I experienced a 15+ minute "on hold", but then was connected with a very pleasant customer service person who (hopefully) quickly resolved my problem.

I have to say I had a different experience. I read the comments before I called myself. It seems that the biggest complaint was that it's hard to get a person to speak to. I believe there is something a lot might not know. After you are given the options and the recording that says, "Thank you for calling Yahoo." The service acts as though they are done with you and hanging up. Most people probably hang up when they hear that and hang up too soon. I waited a bit longer then a second recording came up. I was given more options and then I press #2. It took maybe 10 minutes and I got a person. That was a pleasant surprise. You have to be ready with the questions they ask. 1: What ID you go under. 2: The City and zip code you have in your account. 3: Be prepared to answer two security questions NOTE: You are given two chances to answer correctly. After that its easy money. In total, I spent close to 20 minutes on the phone with Yahoo. Good Luck you guys.
Had to call a few times, but I did get a real human who helped me and now I am back up and running. No it didn't cost me anything. Just have to be patient and persistent sometimes. Thanks Yahoo for 12+ years of flawless free email! This is the first time I have ever had difficulty accessing my account. It was frustrating for a moment but now the moment has passed :)
I was on hold forever. However, once I got a hold of an agent she was very helpful. I could tell that English wasn't her first language but it didn't wasn't difficult to understand her. I had forgotten my new password. She asked a couple of prompt questions and I was able to answer even though I couldn't figure out the right answer on my computer. The chat help online said it was busy and I never could get ahold of anyone that way.
Great once i got a hold of a opwrson on the phone. Kind of hard to find how to deal with our situation - frustrating.
(Our e mail was hacked and used to send out scamming e mails to all our contacts - we lost all e mails in the in box and in Joe's folder as well as our address book_
Heeeey, what do you know!!!! Yahoo answered my phone call with a live person within 8 minutes and they even let me speak with someone who could speak English cleraly!!! they reset my password with 3 minutes after asking a few security questions and I was on my way!!! I am impressed. Total turn around from last time I tried to call them....Took over an hour!

My yahoo acct was hacked about a week ago. Many fraudulent emails were sent from my acct. My email addy book was wiped out, my stored emails were wiped out. I rebuilt my addy book (no small task) and sent out notices to all whose email addys I could replicate. The next day, GONE! Then it locked me out of my acct. Today I found the above number and spoke to a gentleman named Daniel. Daniel took my complaint ( he spoke American dialect English) and treated me politely. He gave me a case number and told me that someone will be contacting me within 24 hours. We shall see.
Feb 3, 2011. Help arrived!! Made contact with the newly posted phone number. Mr Rege analyzed my problem of being hacked and spammed. Within 30 minutes he had enlisted the "Security Team" who will solve my EMBARASSING position and being locked out and suspended abruptly three times. Hurray for the unhappy comments posted earlier. Yahoo reacted and helped me immensely with quick solution to my problem. My thanks to my predecessors with the same problem. Jim Dunbar, Austin, TX.

I just called, pressed 2 and a customer service rep came on right away. I was sent an email saying I changed my password; the only problem is I didn't. The agent checked into it and assured me that my account is safe, and although the email was generated from Yahoo , it was sent to me as SPAM due to a "worm" they are dealing with.
I am so impressed with the level of customer service I received today. I called customer service a few minutes ago. After pressing 2 and a very brief hold, I was connected to a rep named Jundi. He was professional and courteous. I was having an issue logging into my account that I have had for more than a decade. It seems I was hacked into. Jundi helped me through the process of changing my account info and passwords. I literally felt like he was holding my hand walking me through it. He wouldn't let me hang up until he was sure that everything was up and running properly. Thanks yahoo for having such a great customer service rep.
I just spoke with Ray at Yahoo. Didn't take long to reach someone.
I had been hacked into and all my passwords changed by the hackers.
Ray helped get me back on track and gave me a case number so if I had to call back anyone who answers can help me again.
