Since moving to AZ in Dec. 2016 - and signing up for COX @ $89. per month... the costs have been increasing continually.
In January 2022, I called to complain about this again (MONTHLY COST HAD INCREASED TO $182.98 SINCE DEC. 2017). I spoke with a woman in OK... she told me that if I would agree to remain with COX for 24 months, she would "lock in" my rate for TV & internet at $172.50 per month (for some unknown and inexplicable reason... this included $20 per month for phone! I do NOT have a COX phone... but in order to get this lower rate.... she said that this was an essential inclusion). So... for the past 12 months I have been paying the agreed upon $172.50 per month.

NOW - the January 2023 bill has arrived... stating the amount due to be $180.47 per month.
This morning I have spoken with two men (ONE in KS, THE OTHER in OK - both so adept at reading their script).... they are telling me that I still have the "discounts" agreed upon... the rates for TV have increased - (over which these men tell me they have no control). In other words... making an agreement with one COX representative a year ago (Also in OK) means nothing today.
HONESTY IS NOT A CONCERN AT COX. A TRULY DISGUSTING COMPANY... WISH I LIVED WHERE HAVING ANOTHER OPTION WOULD BE POSSIBLE.

I applied for, and was approved for, Affordable Connectivity Program. Instructions are to call my provider, give them the approved ID #, but Cox says "there is a problem with your account; you must apply again" I can't do that a second time! I'm already approved! It is a separate entity from Cox, but Cox referred me to it to reduce my bill. AAAGGGHHHH!!!!! I need financial relief as a 75-year-old on SS!

I've been having issues with freeze frame and pixelation. I attempted to reset boxes using the Cox App which did not work so I had to manually reset the box which didn't correct this issue. I called customer service and had to listen to the useless prompts so I could TALK to someone about the problem. After they reset the box it temporarily fixed the issue but they stated a tech should come out to investigate because the app should work to reset boxes. On the day of my appointment the tech showed up over an hour early without contacting me to let me know. He stated no phone number was on the work order. He also had no booties to wear in my clean home. I ended up kicking him out of my house and calling to complain. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service Cox! It's nice to see how you respect your customers.

They seem to do "maintenance" during off hours, which "conveniently" occurs after their customer service hours. 0 out or 5 stars.

We arrived at our seasonal AZ condo on 1-3-23 and I called to set up our cable and wifi services. At that time, I was told that those services had been instead set up in early November and that we had been billed for two months for services at (+$300) no one requested or used. I spoke to two different reps, each claiming that we would receive a refund. One rep, Caleb, told me that he had submitted a refund form and that their bank would email me within three days. Instead I received a confusing email from Cox so I called back to their customer service. Finally I was told that the refund request was rejected.
Cox should treat their customers much better and not employ shady practices. Buyer beware of this unscrupulous company!

Pausing and playback of TV shows is glitchy and extremely inferior to satellite providers. You can only pause a show for about 25 minutes, and it will arbitrarily jump to live tv.

COX Communications gives horrible customer service! Like really awful. The tv/cable remotes keep having issues we can't resolve. I'm pretty tech-savvy and have had to get a technician out twice, which they charge for. Even getting the appt is a huge hasslE. Today I didn't text back a "C" to confirm my appointment I JUST MADE TODAY - so it was automatically cancelled! 30 minutes later I finally have a new appt.
If you text with an agent. They say hi, 5 minutes later ask for your pin, 5 minutes later say thank you..... this company seriously drives me crazy. This account is part of my apartment's bundled services/bill otherwise I would have dropped them YEARS AGO!!! So if you have any choice about it, pick some other company!

Legit criminal they are awful but only choice we have besides frontier. Customer service is THE WORST they are so rude.

We were customers for years while we lived in Las Vegas. When we moved we toke the equipment with us so we could send it back when we got the box. Cox changed it policy about sending boxes. I made several calls, two of which said they would send me a box. They never did sent the box. What's worst they said we have two pieces of equipment and that if we didn't drive 4 1/2 hours to return our modem they would charge me for both. The rep said that until they got the modem nothing would change on the account even though they know now we never had the other piece of equipment. I have made more then 10 calls and the last one was an hour and half. I'm done

The virtual agent is as helpful as a rock under my shoe. They suck and kept giving me the run around. My bill went up 20$ and they couldn't tell me why!!!

I've had Cox for 15 years and pay over twice what it worth, but when I spend 30 minutes in the phone and still haven't got the service reboot. It's time to move on! Maybe more would do thus if the liberals that control it would more interactive with there customers that pay there salaries...

