Text app says NO OUTAGE, Phone app says OUTAGE. Call Cox....message says outage, then hangs up. COX LIES....COX LIES. NO TV FOR A WEEK.

Worst company ever. Pay my bill on time every month yet there is always an issue with service. My internet is out more than it is available. All equipment and internet connection is excellent yet can't connect to internet. Then I have to pay an extra $75 to have someone look at it and configure whatever settings they rigged up to get my internet to stop working in the first place. SCAM!!! All they want is money. Then these idiots opened up a new account without my authorization and sent it into collections screwing up my credit. Even after contacting them to question the account on numerous occasions, they insisted that there was not another account. If that was the case then why did this $9 bill just go into collections. I've had nothing but issue after issue with this company. Beware and stay far away from this Scamming company.

Cox communications is the biggest rip off artists in the TV provider industry. Every month I get a bill so high, I want to scream and pull my hair out and kick someone in the ass at COX.Miss two days on a payment and the bastards have the audacity to charge me $7.50. What really burns me up is the fact that I am always ahead of the next months charges. There customer service people are absolutely clueless, next to worthless. Time to find another provider I am tired of making monthly service truck payments via my cable bill to these Jackoffs.

Aweful. Unfortunately they have have a monopoly on the valley of Phoenix. Every night around 12 AM you will have no internet. So those of us that work during times will have NO internet. And of course they will say no outage. Sh*t company. This can go on for 2-6 hours or more. It's a ripoff.

I've been on and off Cox for years and I've come to the conclusion that they are money first, customer last. Technicians are good people, but I wish I didn't have to see them so often. I've moved around several times in the last few years and, each time, I pray that I can get another service. Unfortunately, they seem to have quite the monopoly on my local area. I setup the WiFi for my new place a week ago and it seemed to be working fine. On day one of working from home, the whole thing quit and we were told no one could come out until the end of the week since the technicians are so busy. Sounds like I'm not the only poor sucker stuck with terrible service. I'm just waiting for the day I can switch to Starlink.

I've been with Cox over 30 years and have always been happy... until 2022. If you're in the Oklahoma City area you may want to consider AT&T or Dish. Cox has gone downhill. You'll only be frustrated ordering Cox. The service is interrupted a lot, or is disrupted for LONG periods of time.

COX communications is AWFUL! TV contour boxes go out multiple times per week: Certain channels fail to have sound: ALL channels except news are RERUNS!! Having to have FOUR cox repair guys out was useless as we were told "we don't know what the problem is". Internet service is spotty & very slow. One service guy asked to use restroom then urinated on the floor & didn't flush the toilet! Another one decided to rearrange where the tv was plugged in rather than getting on the floor to plug it in where it should have been. You do NOT mess with my electronic keyboard by moving it as if it were a box & unplugging it "because he's too obese & lazy to get under a chest of drawers"!! SERVICE IS DEFINITELY NOT RRLUABLE‼️?

Cox thinks it is ok to limit its customers internet access. They "filtered" the ports on the router (which means closed the ports) and refused to reopen them. They think it is ok to do this like some kind of nanny state nonsense. I can handle MY OWN internet security. They have disallowed me access to my Brothers Plex server. This is not their concern and none of their business. We pay full price for their so called "service" but do not get full internet access. That's just loose butt hole and they can go 'ef their selves. After their little discount for the dissatisfaction, we will be switching to Century Link fiber. Century Link does not take it upon themselves to decide for their customers what they can access or not access. I'd give a big fat zero on the stars here if I could. Cox needs to add the name Suckers or Sockets to their name.

I returned equipment boxes to the store on 59th ave and Bell rd in Phoenix and purposely made them give me a receipt. They lost the equipment and tried to charge me for the cable boxes. Then when I called the Cox supervisor could see that I returned them but 'per her policy' had to fill out a research form to find their lost equipment. I have no control over what happened to their equipment after I returned it but now I have a bill hanging over my head until their form is resolved???? I think not! You cannot place the responsibility on your former customers for your incompetent staff! That is not how the world works nor is it how to run a business. I will tell this story to anyone who asks me about your horribly unprofessional service! Hopefully, others will stop using you too and your behavior can ruin your company for you

Worst internet I've ever had. It will be out for DAYS and the employees always try to sell me more products while looking into why my internet isn't working. Day three without internet. Thanks Cox.

Cox cares about 2 things and 2 things only: signing you up for service, and collecting your money. Beyond that, they couldn't care less if their internet service lived up to promised speeds, if their internet service was on and working, or if you leave. Their customer service reps don't seem to understand that we can prove them wrong simply by looking at the website. I was trying to tell one that the system pre-qualified me for a promotion but upon checking out it wasn't proceeding. The rep told me she couldn't see the promotion, and when I suggested I send her a screen shot of the page, she said they don't have email addresses. (I used to work there, I had a cox.com email address) If you sign up for service and they offer a better price within your 30 day money back window, they will not match the updated price; when you explain that it would cost them more for you to leave than it would for them to match the offer they're giving other people, they don't care in the least and tell you how to feel. Cox is by far the worst company and I would suggest you pick ANY provider other than them.

I have had ongoing issues with internet for the past 5 months. 5 different technicians have been out and supposedly everything working - for a day. Calling Cox for service is a trial in itself, I have been disconnected several times, then rep tells me 'sorry there's a outage in your area', blah, blah, blah.
I now have no internet. Went to Cox office yesterday, the rep said there was an UNPLANNED OUTAGE in area. She suggested I might want to upgrade my modem. So I bought a new modem and installed this morning, called Cox to have them send the boost to it. They aren't allowed because there is an outage. This outage has been ongoing for months and now I have absolutely no service (at least it was intermittent before). Went back to Cox store and spoke w manager. He supposedly is having a person higher up the chain of command call me to get this resolved - in the next 3-4 days. So I wait.

