I have been having an issue with making online payments on the website. Didn't really care to much but i have noticed a large amount of people online with the same issue. Cox technical support continues to put the blame on our laptops... the only common denominator between all the incidents is the website itself. it would be extremely far stretched to say that all the thousands of customers are to blame. not sure who is running the technical support but they obviously lack common sense or intelligence either way they are unfit to provide customer service to thousands of people.

First, I would like to apologise for taking so long to submit my comments. We had a problem with our DVR box. We also wanted our wiring checked outside as it looked like something had been chewing on it. Your service technician, Mr. Donald Singh, was the gentleman who came to take care of our issues. He said our outside wiring was a mess. Our wiring was low to the ground under the siding. He replaced the wiring that was chewed. Completely re-did our wiring outside. He moved it up higher out of the reach of any rodents getting to it. He replaced our DVR box and checked our other boxes to make sure they were receiving a good signal. He spent about 3 horurs taking care of us. He even called later that evening to make sure everything was working ok. Mr. Singh went above and beyond anything I ever expected. He was pleasant, knowledgable, and hard working. I have been with Cox since 1983. I have always received good customer service but nothing like the service I received from Mr. Singh. He truly is a concioiousient dedicated employee to Cox and his job. His pride and caring showed in his attitude and excellence of his work. He is an example of customer service that all your technicians should strive to be.

Cox is one of the best companies I've dealt with. All the reps are friendly, especially cable tech support. They have really knowledgeable reps. Sometimes there's a long wait, but being a human being and understanding how the world works, and wait times exist everywhere ( even at the McDonalds down the street from my house. I just want a Big Mac) -it's ok. Business isn't controlled by the reps, it's the people calling in going on and on.
Cox is good. I love Cox. ;)

Cox customer services reps are very knowledgable about the products and current campaigns. I dont know why you people think they have some sort of magic wand they wave to make things magically work. They are the ones that have to give you the bad news, so stop taking it out on them, when it is not their fault, also they are pressured into quick call times so its not their fault when you have to wait on hold for 30+ minutes to talk to someone. they are trying their best to get customers off the phone to ghet everyones issues fixed. Yall need to calm down and maybe stopputting so much importance on cable and internet and go out and read a book or something, jeeze.

I just got Cox service today and realized my package would not allow me to watch NICKJR, for my grandson. I called Cox's customer service and was really surprised, because I had read all the negative comments. But I was only on the phone for about 10 minutes and the rep was very helpful. I hope things stay this way. My grandson is very happy, so I'm happy!

Today, Saturday, 8/3/13, Andrew, a support tech, who came out to my apt, did a great job connecting my apartment cable line to the internet... he had to lay in a pile of puke out by the cable junction box in order to get me hooked up... he went well beyond the call of duty, and i am much appreciative...

I called & talked to Dave this morning because my business phone wasn't working which included credit card machine transactions. Dave got it working quickly and was very polite and informative throughout the process. Big kudos to Dave!

We just got Cox Internet and had trouble getting our modem to connect to our router. We called Internet support and spoke with Steve. He was very friendly and within minutes was able to help resolve the problem. We have never had Cox services before, and right now we are very impressed with not only this call, but everything from calling for set-up to installation to problem solving! Way to go Cox! Keep up the good work!

I have had great customer service, support and equipment with Cox. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the website is frustrating, time-consuming and unhelpful. I've gone on to look at my services with the intent of adding on but it was so confusing and uninformative that I gave up.

I'm seriously considering looking into other companies.

1st - pleases me to no end not having to deal w/AT&T as in CA. Cox rocks! One can call & ask anything even if it's stupid. The tech they sent here last night not only throughly repaired connections for cable - he took the time to tell me I had HD cable/TV. I didn't know. Showed me how to use it "since I was paying for it". I didn't know that either - duh. Bless his little heart...

I have always found the Cox call center personell to be outstanding. They do not rush the call. They even stay on the line while you do lengthy reboot operations rather than insisting you call back. Mind this has not happened often and generally only after a severe storm or tornado. Their servce reliability has generally been excellent. They are a pleasure to deal with. The company understands that having competent friendly native english speakers is important for customers satisfaction.

