Is the above statement from hotmail or some kind of scam?

One week after an online breach I have received access to both my Gmail & Steam accounts, PayPal is again secured and that required absolutely no effort on my part.

On the other-hand, here is Hotmail, an incompetent company that hires people who have no idea how to read, or even process a single sense of thought.

The response in this image is exactly 1 week after phone calls and support tickets where I explain each and every time that the support staff refuse to accept my account recovery process which was previously accepted with no problem, and that the attacker has set his OWN email address information as the recovery options for the Hotmail account. I have provided MORE than enough evidence to prove that I am the account owner, but regardless; incompetence controls the outcome here.

When you go out of the country it is almost impossible to answer all the stupid questions you ask. Besides whose cell phone works in other countries for you to text your crap.

Impossible to reach contact. impossible questions on questionnaire required for password retrieval. Eventually I was able to get a number to call by contacting a microsoft shop in my state At first it seemed as though I was finally getting somewhere. The lady I reached was very helpful. I was told that my issue would be resolved within 24 hours. I even got an email telling me that there had been activity on my support request. Twenty-four hours later, nothing! I again called the number I had been given. The young man who answered kept on ducking my questions, would not go into specifics, and repeatedly told me not to worry and that all would be well. I was told that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours. Sound familiar! It has now been a total of 30 hours. Without access to my hotmail account I don't know what bills are due, what events I am missing, what appointments I need to get to...the list goes on.

Unbelievable. Never again will I use Microsoft email addresses. What is the story with you people. Every chore is tedious and never ends - i.e leading up to being able to access email accounts. And you have the audacity to ask for credit card information when you advise that you cannot enter your email address. Hotmail and Microsoft are incredibly user unfriendly. Never again. I will stick to gmail or yahoo. Everything task is a nightmare and you just go round in circles. I cannot even access my email as the website will not accept a password - i.e jumbling around like a loose canon.

They have locked me out of my primary account which has my resume in it. When I try to use the steps given t me to get back into my account I seem to go through the same process repeatedly. I am pissed off as hell and am tired of not being able to access MY ACCOUNT! I do not remember all the dates on my resume and therefor need access to my account which they will not grant me.

I am a Canadian and I have been in Tamil Nadu, India since January 19, 2015. Since Jan 20th. I have been trying to get access to my Hotmail account without any success. I appear to going through a loop. My Hotmail account is When I try to login, I provide my other email account for you to send me the code, which I do and your office then sends me a code which I then try to use but it does not work. I do not think that I am doing anything wrong.So, can you please help me get access to my Hotmail account.

can not get into my email and tried several phone numbers for tech support and never gives an option to talk to a person, go through the option and it only hangs up on me. And when i go to the support online option it wants me to sign into my email..... I CAN NOT GET INTO MY EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!! So how does that help me!!!!!!!

Worst email ever. Why why why. I had my (hotmail.com)account for 15+ years. I had another (live.com)that hasn't been subject to this ridiculousness, yet I just tried to sign in and it's starting on the you signed in from a nother location, we need to verify your account etc etc. my contact account was the first account, and I just retrieved code and reset my password twice to access it, but it tells me it is forbidden because of my credentials or whatever. Have had trouble with this since day one of swap over to microsoft - I keep expecting them to sort it out - hotmail was so popular, I don't know why they want to destroy it! (Haha, maybe gmail really owns it lol!)So disappointed and frustrated with this system, and hearing that it is now used as a scam site for overseas hacking - just disgraceful.

It took months for me to access my live.com account. I, finally, accessed it a moment ago. What I need to say is this: The LADY BELOW SAYING THIS IS HOTMAIL SUPPORT NUMBER is a LIE!! I have called this number in the past ( for Gmail) and after a few steps, he asked to access my computer remotely to try to determine the problem. I was cautious. This'Technician" ( from India)started trying to open my Quickbooks account!! I closed out everything, shut down and told him to go to hell and he is a thief! This number, this company is the SAME people! DO NOT CALL THAT TECH SUPPORT NUMBER. PERIOD! They are there to steal your info and financial info. I called today and right away he( again, from India) wanted to access my computer remotely!
I won't repeat what I told him this time. BEWARE!!!

I can't believe it, this is the 4th time trying to get my e-mails back (to recover my Account ) without any result just because some of theese e-mails are very important to me, I gave all my informations to recover my account, one of the questions was to provide the last 5 digits of my credit card , I've never provide any credit card number as a reference not even I carry a credit card when I opened my account with Microsoft (Hotmail) i'ts absurde to treat a member in this manner.

please help. we have been trying for a week to get into my email account but with no luck. there are two id verifications, the first being another email, which is fine and the second is a phone number but the code is not going to the phone ................ result being we are unable to access my email account

Pointless uz have just lost a 10+ year valued customer might as well delete i dont even want the account n e more due to the ridiculous nature of your security policies as well as trting to contact you via phone from australia. Goodbye gmail here i come......

Your customer service support is unreliable. I closed my old email address almost six months ago. Today everyone in my contacts got an email for the inactive account. I contacted your customer service department and all they could tell me is that they see the account as inactive and in order for me to get more information on how an inactive email address could be sending out emails six months after it had been cancelled I need to visit a website. SMH.....

I've had hotmail for as long as I can remember and today I've finally had it. All I want to do is change some security info and delete an old account I never use anymore, but I can't even access my own damn info without having to send a million verification codes out [to alternate email accounts that I no longer have anymore]. Very very frustrating, not using this service again.

Hotmail really sucks!! I can not access my email address. My recommendation to anyone getting a new email address, go

Im changing my email account and will never use hotmail again. Extremely rude and the worst customer service ever from anyone. They really ought to be ashamed. None of my friends use hotmail and now i know why. Absolutely disgusting, cannot speak low enough about them. And this comment is coming from someone who never complains, so what does that say?

hi hotmail persons i need my email fixed i cant fix my phone with out it ... my phone was hacked into & i setup my new phone with my fabrucker@hotmail. acc. tryed but yall said i dont give enough info. i have a app on my phone that is called lookout. well it did the job & stopped the hacker but also locked out my phone i hav anouther email [email protected] please help me fix this or i will hav to wipe my phone & not catch the butthead who did this !!! thank u so much my # is 8176552484 when i can get it turned back on.. thanks so much felicia brucker
