I went to pep boys in 2721 Stirling Rd Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 United States to do a oil change with that Sevice they Offered a tires rotation when the service was done they call me to pickup my truck, when I got there the oil change was done but they didn't rotated the tires because there was a nail on the side of the tire , I check and the nail wasn't on the side so I ask to rotate the tires but the didn't wanted, the manager started to talk louder so I decided to live and I spent $40 in other place to rotate tires is not fair just because they didn't want to do it without a reason. I hope somebody call me from pep boy to give me an explanation and to pay me back for that rotation that I have to pay out of my pocket.

Never go to this franchise ever again. I came in for a new tire, came back 2 1/2 hours later and still hadn't been seen. They said it would be done on a couple hours.......complete trash

This company is trash know wonder you don't see as many stores they need to close all stores, I have been call Pep Boys for days gave me the runaround every time I will be trying contact the CEO and the new company they are trying to call them self's advance

The service at Pepboys is so unprofessional. I waited 45 minutes to get help I was told by one employee that the manager was in the back. So I waited and no one came to help. Another customer who was waiting got up and stated the service is redicuous. She open the door to get help. This employee came out and said the manager went to get parts. So I continue to wait and 20 minutes. Finally he showed up and stated that he was the only one working the front. I had already previously made my appointment. I was just dropping off my eyes for a next day appointment at 8 am.


My appointment was on Monday, July 3 at 8 am. I never received an report on my car until 3 pm. Then I had to tell him what I previous told him that my coverage is with silver rock. He said he would call and then call back with s not approved. Therefore while waiting I got a test from Silverrock that my service was approved. A lot of confusion with back and forth information.

I was at the location at 8 am on Tuesday July 4 an the person could not tell me anything Stating that I had to wait for the mechanic. However he is the manager. So I ask how long before the technician be in. In stated in 30 minutes. Well it is now 9:08 am and no technician. The manager never came to check or anything.

This is by far the worse service ever. I only came here because this is one of the locations that my coverage sent me to in next work. Never again.

This place is going down, entitled and rude people at the front desk, they overlap appointments (online/phone/etc) they only have one technician to make the oli changes and everything else, let people get at whatever time they please but, if you're on time you have to pay for their irresponsibility... they treat you as if they were making you a favor. The little entailed guy wanted me to leave my car there and pick it up in the morning (they don't tell you this in advance, he even said that they don't have the option of waiting there for your car), even though it was 5 o'clock and they close at 7, because they had 4 oil changes in front of me, I had an appointment! They lack of proper customer service, lack of respect, lack of professionalism... NEVER going back to this place.

My experience with this place I will never ever go back there because they are so unprofessional and rude if you ask me prejudice and by me being a women they want to find everything wrong with the car and try to charge me for nothing . And when I got there to pick up my car the rudeness of the workers at the front desk unspeakable. Then to top that off they did an inspection on the car and tired and left all the white marking on the tires and didn't offer to it the rim back on But if I was very loud to them it would have been another problem, so I just left shaking my head and not even a thank you so excuse my !!!!! Good morning I took appointments online May 05-27-23 at 12 PM at this location but one of the worker over there seem to be she's lazy she told me I don't have a appointment also the system is not working then I left and it's bad customer service. I hate that place.

Wanted a radiator installed i bought.. Was told it had different hardware connections. It didn't. Pep Boys said they had one for a added cost of 400.00 So i went from a 388.00 plus 400.00 i thought!!! Got there to pick up my car and the cost was 853.78. I took my old parts.So i could compare. They put the old parts in my back seat, that leaked all over the carpet and floor matts. Also after 5 miles of driving the radiator transmission lines was leaking. The next day they only wanted to retighten the high powered trans lines. There lack could have blown my transmission and motor.. never again Pep Boy !!!

