After being a loyal customer for a couple of years, they switched to the Verizon network. I ordered my new SIM card, installed it, and nothing happened. I spent an hour on the store phone at Best Buy trying to get it to work. They tried so many codes it locked out my SIM card. Bought another one and nearly locked that one out, too, but I managed to get it to work with a 10 year old Tracfone I had laying around. Because suddenly my Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone wasn't compatible. This took another two and a half hours. Then they cancelled my service because I didn't pay, even though I've been on autopay since day one. Got the number reinstated. Will keep it long enough to move it to Mint Mobile. I couldn't understand tech support half the time, the other half they didn't know what they were doing. Tried the website today. It took them five minutes to ask me for my name and number after I stated my problem. After I gave it to them with no response, they said they were still waiting for it. Told them I already gave it to them. No more communication after that. 20 minutes of my day wasted. Worst experience ever.

Unlimited Talk Text Is NOT UNLIMITED
I paid $200 upfront for Unlimited Talk & Tex & during an important phone call my phone went dead, TracFone deactivated my phone for good, after 5 calls to them to find out what happened I was told I used my phone too much as some calls were over 3 hrs they said it breached their terms & conditions, even though they advertise UNLIMITED... So Beware Unlimited is not Unlimited & I was only 12 weeks into my 52 week pre paid phone , also they refused to hand my phone number over to a new carrier. As far as I am concerned they broke the contract and stole my money... Never again.

Been with tracfone since 2009. Now nothing but problems. Monday June12, 2023, I extended my service to August 26, 2023. Everything was fine. Have unl test and talk, 8GB with carryover data, which I got up to what I'm supposed to have now, 55GB. Was actually 56.12 when extended my service. Now my tracfone acount keeps giving me the wrong information. It's says 990 minutes 1000texts and 7.80GB. That was this morning. Yesterday it some other wrong but different information. And also screwed up my service date. Been trying for last three days. Talk to about 20 different people. Some of them say my proper amount og GB and service has been restored to what it supposed to be, but keeps coming up wrong on my tracfone account.

I've been with TracFone for some years now most likely 10:12 I'm not sure but lately their service is getting really bad especially starting in April when they cut my service because they de enrolled me I don't know why they didn't tell me why they said I had to re-enroll I did they sent me a new phone which took a month and they couldn't switch the phone number over they ripped me off for 20 bucks because I had to buy airtime and they didn't give me the air time they took my minutes off me because I used had to call them I don't know 20 times not exaggerating now they took both the lifeline and the ACP from me and the lifeline is what I wanted I don't mind just having the thousand minutes now they screwed me over because they took the $30 towards my internet and to talk to customer service they're kind of dumb because I have to repeatedly call them and they still can't get things right try to talk to a supervisor the agent won't even pass me on to a supervisor the only thing I can do now is check it up with the better Business bureau and the lifeline services himself to let them know what TracFones doing

TracFone was a reliable company for many years. I dealt with them with no real problems. Unfortunately TracFone is no longer reliable as far as handling information is concerned. I have been in contact with customer service numerous times over the past month. Almost every time that I try to log into my account, my email is not recognized as being attached to any account. I spend time with a customer service representative getting it fixed. It works for a day or two and the problem recurs. Thankfully, other companies are much more competent in handling information - imagine if you couldn't reliably log into your email account or your bank account or your social media account. It's really frustrating and terribly annoying not to be able to simply log into my account.

Had a nightmarish day with 3 foreign Tracfone employees, trying to get status of defective phone swap from April 26th
No help, all 3 dropped the line after 15 mins plus, were incapable of tracking UPS & contacting delivery warehouse in TN

What has happened to Tracfone Customer Service? For years it was very satisfactory. Suddenly, their app, My Account, doesn't work and they want you to pay $1 for them to help.I read the numerous customer service complaints; obviously nobody at Tracfone cares. So many things that were simple to do on Trafone is now a pain the××××××ass. Really sad and disgusting.

I agree with other users. There could not be a worst company to deal with. I don't understand why the government has not shut them down. I have been a customer with tracfone for several years and they don't care. I ordered a phone from them and it did not work. They used all of my data trying to get it to work. I returned the phone and have waited 2 months for a replacement. They say they are out of them but they are still listed on the website. If I ever get a new phone I will use my minutes and be done with them. Please do not have any dealings with this company.

Tracfone customer service is nonexistent in phone repairs; its is a scam if you buy a phone through Tracfone; don't do it.

I agree they are the worst company. I got a new phone and it did not work. I spent several days and minutes to try to get it fixed. They used all of my data trying to fix it. They finally said the phone was defective and to return it. I returned it and heard nothing. I called and the said they shipped a replacement. I waited a month and no phone. I called and they said they were out of that phone and said I would have to accept a different phone. They would not give me a refund and I still have not received a phone. It has been 2 months and they do not care.

Been with tracfone for years. Just bought a new phone, that doesn't work. Been on line with tracfone the last 5 days, they keep telling me to wait 2 - 4 hours and call back...no satisfaction. They have my money and I have a phone that doesn't work. I'm out the money for a new phone and appx 10 hours on line while they tried to fix it.

Do not get anything to do with Tracfone. I have been with them for some 15 years. Since Verizon has taken over I cannot make calls. Always out of range. I lost my keypad they said they would send a new phone and than return the old one. Instead I received a envelope saying to return the old phone and than they would send me my new one. Just another lie. This company should go out of business they cannot even speak English. It is like they are programmed to screw there customers.