Our internet has been up and down since September. We've gone thru 5 technicians, endless customer service reps, yet they still can't seem to communicate with each other or take initiative to fix the damn thing. You wouldn't leave someone without water or electricity, so why would you leave them without internet. I need the internet in order to do my job so I can pay the bills, yet Cox has made it impossible for me to be able to work from home. Yet they still want their utility bill to be paid on time every month. Well then I want reliable internet so I can make a living!

Don't know why cox have to lie to people about coming to fix your cable saying a technician is coming out today between a certain time it's been 4 hours and now there closed can't talk to no one been waiting 10 days

A company that dominates a business sector or industry can use that position to its advantage at the expense of its customers. A monopoly is a firm that is the sole seller of its product, and where there are no close substitutes.

Anyone that lives in Arizona and has ever tried to use Centurylink or any other internet provider other than Cox knows that the level and quality of service is not even close! As a consumer, it's the worst feeling knowing that you have no other choice than to go with Cox for the internet because none of the other companies are reliable for your remote job or working from home.

I got a huge bill from Cox because of overages (Kids are home for the summer and still doing remote school due to Covid) so we upgraded to the Preferred package, even bought a new modem to handle the new service. I was so upset because I know it doesn't cost Cox more for more data, but I dealt with it. Today I got a usage alert, apparently, none of their internet packages are unlimited. You have to purchase that separately for a whopping $50! I wish I could cancel but there are no other reliable options for me and my kids and I need the internet for work and school so we are screwed. Why do we continue to let these people have a monopoly over us? I thought we believed in a free market in this country? It's so disheartening to know that the people we elect have done NOTHING to change this even though the cable companies always rate among the worst companies in the country. Seems like the Government is allowing this business to operate as a monopoly which should be considered illegal.

I'm currently paying over $90 per month. My internet package is supposed to provide up to 150 Mbps (hardwire) and up to 70 Mbps (wireless). Because I'm wireless and don't have the ability to hardwire, I am getting an internet speed of 21-35 Mbps on average. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year.

Cox is terrible! The bundle program is not what they tell you it will be. We need other companies to provide internet so we can get rid of Cox Cable. They have zero customer service!

I can say this as I had worked for them for 18 years in the field and the offices. cox has never cared about existing customers the whole time I worked for them and even now.

I have 3 accounts with them, two business accounts and a residential one. I kept going over my data cap on 1024 MBps (1 gig) every month as I have 3 networks, 8 cameras and many many smart devices hooked up to my internet. so I added the unlimited data plan for an additional $$$ monthly charge. I get an email saying that I exceeded the cap again even though i pay for unlimited data for past 6 months.

I go online and look at other providers in the area and windstream offers 1 gig fiber to house for data and phone for only $100 plus tax, no contract and guaranteed to not go up in price as long as I am an active customer. I pay almost $200 for 150 MBps plus unlimited data and a phone line for a fax. so I called Cox to see if they have better plans for me with more speed and unlimited data I was not asking to reduce my monthly bill just seeing if they could match the speeds and unlimited data.

now that the customer service reps work from home they are rude as hell, unprofessional as they are not under direct supervision anymore. sure random calls and online status is checked I assume as they use to do this when I worked in the office but they are not monitored like an office setting.

I went through 3 reps online with them just to ask about increase in speeds and such, I even posted screen shots of other providers in area and what they charge and for what speeds. one tech just disconnected the chat when I sent her the screen shot, the next one I got a hold of was just as unhelpful and said I was in wrong department yet their bot system sent me to her so again I get transferred to yet a 3rd rep. now this one was more rude and unpleasant as the others (I never cussed or said anything inappropriate in chat) and I go through my whole spill for a 3rd time and showed her the screen shots and she in so many words told me to go enjoy the new service that she could not help or offer me any deals as I am an existing customer, but had I been a new customer they would had kissed my ass and gave me everything i wanted. (it was the same way the whole time I worked for them and all customers had same complaints)
now you would think they would had worked with me as I have two off site bushiness away from my home and a home office and have services with them but NOPE they don't give a crap about existing customers.

So I told her I was screenshoting the whole conversation and she got real pissy with me and tried to back peddle after being rude and told me to go to someone else.

new install is pending for all 3 accounts I have with windstream and one with AT&T next week so goodby to Cox.

Do not buy from this company. The customer support is terrible. I'm paying for 500 speed and never got past 200, with a max effort attempt. I'm informed that cox is good on every part so it must be something on my end that's causing issues. My bill randomly increased $60, on top of the $90 I already pay. When I tried getting this fixed I was told I should upgrade my plan which costs $40 more a month. The reps are rude and not helpful. Terrible employees and management. I'll say once more. Buy from someone else.

High speed internet sucks. It's always buffering. Cable itself not worth it. I pay too much for this. It'll be nice to get a discount or some sort for the issues. Very disappointed.

Be aware of Cox Communications they will overcharge your monthly bill without telling you you will be hung up on and you'll be transferred to every other department before you're disconnected you'll spend hours upon hours doing this as I have the last straw is when I customer service representative hung up on me today then sent a terrible message to my private cell phone full of slander and cuss words then I thought to myself they have my address as well so now I'm completely distraught and I feel unsafe I filed a complaint with their corporate office but never heard anything back