Hey my name is Arthur, I have took my truck to the pep boy's locations twice 5115 Park Ave Memphis TN, 38117. Yesterday I have took my company vehicle to 5115 Park Ave Memphis TN, 38117. Mr. Frenchone (manager) assist me. I went to get a diagnose done on the truck and a wheel alignment. They kept my vehicle for 8 hours and nothing was done. Mr. Frenchone inform me to bring the vehicle back the next day and schedule a time for 10am May 19, 2023. I bought the vehicle back at that time and they kept it for another 8 hours and never perform the diagnose. Mr. Frenchone stated that the vehicle was too old and it was nothing he could do. That's was the second day I have took off from work for the problem not to be fixed. I am really disappointed and will not be continuing businesses with any pep boys. I have many friends that get their vehicle fix at pep boys and I will let them know how unprofessional this is. I have lost money to get nothing accomplished.

After 30 years of being a loyal customer of your establishment since Big Ten days , I'm done with doing business with your establishment. Went into Huntsville Al store by Shoney Dr. for oil and tire ration on 5-14 2023 . Upon arrivals , was told the oil tech . didn't show up. This has happened on more than on occasion. This is not acceptable since I was going out of town . My business will be going somewhere else who would appreciate my loyal business. Also word of mouth is the best advertisement an o will be sure too avoid this business!!!!!

Bought a new set of tires they never aligned them couldn't get an appointment to have it fixed had to drive my car misaligned for two weeks . Finally went to the one in Orange Connecticutt, he rudest customer service and they made made me wait another hour agter waiting four hours to get the tires done tin Ramsey nj he first time avoid this company is not good

Have used pep boys for years but this is my last visit. Made an appt. Online for 8am indicating I would wait. Arrived at 8am informed I had to leave my car which is impossible. Informed I needed to call direct to make appt. Made an appt. For 05_3_23 at 8am. I am here waiting until 9 because there isn't any help arriving until then!!! What is going on? You are losing me as a longtime customer!! Shame on you. I feel so sorry for the gentleman that is sitting here dealing me!! You will receive no recommendations from me....just negative complaints!! Your company has gone to hell!!!

Leaving my car with Pep Boys was the worst experience of my life. I am truly traumatized. Extending over a 14 day period I had to take my car back to them several times with various issues ranging from oil leaking, car smoking, car just not stable to cracked radiator and having to spend over $1100 to fix the issues they caused me. I only went to get a sealant replaced and basically ended up getting several parts of my motor done. Plus some tools were found in my motor along with a heavy duty flashlight. They did not know what they were doing at all and they should totally be shut down.

I bring my car for a/c service and they charge me $59.00 more o less ,after 2 hours they same to me a message but the message no say nothing about my repair after 15 minute they call me a tell me that the repair cost is $3000.00 dollars I accepted but they no spect that and call me again with a another estimate for $4200.00 dollars because the say that the have electrical problem I believe that they increase the repair cost to keep my estimate cost because my car no have no electrical problem and I repair in other place for $1,200.00 this people is not a trust place to repair car .a take the car to the one in 23 Ave an 8 street in SW I not recommended this place I never more go to pepboys to repair my car.

I have been to Pep Boys before for car service. This, by far, has been the worse service ever provided. I hit something in the road and my tire went flat. I was able to drive to a Pep Boys. It was a 2 hour wait, and I didn't have that time because I was catching a plane. I was told I could leave it there and it would be ready to be picked up when I return. I left my car on a Thursday. I returned that Sunday and nothing was done. Not only that, they said I had 3 cars ahead of me. How is that possible if it was there since Thursday. I was then told I would have to come back on Monday because they didn't think they would get to it. I couldn't get any answers from anyone. No one appeared or acted as if they knew what was going on. I will never bring my car back to that location. Employees did not seem to care about the customers.

I bought 2 new tires and got my car and alignment. I was charged $327. I immediately left and went to pennsylva When I realized they did not put my wheel covers on. I didn't stop nobody stolen them Pep Boys didn't put them on.I called pep Boys when I got back in town.I was told to come the next day, when I got there ther was no one there who could help me I asked for the manager,,II was told to call back the next day. I asked for a number to call. I was given a number that just rang, after awhile it just disconnected. I called number on my Receipt, I got a voice mail to a manager. I left a message and my number, no one call, I called back no one called. Pep Boys should compensate. Please respond my number is 347 286 5168. We took our car in for an oil change at the George Dieter location in El Paso, TX. Less than 24 hours later, the oil shield was dragging on the road. When we called the location, the manager gave us the run around. I spoke to Shawn Davis, the Area Director, and he was even worse. They are accusing us of "hitting" something and causing the shield to come loose. The only thing we hit was the road, as it was dragging because they failed to tighten the screws. BEWARE, DO NOT USE PEPBOYS!!!