I left an Internet inquiry about my phone being out of service. I was gone for 4 hours and no response upon my return. Now it is 3 hours later and I got this page.

By the way, the 855 number above is no good. I looked up Cox in the 623 area code (where I live) and I got a response immediately.

The problem still hasn't been solved but I will be getting a personal service call if they can't do it remotely. Hector, the rep I spoke to on the phone, was very helpful.

The old TV listings were a little better. I know you updated them to add DVR recording, but, I am usually checking them from a mobile phone, and it's hard to keep expanding the screen and only getting 22 channels at a time. Then, when you go to more channels, it just starts you at the bottom, and you have to scroll back up. Not a big deal, but a little bit inconvenient. Either way, very happy with your service overall.

Loction lower mid central Kansas: I had recently been experiencing a slow down with my internet connection. So, I then decided to search out an online bandwidth monitor. I came accross (Bandwidth.com)the same one that COX uses in the tools area of my COX account. From the above mention website the test starts automatically and shows a download speed of 1.60Mbps(the highest reading I got) from there. I then go into my COX dashboard to locate the bandwidth tester, and get this, I didn't know it would be the same meter tester. So, I started COXes test from there and now its telling mr that my download speed is 3.01Mbps. O' and before I forget to mention this very important part about these two different test, the PING time is identical 26ms. One more thing, it took an ridiculous amount of time for COXes test to start. I suppose this statement pretains more to business ethic's and standard's than support or does it?

i found a friend in the digital age. his name is mauricio dela cruz and he worked on my cable installation on 11/2/11. as his last appointment of the day, he took the time to be kind to a gray-haired old lady who knew little about computers. he explained patiently how he would hook things up for me. he solved my particular problems to my complete satisfaction. he answered my questions without rolling his eyes at my computer illiteracy. please send him every time i need help.

Andy/Tech #1079 arrived promptly, and though this problem had remained unresolved after previous service calls, he diligently and patiently applied proper scientific methods and by all accounts this particular issue was resolved returning, the usually, reliable phone service. His supervisor, Nelson Floyd, is indeed fortunate to have such a thorough, well-trained co-worker as Andy. If there are "attaboy programs", please see that Tech #1079 is included because he's deserving for displaying the caliber of professionalism that is, alas, all too often the exception rather than the rule today.

Now about those ever increasing fees...

As a Las Vegas, Nevada Cox internet, cable, and phone user for only 1 year and a few months, I have to say I am very pleased with the service. I am disabled and work from home and need reliable and fast internet service. Cox delivers. I have sympathy for those few who have not had a good experience with Cox.
I praise God for leading me to choose Cox for my internet and phone service. The installation was quick, professional, and timely.
I am a customer service rep myself and know how difficult customers can be who expect so much more than your job entails. Cox reps are very easy to talk to and very clear and concise about the instructions they give you.
I recommend Cox to anyone in their service area. And speed, my speed test are at least 50% faster than the 8MB I'm paying for. Power Boost is no joke. It's the "real deal" and I couldn't be happier.
Please keep up the wonderful work!!!

My son called Cox for help in setting up my HD cable box .It is the 2nd one in my home . A representative , Mary ID#72381200 , guided him through with very little trouble . I am not up to the directions etc. so, my son did it for me . Mary was so helpful , I feel that she should have an ATTA GIRL in her file . Thank you all very much .Barbara V. Gaynor .

Holy Smokes I must live in the one place where COX does a fantastic job. I've had some minor problems in the past but I've always talked to a competent, polite individual on the other end and had all my problems resolved. When I got my latest bill this month I did go to the local office (Virginia Beach) and asked the person to "rebundle" my package and walked out saving $30.00 a month on my bill. So for me "Thanks COX for a job well done"

We recently left COX to go with DirecTV--biggest mistake of our lives. Sales representatives lied to us. Cox has never lied. Cox has given us excellent service. We're now waiting for DirecTV to call us because of a problem that has occurred three days after installation. Service contract with DirecTV? Cox fixes problems for free. We are so sorry we left COX. The problems we had were fixed rapidly.
