After being a customer with Allstate for 9 years, for both home and vehicles(3), they chose to terminate policy, citing too many claims. Note in the 9 years of having all those policie I made 3 claims; 1. roof (which was blown off by a freak wind storm, 2. water heater failed and flooded my basement, and 3. damaged caused by Sandy.

I see this as unfair, especially since I have no control over a storm.

Termination notice was made to my Allstate agent of which now after two-months claims not to had received any notification. Currently, Allstate is charging for past due balance despite my notification. This company has been negligent in dealing with notifications, providing insurance cards and/or good customer service.

After being a customer of Allstate beginning in 1998, I'm am leaving due to poor customer service and some shenanigans to increase my payment. After being an consistant and loyal customer, with auto and home policies with Allstate, my auto policy was not renewed and only after a letter from the State of Georgia of a notice of pending penalty for not insurance, was I aware of that my policy had be cancelled for over 60 days. The only response my "Agent" Tamara Gatson in conyers, Ga could give was that we can re-instate the policy, but it will be $40 more dollars a month. This doesn't sound like I'm in good hands, if after being a claim-free and loyal customer for over 10 year....all you can say is 'opps'.

I had a hot water break. It flooded my kitchen, dinning room, and breakfast room. Allstate has a clause that state. The brake in the line must be above the slab. Of course mine is not. 16 year as a customer. Never had a claim. I'm not giving them another 16 years and I would recommend to you not to give them any.

After 60 years of being a faithful Allstate customer, my 89 year old Mother breaks a hip and has to move to into assisted living. Her home was rented to assist with expences and Allstate was notifed that the policy was voided due to the change in status. Allstate still wanted money even though they no longer provided insurance and turned my mother over to a collection agency that hounds her for $91, calling her day and night and sending her threating letters. I will never do business with these people ever again.

We obtained insurance from Allstate for our motorcycles, we were quoted a rate for one year, and gave them our bank account information so that premiums would be paid automatically. We received a temporary card but never got the permanent cards, so we called Allstate. Got transferred 5 times, each time had to give the same information, and kept getting put on hold for long amounts of times (over 10 minutes) and got hung up on. They told us we were canceled but did not know why. Nothing was resolved. Terrible customer service, they obviously don't want money.

Last week my daughter went to purchase a vehicle. We called Allstate and got them to insure the new vehicle. We ended up taking the vehicle back--it was junk. I called Allstate the same day to cancel the policy. I have called Allstate customer service 4 times in the past week. Every time I am told they are canceling the policy just to find out the next time I call that the policy hasn't been cancelled. I have been told that I will get my money back anywhere from 5-14 dys. But, they were in a really big hurry to take it out of my checking acct. Allstate's customer service has no idea what is going on and they will tell you anything just to get you off the phone. As soon as I can find another insurance company we are cancelling all of our policies with Allstate. Beware, if you need your money like I do--don't go with Allstate. You may never see it again.

My mother took out a policy from Allstate and they got the address wrong and cancel the policy. We tried numerous times to tell them that we did not live in a mobile home. But they did not believe us. they cancel the policy and send back some of the money. i totally agree with these comments Allstate policy (homeowners policy is for the birds. That motto You are in good hands need to say you are in no hands!

Allstate sucks..i had someone hit me and take off over a year ago, called in and was told not to worry about a thing..theyd take care of me.I had all required insurance.Over a year later, since ive hired an attorney, it looks like I might finally get some money from them.LOL they actually just now asked to see the vehicle ( like I said, been a year) and i had to inform them that it had been taken to the junk yard long ago.Now their trying to refuse to pay off the car cause they didnt see it, even tho i sent them pics and an estimate well over a year ago, and they coulda seen it at any time back then. Why would i keep a wrecked, totaled vehicle in my driveway for over a year? LOL
Heed my warning people..drop allstate while you still can!!

I have always found Allstate questionable as far as honor is concerned. Their decisions on claim submissions and their reputation for low-balling claims are historical. My parents had problems with them and I have, along with many friends, who used your company to insure homes, cars, boats, rentals, etc. The news story on the $37.00 pay out to one of the Storm Sandy residents is appalling and, unfortunately, doesn't shock me. I find it unbelievable how money oriented this company is. How can you justify decisions like this? Especially in the face of such tragedy. Furthermore, I have had Esurance for many years and have opted to go with another company because of their new affiliation with your company.