Since tracfone was brought out,found out when I tried to make a call said no service I had around 2500 min..told me I had to go buy another phone,because the did not replace it,So I did.I and two other people tried to set the new one up. Said no contest.They also took 400 min away.Some cook up story.this started some the last of May.For the first few mouth I called.They had have a bunch of information,this happen over and over.?brought a card for the new phone.I can not get any where on this phone.About the only thing I can get is call.It take sometimes 15 min to call a number.I spent around 3houres 2/15/2023. Talking to coustmer service try to get the phone to work,all I really got the run around.Never did get it to work.Today we tried to make a call,would not even let us make a call.this has been going on since the last of May,till today.Still not working.Went last July and brought a year of min,keep from loosing the 1100,00 min I had roll over.They even tried to tell me they didn't roll over.I called the company that brought (v) them out,waste of time.If you check on line.They are slowly phasing Tracfone out.I have had Tracfone for many years.Had no problem,till they was brought out.This is small sample of the problems,the time And etc..They have use every kind of excuse,lay and etc.to keep this from working.The Ceo of both company should read these comence.I would not recommend this phone company,to any one.

I would not recommend Tracfone to anyone , they are crap. Just re-up my phone 2 days ago and they said my data is already gone. Bulls___. My phone is always messing up. I is so slow. Their company should not even be a company. Don't get them ,ever. I would rate them -10.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SINCE JAN. 1, 2023!
Customer for OVER ELEVEN YEARS and now, they have STOLEN OVER $440 worth of service from mine and my wife's phone, neither of our phones currently work and I agave spent at LEAST FIFTY HOURS with their AWFUL BROKEN ENGLISH SPEAKING TECH SUPPORT to no avail!
We have thousands of minutes, texts, and data left and WE ARE LEAVING.
F YOU TRACFONE.
No way to get ANYTHING FIXED! Total RIP OFF ARTISTS!

I have been a tracfone for 5 years. my old phone quit working due to upgrades so I received a new phone from tracfone . It will not work and I have talked with tech support with about 10 different techs and have got nowhere. I'm looking to have this resolved! my phone has not had service for over a month. Very sorry excuse for phone company!

I Do Not Know How This Company Can Operate With Such Horrible Customer Service. People There Are All Managers You Can Never Talk To Someone Competent Enough To Take Care Of A Simple Issue.they Keep You On Phone For About A Hour Nothing Gets Resolve They Just Keep Updating Account Information And To Call Back In 3 Days Its Just A Vicious Cycle.if Companies Like This Operate In The Usa They Need To Hire Customer Service In The Usa. I Have Been Dealing With An Issue Since October 2022, It Is Now Jan 2023 Issue Not Resolve And I Keep Calling Every 3 Days

I've been a Tracfone customer for about 1.5 years. Yesterday, my phone service abruptly stopped. Text and internet still work, but no calls in or out. I used the chat customer service at first. After a couple of messages the rep just vanished. Phone service at least walked me through troubleshooting, but they were hopeless. They told me changes to their network were not compatible with my phone, and I'd need to get a new one. My phone is Volte enabled and LTE/4G, which is supposed to be supported through Nov of 2024. I've spent most of yesterday evening and today looking for answers on the web after giving up on their customer service. Beware! I'm out of here as soon as I can be.

i have a tracfone which was deactivated today. i called to find out why.



i was told that the phone was restricted because i made a purchase of a phone card of over a hundred dollars on a visa card in december and that there apparently was a dispute and that tracfone refunded my money. i was told the only way my phone could be reactivated is if i pay for the minutes i used on the card that i purchased.



i made no purchase from Tracfone in December or for at least four or five months prior. no purchase was made in december, there was no dispute, and tradfone has not refunded any money to my account. I have checked my bank records.



i spoke to at least five tracfone customer service representatives and was told that the only way my service could be reactived was if i paid for the minutes i had used from the december purchase of a tracfone card. they all repeated the same story. they all said they could do nothing. three of the agents told me they were transferring me to a different department. and the different department phone just continuously rings, but no person answers.



one of the agents told me that the only way i could resolve the problem was to contact my VISA account. i responded that the VISA account would not be able to help since there was no record of a purchase from Tracfone in December, there was no record of any dispute, and no one has refunded any money to my VISA account.



apparently traacfone is involved with some other customer and has incorectly involved my account but is unwilling to acknowledge their mistake. now, i still have a deactivated tracfone



my phone had approximately a years time remaining, about a thousand minutes, perhaps 4 - 5000 texts and almmost four GB of data remaining.. a simple review of my account should have prompted someone to question whether i would need to purchase something in December.



Tracfone has incredibly poor customer service. Be warned.

Tracfone worked great for many years now it roams constantly. I knew Verizon would mess with it after taking over. Time for a change of service.

-I agree 100%. Tracfone is absolutely the worst. I was their customer for about 10 years and put up with their absolutely abysmal customer service. My last attempt to deal with the lasted 7 days and I spoke to at least 20 service representatives and my phone is still not right. Nineteen of them did not speak comprehensible English or did not understand English and/or were totally incompetent. I highly recommend that Tracfone be avoided at all costs.