These people are the worst techs I ever encountered . I make appointments and im alway early and have to wait 7 hours in this building with no one telling me what's going on . If you need your vehicle worked on ; don't bring it here . My care is under uber and since hertz pays for it they put at the end. This place is a negative 20 out of 10.

I settled an appointment thru UBER account, I usually service my car at pep boys, but this time I had to go the store at south Lamar boulevard, austin texas. The front desk clerk, called Wayne, did not accepted my appointment, neither the price that was given to me at the app! Fleer price! Please teach that guy how to treat customers!

Fort Myers, FL location....Store manager James is a liar. Went to get my battery checked which mind you I purchased on 11/27/2019 with a four year warranty. I already had the battery checked at three other places all with a reading of bad battery.
Went to PEPBOYS Fort Myers where I purchased said battery to get checked, was told would take 2 hours because they test it then charge it then test it again. Appt was for 9 am, the battery print out readings James gave us at a time of 7:58 AM and 8:08 AM. How is that possible if I was there at 9 and exactly how did that allow you to charge it for 2 hours when those readings are 10 minutes apart. James comes out and said oh it's a bad battery you will need to replace it. When I inquire about the warranty which it is still under then he says the battery is good for another six months which is exactly when the warranty ends. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go makes your purchases from a more reputable place where you are not lied to.

Attempted to call customer service who apparently is answered by the same person over and over again. Not willing to help, not willing to open a case or complaint, not willing to call the store manager, not willing to escalate the matter. Just said oh quick fix go back to the store. Called back 4-5 times and kept getting same person. Last call I am pretty sure was the same rude unfriendly cocky **shole who I am sure pretended to be someone else at this point and claimed to have escalated the matter to area district manager. One again this company is a rip off and stealing your money especially susceptible patrons. They need to go out do business!!!!

As for James what a jerk! Taking my business for all 5 of my cars elsewhere!

I we t into Arizona ave store to drop off hertz rental while in the parking lot a red dot hit .e in tge chest I looked up and it hit me in the eye..I called customer care because as I looked up I saw were it came from and one of the e.ployees tried to cover the area it came from ..the customer care three way call tge store the asset manager said he was one on duty I described who I saw and the a.m. kept Voiding the question he finally said there's two of us that fit that description and I said w e ll let's get a police report and find out in court he said fin e a d they both hung up so ggen the a.m. came out to look at Nogher vehical but wouldn't come out to see of I was ok and when he realize he was sta ding in front of me he started laughing and tgen I realized he was tge same size as whom I described except he was white the other dark-skinned with facial hair a d the manager had none so I guess over there the policy is to lie and hope no one assaults you cuz your on your own...is this what there taught..is this policy

I am a badge holder with L.A. County. I had the pleasure in meeting a young man who went above and beyond the call of duty. I am speaking about Abraham at the location on Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City. The light came on in my car that said I needed a quart of oil. I drive a BMW and there was no technicians at the BMW dealership on the weekend so I drove to Pep Boys. I bought the oil and Abraham assisted me by putting the oil in my car. He was friendly, humerus and willing to serve me. You have an asset in this gentleman and his staff. Thank you Abraham! ??

I just returned from Pep Boys Store #0753, Sierra Plaza, El Paso, TX. I just have to mention the outstanding service, most especially a gentleman by the name of Dan. Dan was polite, efficient, helpful and a general delight! I listened while he attended others in person and on the telephone. I was not unique, he was that way with everyone.

I am going to counteract a complaint against Pep Boys that I saw on "Yelp" that Pep Boys is one of the best deals on tires in history, and I am glad to see that their service departments are still breathing in California. As a professional machinist , I have done allot of precision work in performance automotive and aerospace , and Pep Boys is not only a good standard , but they display an American ethic that is missing in todays economy.