I have been with Progressive auto and home insurance since 2/2009. The premium on my home went up $150 a year ($795) which didn’t help much because I have been laid off of work since 7/2012. I received a call from an Allstate rep on the phone around 10/31/2012 asking about my current auto and home insurance provider to see if they could save me some money.

So for the heck of it, I gave the Allstate Rep some info to compare quotes. He said he could save me over $100 for the year on the car and home if I switched. I told him that I would think about it, and give him a call back. He then said he would call me back because there wasn’t a direct line. So he called back about 7 times and I finally said yes.

The insurance came into effect on 11/7/2012. Everything seemed fine until I received a call from a Allstate (Cindy on 1/4/2013 at about 12:00 pm), a local agent here in WI informed me that they are cancelling my insurance as of January 19, 2013 because of one of their inspectors took a photo of my house that shows one portion of the house has to many shingles on the roof.

I have a brand new complete tear down on the upper main part of my home done in 2009. The part they are talking about from what she explained over the phone was the roof to the 10'x9' mud room that has a torch down/rubber roof over a few rows of the legal limit of shingles. When the main roof was replaced in 2009, I had the roofer look at the mud room roof and he said the material is here, and it’s fine. In 4/2012 when I received my taxes I had a roofer come out once again for a second opinion to see if the roof should be replaced. He told me what the other roofer told me that the roof is fine, and the most I would have to do is maybe brush tar on it to maintain it.

After the call from Allstate, I called back Progressive to see if they would take me back...They would, but since I left they had to give me a new quote as a new account. He pulled up my info and he said due to the premiums going up in the us because of natural disasters, and the economy, my new premium would be $1200 instead of the $795 I had in 11/2012!

At this point I’m very upset. I called Allstate’s 1-800 number to get a manager. I then was talking to Ronda, and I told her that I thought it was wrong that they insured me only to drop me a month later, and now I would have to pay a much larger amount if I went back to Progressive. She forward my concern to a complaint department for review and said they would get back to me within 48 hours. I said ok, and hung up.

I then tried to call Geico, and they were more outrageous...$2048 for the year on my home! None of the smaller places were any better.

At about 3:06 pm I received a call from Steve from Allstate’s complaint department. I have to tell you that this was a total waste of time. He said that there was nothing he, or his manager could do because it was their guidlines to insure homes. I asked why they took my account if they were only going to drop me? I added that if there was a chance of them dropping me after this inspection of my house why didn’t they make me aware of this before they took my full year payment? He said that they didn’t have to disclose that information to me. I then told him that maybe they should check the homes before they convince a customer to switch from the company they are with now. He said that it would cost their company too much money to have a house looked at before a customer commits. I told him that this was wrong, and that I was very upset! Not only that I won’t have insurance come 1/19/2012, I can’t afford the insurance from my previous insurance company because of them. I asked if I could talk to his underwriter to see if they could maybe exclude the portion of the house that has the problem, and I would sign a waiver...This rude man just laughed and said he couldn’t give my the underwriters number, and he can’t even call them.

Allstate premiums seem to go up for no reason whatsoever. If you call them and complain, they seem to punish you and raise them even higher. I have also noticed an increase in their premiums everytime social security benefits rise. No rhyme or reason to their calculations other than pure maliciousness. I as well as other family members have also noticed this. It seems to be a big joke now - and they are the only ones laughing-----all the way to their bank!!!

I've been a customer of Allstates for over 30 years and never filed ONE CLAIM. My son had an accident and they've had the car for 2 MONTHS in their collision shop! Because THEY did not put rental on my son's car (we have it on the other 2 cars) we've had to pay for rental out of pocket and they could care less! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN and plan to tell everyone I know of their awful despicable service.

We also had Allstate for over a decade. One accident, hit from behind 2010. 1 yr old car. The car was reported as totaled by the other insurance company involved. The collision center recommended by Allstate also stated that the car was totaled. Our policy had a new car replacement if car was totaled with 3 years. It was a 1 year old car. Allstate, subsequently reinspected the vehicle and decided that it was not really totaled. I asked for a list of repairs that were needed to be made, and was refused by the Allstate inspector. I believe the frame was bent. No one I know would ever put their child back in that damaged/repaired car. I wrote to the CEO of Allstate. Allstate would not changed their position and I was left to file a claim in small claims court. We changed from Allstate for all 4 cars, homeowners, flood, and umbrella policies and went with AMICA. Our typical annual insurance bill exceeds the amount that is due to us from ALLSTATE, so basically, ALLSTATE (agents and CEOS)really doesn't care about you or your family. Nor do ALLSTATE's TV spokespersons. So if you still have ALLSTATE it is your own fault. Use the JD Powers reviews to find an insurance company that has high customer claims satisfaction.