I am very disappointed with cox service. Had the service for several weeks now and still can't watch my tv or view my homelike camera. Very poor service. Don't hide this. I do not recommend this service to anyone dead or alive

Just moved to new house, waiting almost 3 weeks to get Internet scheduled for today and less than an hour before scheduled time Cox calls to reschedule because they have NO Modems...told me to go buy my own if I wanted Internet or wait till they get some in which they have not a clue when that will be. I say shove it up your ASS!!!!!

My feedback is very specific. You must let folks know that when the cable box goes (Cox employees tell me the average is 2 years before they need to be replaced), everything recorded on DVR, for which we pay extra by the way, is lost. I've spoken to so many people who experienced the loss of programs like I did.
I know there's a new wireless type of box that records to the cloud but I have an auxiliary speaker & there is no input/output capability for that on it.
So I now know to keep a list of the shows I record and have marked my calendar for the time when I expect to have to replace the box & will watch all my favorites.
It's not a difficult thing to do.

If you have another source of cable, go with it. Cox is NOT reliable. To reach a customer service you need to go through a lot of prompts before talking to someone (usual wait time 30-60 minutes). Cox is forever (daily) down.

1) TV goes out multiple times per day 2) very slow internet service 3) wait time for tech support far too long 4) TV channels are mostly ALL RERUNS! 5) overpriced 6) they send out NON-COX technicians who know NOTHING to fix problems unless you insist on a COX person.Even they don't know "how to solve issues". One technician actually urinated on the floor of my powder room and made a huge mess! I don't want to see reruns of shows in the late 50's I cannot stand Rizzoli & Isles or back-to-back same shows all day every day on multiple channels! Their TV channels SUCK!

I have been with Cox 24 years. 3 weeks ago our cable started acting up, picture freezing up, glitching etc. The Cox technicians have been to our house 3 times. Replaced 3 cable boxes, replaced all the cables. We still have the same problem. I don't know what to do. I have taken time from work to wait for all the technicians, still have the problem. I am at a loss. We pay more for our cable than a car payment $278 a month. Who do I call to get this resolved?

After 3 years of service my bill keeps climbing up. Absolutely not good for such loyal customers!
Service goes in and out constantly with issues of pictures scrambled and no sound.

Have done online chat to try to set up auto pay on a certain day of month. The 1st time the agent was uninformative and unhelpful, but they assured me it was set up as requested. They then charged me 2 weeks before the requested date, causing my bank to be overdrawn. 2nd chat, the agent told me that the 1st agent set it up wrong, and promised a refund, which turned out to be only partial. Now my account shows an overdue balance with a threat of interrupted service, even tho I'm signed up for ezpay.

Streaming with Cox panoramic wifi is definitely not what it is advertised to be. Alot of lag. Modem sits right next to the computer and still lags alot. I guess if you love alot of lag and buffering than cox is the leader in that department.I have to go to the starbucks down the street so I don't have any lag. I have to sit there but I guess that's the trade off. You have to be a little inconvenienced to get quality service.

Cox took an entire billing cycle to connect new service.

Had to give huge deposit. Suddenly i'm getting spam email and texts, some texts from some foreigner, some bot texts - crazy stuff. First technician to arrive did not have wire necessary to complete job, then days later on second visit did not have necessary tool to complete the job. After the technician repeatedly failed to show up for third try, and after repeatedly getting the run around with tech support trying to sell me a maintenance package, a different tech showed and completed the job.

Three visits over a 4 week period, i finally have service but the wires are sloppily hanging from pole, wire draping across yard, cable hardly secured to side of house, ground wire is connected to the meter pan with some goofy looking adapter, and last but not least, wire from Cox box to set location is laying on ground under house.

To this day all i get is run around and sales pitch. Cox has never been stellar, but now it's a monopoly with an anti-customer mentality. Unfortunately this attitude has become the norm. Bad service history, careless outlook on tomorrow, just pay your bill or pay disconnect fee if you don't like it.

Have been without TV service 9 days! I get NOTHING FROM COX AS THERE IS INTERFERENCE ON MY LINE. IN MY BLOCK of 10 homes 2 people have Cox, the other 8 have AT&T. THEY USED TO HAVE COX. You can see the houses thar had Cox with the dangling lines from the Pole or Power lines. Also Per Google there is NO CORPORATE TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR COX. Read their narrative on the web. Its a Fairy Tale rhetoric. Read these reviews here. This is real life. i have had Cox for 35 years. Only resolution to ONE proble. is I made a complaint to FCC. Which is very easy to do online.
