tight, it was leaking oil.
How many stars will you give to this auto store?

Went to Pep Boys Bayshore , NY. Needed 2 tires , the associate tried selling me 4 tires , outright lying to me telling me my car is all wheel drive ( it isn't). I asked him if they can install a new air pressure sensor that I bought at Mercedes Benz in my tire. He said yes & charged me $10 to do that alone . Seen the air pressure dropping in the same tiee and brought it to my mechanic & he changed it and said it was not new it was in the tire a lot longer than 1 week . Pep Boys did not change it , but they did change the cap on it to make it look like they changed it (I had a black rubber cap on it the sensor valve cap is silver . Pep Boys you lost a customer.

On 12/9/22 I had an Appointment for 12:00pm at Pep boys 7422 A Bustleton Ave, Phila Pa to install 4 tires, I was told it would take an hour and a half, I went home waiting for a phone call, three hours has past, so I call them and was told the Technician was working on the last tire and they would call me when it was ready, I waited another hour and then went back to the Pep Boys only to find my car in the air with no tires on it and nobody working on it, I asked to speak to a Manager and told him I had a 12;00 appointment and it's been 4 hours, how long does it take to change 4 tires, he told me it would be another half hour seems like making an appointment makes no diffrence, it took me 5hrs to get the car back with no valve caps on any of the tires.

I came to get my state inspection and was told that I need to change all 4 tires and windshield wiper in order to get approval. The issue is that I just changed windshield wiper and the tires recently. I still have old package in my trunk. I even had receipts for both with dates. I have life time warranty on my tires which had only 30K miles on it. This is highway robbery. To say that I need to change wiper when it was only 3 weeks old, was something I can't accept. This is not right.

I recently purchased tires at pepboys located at 7032 S cicero, Chicago or Burbanks Il. The company did not install the correct tires. On Octoberb7th 2022 I paid ti have a complete set of Maxlife tires installed. I paid and drove home and my car was pulling to the left. I took my car back Saturday th 13th of Octobet for the alignment to be checked
Again I drove home and my car was still pulling to the left. I took my car back Wed 16th of October. They checked the alignment and gave me a print out, stating it was out of alignment but now it is aligned. I drove home and the car was still pulling. I then noticed the tire on the left was not the correct and not the same as the other three. Pepboys installed the correct tire I paidfor.I took it back on the 16th. Drove back home, my car still pulled and then I noticed the other three tires were not the correct tires. I took my car back on the 17th, yesterday a different manager was there and all the correct tires I paid for were install. The car still pulls to the left. If it continues I will take it back. I would like to be compensated for 8 hours I had to sit because the correct tires were not installed. I returned to pepboys 5 times. My car is a Nissan Juke 2017. My name is Gwen Colbert.

I went in pepboys in Jersey City in journal square for a oil change and also ask to check to see why my engine light came on. First she told me because it's after 4pm i would have to leave the car to be looked at in the morning with the technician and that was fine so I left the car about 1hr later they send me a text saying my car was ready for pick.I was now confused like what so I'm like did they get someone to look at it ? So I thought I'll wait to see if they call me cause I'm not goin back if it's the wrong text sooo 1 of the ladies that was at the counter did call me and said your car is ready for pick up again confused I said How she said I have to leave it over night ??? (I should have seen the red flag when I got there and they was on their phones more concern bout there nails and gossiping) that right there told me they wasn't paying attention me so she tells the other girl she's said she leavin the car and they goin back and forth comes back oh I'm sorry yes we'll call you tomorrow after they check your car.Calls the next day and tell me about 7 things wrong with car and its $2300 but while speaking very fast continue to tell me they not charging bout 3 or 4 things and I said well then how much is now and without a pause to even calculate she said $2000 I'm like no thank you I'll pick up my car and speaking quickly again tells me I have to pay for the diagnosis which we confirmed the day before. ANYWAY at the end took it to another mechanic and put it on the machine and clear the sensor code and the ENGINE LIGHT went OFF and he didn't even charge me for that

Store #6591 in Groton. I brought in for oil change. I told them let me know if they see anything else. Told the guy engine light was on and I told him what is was. They ran the diagnostic and told me the same thing I told them. But of course they charged me $100 plus tax to do something they shouldn't have done. I tried to resolve issue but they wouldn't credit me. Will NEVER!!!! Go there again

$1015 for brakes pad and rotor replacement?
$500 for oil pan and gasket replacement. --this is what was charged at pepboys Fairless Hills charged

well ignorance is bliss --found that these are robbery prices--
Later found the dealer would be happy to do brakes for 900 and another service station quoted 800
As for pan, it is text book price gouzing

How is it when I asked just to plug my tire, the man at desk in Blasdell Ny said they couldn't plug it because it was off to the side to much.. wanted to sell me tires!!! So I didn't have them do it, so I took it to the Pepboys down the road from them and they did it no problem !!! Why do you have employees who just want to make a sale do this to customers who you go to to have your work done on your car??? The way inflation is these days pple are having a hard time and this guy at the Blasdell store try to rip me off ???? Sad !