Believe it or not we "were" Allstate customers for over 20 years, despite cost increases. In all of that time once one person hit my truck who also had Allstate - in that instance Allstate responded satisfactorily. Allstate also partially helped to replace a hail damaged roof about 6 years ago. Over the years we have probably paid Allstate in excess of $25,000 and did get back about $8,000 in claims - what a deal - right? Anyway when we missed one payment when I transferred to another state and my wife did not understand we needed to pay them, Allstate cancelled our policies. We could only reinstate our policy at nearly 5 times the cost we were originally paying which was higher than average as it was. Wow - loyalty doesn't pay anymore - seems to be all about greed. Needless to say we are now with another company and paying a lot less.

ALLSTATE;one of their policy holders hi me by backing up into my front end landing on my engine hood with his 1977 van, they claimed responsibility for the accident, i was told by miss morales POMONA,CA, that i needed to pay for the damages out my pocket, the checked out my car & would not let me or my autobody guy know how much the estimate was, also my car rental was to be payed by me then submit the bill to her, she was nasty & condenscending, i was made to look like an idiot, i then contacted my company geico & they spoke with her & said that the estimate was 1,800 a low ball amount, also found out the their client had a max of 5,000, so whats the problem with fixing my car & paying for my rental???this is BS...DON'T JOIN THIS BS COMPANY, THEY ARE THE WORST...

I am disappointed with the service that I have recieved from Allstate. I just got a letter in the mail saying that they will not renew our policy because of 2 license suspension's that happened 4 years ago for a parking ticket that I did not even know that I had. I call to talk to someone and it is one excuse after another, and when I asked to speak to a manager she kept talking and said that the manager could not over ride it, I told her that was not the point, that I just wanted to talk to a manager and she kept talking, can some one please teach them about customer service. I will never deal with them, and I will tell my friends and family not to either.

Allstate is horrible. I have had Allstate Insurance for 21 years (my entire adult life) and they give me absolutely zero benefits for that loyalty. No discounts or anything. I guess that I only stay with them out of laziness, but I am now determined to look elsewhere. I just had an experience where there billing department volunteered the idea that I could pay half of a bill last month and the remainder by the twenty-third of this month. I received another call from them a couple weeks later and I reminded them of that arrangement. They agreed that it was fine. I made the entire payment on the 21st. Then I received a call today (the 26th) that they canceled the policy. After about two hours of dealing with it today, the basically admitted that they were wrong, but they did nothing to make it better. They issued me a brand new policy (instead of reinstating the old one) at a higher rate. I am very pissed off and I will only keep this policy long enough to find another one. 21 years straight (since I was 18 years old) that I have been insured by them (a couple cars at a time). Many thousands of dollars lately, their horrible service and lack of any recoginition of customer loyalty, are driving me elsewhere.

allstate is the worst insurance company in america.they deny claims in order to profit .it has taken 2 and 1/2 months on our loss .and we keep getting the run around .now we have to talk to a lawyer.allstate sucks you are not in good hands.

I was in my house last week as my car got side swiped by a lady who has Allstate. She was very cooperative, we had the police over to make a report, she called her insurance immediately after the incident and Allstate called the following day to set up an adjuster visit. It's two days later than they said and no adjuster. Meanwhile i'm out of a car and it sits at the collision garage waiting for their estimate. I'm inconvenienced because of company that does bad business. My own insurance company called today to see where they are at and told them my displeasure with Allstate. That company is a joke and i'm glad I don't use them. I'll stick with Erie Insurance here in PA.

To Whom it may concern.

I have been trying to get in contact with your adjusters (Laquinta and Kentrell) for several weeks, I sent SEVERAL emails, left SEVERAL messages, ( all documented) however no body replied to me. Now I received a letter for a mediation request, how I am suppose to do any mediation with anyone from your company, if NOBODY call back nor reply emails?
Do we really need to involve our lawyers in this claim? I have pictures AND paper work signed by your insured to support our bill.
This is the way Allstate works? I am not sure about that. Around The Clock was willing to negotiate the bill, however No interest was shown from AllState. Are you in good hands?????????? Gotta be kidding!!!!