My experience with pepboys on Rand Rd in arlington Heights was wonderful. I like the friendliness of the front desk service people like Santos and Abel. They were helpful and Knowledgeable about my auto problem. They tell the truth, the whole truth and explain the car problem so even an old lady can understand.Keep Santos and Abel, we need more courteous men like them.They help you leave with a smile on your face. I went to Pep Boys location at 518 Old Post Rd. Edison New Jersey to get oil change. This was the second time I visited that shop this week after what was clearly going to be awful experience but there was a guy called Pierre who saved the day for me. Without going into many details about the glitch, I want to commend the great customer service experience I had from Pierre on September 21, 2022. He made sure I got the oil change done and spoke to me professionally. His level of professionalism and customer service will be the reason why I'll go back to that location. He's an asset to Pep Boys.

This review is long overdue but I've been traveling out of town and didn't have the time to actually sit down and make a review but it's been on my mind because I've never received such excellent customer service dealing with my vehicle. I'm a 50 year old female disabled Persian Gulf War Veteran and the owner of a Cadillac SRX. I assumed my breaks were going bad so I made an appointment with Pep Boys to check thing out for me. The general manager Ronald Broughton came out and sat down with me to explain exactly what was going on with my vehicle. He discussed options with me and gave me his best opinion on what services I should do so I took his advice and got all the services he recommended but because Pep Boys honors U.S Veterans I received a veteran's discount so I got the necessary services, professional and sound advice along with a discount honoring my military service. Ron was professional yet friendly and extremely respectful. My service mechanic Nathan Woods actually came out as well and took me to my vehicle and showed me everything he had done. Never met a nicer young man in my life, he was amazingly informative and respectful something I consider a rarity these days. He than took me back inside to Mrs. Kay at the service desk who was very sweet and helpful as well. She gave me an estimate on upcoming services that I might need so I could save and prepare for them. Lastly I met Carlos who was very excited about his wife's birthday being that day and his excitement filled the entire place. Absolutely everyone was upbeat and in a terrific mood. Thanks Carlos ?

The Pep Boys Service at 1624 Alameda Blvd NW in Albuquerque NM has given me excellent service. They have always been available to help me when I have stopped by for air in my tires, and recently replaced my battery on a Saturday when other places were not open, and just yesterday (November 23, 2021) they were able to secure the shield under my car that was falling off on one side, give me a discount on tires (4 for the price of 2), rotate and align, and also renew pads on front brakes. Michael, the manager, was courteous and very helpful. I'm glad I have a Pep Boys close to my home.

I recently had some extended warranty work accomplished on my 2012 RAM 1500 at the Pep Boys in Griffin Georgia. Jose and Kevin N. the two service managers went above and beyond to ensure I had a seamless experience. They were extremely fast and kept me abreast of all aspects of the repair. I will certainly use the location again in the future when I need any repairs done. I highly recommend this location.

I just wanted to post a comment in regards to the excellent service I had today. Pepboys located in Berlin NJ. I contacted Pepboys in regards to my tire that needed to be check. Matt Smith answered the phone, very courteous and stated he could check out my tires to make sure everything was OK. As soon as I brung my vehicle in to be service. Matt checked it out to reassure me my tires where fine and all that was needed was air. I am a woman that does not have a alot of knowledge in regards to cars so he could had told me I needed a new tire and ripped me off. However, he was very honest. I really appreciate the service. I hope he is giving the recognition that he needs because he really is awesome. Thanks Matt I really appreciate your kindness ?

I thought it was time to write a positive review about customer services and my recent experience. Went to a local Pep Boys in East Brunswick, New Jersey to replace a blown headlamp bulb. Normally a very easy, 30 second procedure to take out the burned bulb and pop in the new one. So I drove down to Pep Boys, bought a new bulb, drove home and installed the new bulb in the car. New bulb didn't work. So I drove back to the store to ask them for another bulb (thought the bulb I had just bought was bad). They checked the bulb I bought, and it worked in the store. OK, now I have a problem...bulb works in the store, but not in the headlight. The parts tech (a young guy named Pat M.) came out to the parking lot with me to see what could be the issue. He took another bulb with him, and a voltage checker to make sure that power was getting to the bulb. Sure enough, no power was getting through to the new bulb on that side (passenger side). The high beams and and right turn indicator lights both worked. So, next possibility is a short or break somewhere in the wire harness where the bulb connects to the housing. That would mean a trip to my mechanic, a few hours trying to determine where the break may be, not having my car while the mechanic tries to fix the problem, etc.
Just as a final check, Pat checked the fuse box to see if I had a blown fuse. Oddly enough, the fuse for the passenger headlamp was MISSING (not blown, but missing altogether from the fuse slot). He popped in a spare fuse, and the headlight was on. So, he saved me the time, trouble, and expense of having to bring my car either to their repair shop or my own mechanic.

My car was serviced at the Dedham Mass Pepboys. I was very pleased with the great customer service by Fernando. He took time and answered questions I had about my brake warranty. You don't usually get that kind of service from people, he is the exception! Employee's that deliver excellent customer service is hard to come by.These are the folks that will keep you coming back! We had to make a check engine stop on the way home from the Keys going to Jacksonville, Fl. We stopped at the store in Jupiter (2064 west indiantown road). Justin not only educated us on the issue we were having but also made arrangements to get parts and then had a technician test the vehicle first to ensure we would not spend $ for nothing. Exemplary Customer Service at 5:00 on a Saturday - very rare these days.

If you are in Jupiter, see Justin at Store # 397. You will have a pleasant experience I promise you.

I was searching for snow tires and having no luck in finding them I decided to stop at Pep Boys in Washington,Pa. I was told they had them but only 2 were on site. John the store rep I was dealing with searched until he found them.He told me I would have to come back the next day and in the snowstorm he kept that promise. I would like to thank him again for going above and beyond in securing snow tires for my vehicle.

I took my car in the pep boys Wood not idle as I waited for them to test it the mechanic came in and told me it did not need repair it just needed to be driven some more I had disconnected the battery to clean it not knowing that it would mess up my memory in the truck no charge thank you very much

I am an ex employee, and first off I'd like to say they do screw customers almost as bad as employees! I was a mechanic and was screwed out of thousands of dollars of commission pay simply because they put it in someone elses name that was paid lower commission rates. The manager also lied about me getting hurt on the job after not filing a workers comp claim. I have seen tire techs doing mechanic work simply because they don't want to pay a mechanic to do it right. I turned down jobs simply because the shop wasn't equipped to do such work and the lifts weren't even safe enough to actually use since they were never really maintained correctly! I would advise to NEVER go to Pep Boys! The integrity and professionalism that once was from the famous company is no more! They are only worried about lining their own pockets and screwing people out of money, customers as well as employees! I have also personally been asked to rig a vehicle that was inoperable to at least make it run long enough to get off the premises, I was even told I would lose my job if I didn't, I didn't touch the vehicle and they had to tow it somewhere else. Again I would advise to NEVER shop or bring your vehicle in for service at ANY PEP BOYS! I have contacted human resource of Pep Boys and they put me on hold for 30 mins then transfer me through 20 people before they finally hang up on me!

I am an employee at this company and it is a horrible company it screws customers over with horrible service cheap fixes and occasionally extremely poor fixed that leave your vehicle worse off. This company welcomes employees as family but treats them like slaves severely underpaid for what we do and cheated out of pay (if a company warranties something they should NOT take part of that out on the labor an employee does it should be at the companies exspence) horrible managers and higher up that do not know how to run shops. If you want a horrible experience and a probability of your vehicle in worse shape bring it to pepboys where the employees are mostly under trained (besides the master techs who pay for there ase certifications out of there own pocket) screw this company get your parts somewhere else because pepboys suck and are not the cheapest around.

I work for Pep Boys and would not recommend their services to anyone. I've done repair work professionally and served in an advisory capacity for other stores. Their training does not build the employee to the level of customer service or knowledge needed to meet the customer's expectations. They place current sales over training to the point where you have to argue with your manager just so he will let you complete one or two mandatory training assignment out of the ten to fifteen that are currently overdue.
On the service side, most shops will not charge a diagnostic fee if they find the problem and you choose to repair it in their business. Pep Boys will charge you the diagnosis then charge you repair, not an unheard of policy, just not a "pro-customer" one.
If you do decide to use Pep Boys, take advantage of their price match plus 5% gaurantee. Just find a shop that has the capability to print a physical estimate sheet with a fair price, and take the estimate to Pep Boys, they will match the price of parts and labor, then take 5% off.
