I simply wanted to change my password because of a security issue and was unable to do so. I spoke to the manager who refused to help me or give her last name when I asked to speak to her supervisor. What a mess!!

i am not commenting, i want to complain, concerning the service i have been receiving from hotmail,it is unacceptable for no good reason, i've been using hotmail for years now without any problems, suddenly i cant access and change password on my account, but i still receive email, what a stupid irritating system u have implemented, if u don't want me as a client anymore, cancel my account, there is plenty companies out there, u not the only one. at the sametime you cant even help your client, what a bad service provider

I have had a Microsoft Hotmail email account for at least 10 years. Recently I went to sign in and was blocked from access my email account. To contact Customer service I was forced to create a new email account and have been repeatedly asked to fill out a form to try and gain access to my original email account. Although I have filled out the form repeatedly I am still blocked from access my original email account.

The account is my full name, first then last name. A google search show that I am the only person in the search results with my name.

Although I have repeatedly filled out their form to prove I am the owner of the account I am still being denied access. Also even though I am able to prove who I am with a scanned copy of my drivers lic. that is not good enough for Microsoft.

Clearly Microsoft has become untrustworthy and I will certainly be using a different email provider in the future. This is going to involve switching my email account information with my bank, credit cards, Netflix, eBay, PayPal, and many other online service providers.

Seriously Microsoft you can't even provide proper support for my email how could you expect me or anyone else to trust your ability to manage cloud computing.

I am very angry that I can no longer use my hotmail address because somebody created a security program that says I dont exist and now I need my hotmail address for work so because I no longer exist I am no longer going to be able to work I just want to be able to use my old account.

Recovery code never gets sent stuck in an endless loop of trying to verify an email I've had for 10 years and obviously I can't completely fill in the recovery questions because I'm not able to even access my account. Basically, if you never want to be locked out of your emails, don't use hotmail. Not to mention their customer support could not be more useless.

Must be fairly basic people that decide to send a security code to your alternate email address when your logging in from a different location. Try to log into the alternate account to recover the code and sure enough, i cant log in and i need an alternate email address. Again.
But thats ok all i need to do to prove it really is me is to provide subjects of my recent emails...HOW WOULD I KNOW IVE BEEN LOCKED OUT FOR 2 MONTHS!!!!

hotmail is really starting to get on my nerves every time i try to sign in my password doesn't work yet it's working on my office computer. if i request a password varification it tells me to make a new password which i don't want to do. i want to use the password i origianally put in there and they won't let you use it when you change it. Why can't hotmail be like other company's and send you the password over your phone or other email accounts you have given them with a verification of some type.

Your ads are ever changing and causing my computer to always be searching for your ads. It slows down everything on my computer if I have Hotmail minimalized in the upper corner. No other e-mail providers do this .

I am on holiday in Greece and have been blocked from my Hotmail account I have been unable to access important emails for the last 13 days and as Im not going home for another two weeks it is very awkward. Ive been unable to send in work for two weeks and so have lost two weeks income.I have contacted Microsoft every day and answered security questions only to be told I am not giving them enough info. I am very angry and am disgusted in the way Im being treated

I do not like this latest change to my hotmail/outlook account. It is so much slower than before, all this starting, almost there, where as before it was just there and ready to go. Then when I want to go down the left hand column and tick the delete boxes they don't seem to be there and when eventually they do show up and I try to delete something it often opens it in stead. The page seems to go blank from time to time and now it has mixed up and put together on the same line a letter from my daughter and a letter from a friend and when I clicked on it it even had a letter from my ex son in law, and I don't know how to separate them. I just hope that they can't all read what I've replied to all these emails, as I really don't want my daughter reading what I wrote to my ex son in law. I see that I'm not the only one that is complaining. I hate it.

Dear MSN. I also have been a client/user of Hotmail since 2000 and chose it specifically over aol and yahoo for its data configuration. Yes, I am a techie and therefore understand the headaches with migration issues, but after three months of dealing with your new security protocols and new UNUSER friendly design setup ONCE YOU DO GET IN AND FOR A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, I lost my patience. And now after being essentially hung up on by a shat support tech who I believe was not able to solve my issue, relies that you really don't care your Hotmail clients network/exchange security updating issues. If you did YOU WOULD HAVE FIXED THIS A LONG TIME AGO. What is the really irony is that if you want to post this issue with MSN You have to sign up for a temporary account just to have access to support and trouble shooting to the account your security protocols have blocked me from in the first place. As a Tech Support Specialist I would have to say I am done. Why even take the time to properly close my account. Se La Vie

Not really sure why they have changed it but the designers should be. Going to give it a chance just because any new system has faults, but its very poor trying to access via mobile phone seems to be very slow with no obvious "send message" option bit of a no no there. I,ve noticed with other sites that change customer services seem to completetly ignore info given free of charge by there customers/users as in CUSTOMERS/USERS! Time will tell sitting on the fence at mo but slipping towards the side with the big pile of dog poo Help!!

I have been a user of Hotmail for over 15 years. Your recent upgrade to Outlook is by far the worst. I really do not like it at all. It is slow and causes some major challenges to use on my laptop, cell and tablet.

3 or more years later still carnt get into my hotmail acount nightmare filld in all the forms tryd new eamails to get code to acsess hotmail but all faild told i couldnt log in as sumwan was downloading my details after that i couldnt log in ever 4 my safety as sumwan been using my eamail that was over 3 years ago and still i carnt acsess it havent i any right as a human being my privet stuf and i am blokd

u hotmail staf wont now me well am back u wont let me into my hotmail no mater wat proof i give on hwo i am my facebook got shut down 2 fore my safety i have a problem remembering eamails so i dont have 1 but i never 4got my hotmail i must ov loved it coss i carnt 4get it i have privet things in my mail ext that need delating one night i logd in and i cudnt log in coss sumwan was logd in and downloading all my imformation after that i was told it was unsafe to log in coss sum unown person was logd on to my eamail well am back i want my eamail address back u logd on to my phone and facebook everyting i do u want to now am guna tell the papers if u dont let me back love kate pasword chilldren

Whilst my wife was in the middle of using Hotmail, it suddenly prompted to enter account password. as she could not remember it, that was the start of troubles. Robot checking entry codes NEVER matched what was on the screen when entered, even though they clearly did. Recovery form submitted, answered questions as best we can, but automated checking said not enough info (the security question and 3 subject lines from emails should have been sufficient). Still waiting, no one wants to help, Also have now blocked daughters Hotmail account as this is linked as recovery to this one as she tried to access it from overseas and was seen as someone else trying to get in. She has been waiting for over 2 days to try and get back in. Gmail here we come.

I have used hotmail for several years and have a professional and personal account with them. went to change one password and it changed for the wrong account and I can no longer access either. Over the years it has become increasingly difficult to use and I am beyond frustrated. I have a school account that uses gmail and I will be switching over. Do not sign up for an account with hotmail.

Your new Hotmail iteration is an abomination. It's difficult to navigate, and many times, simply does not carry out the expressed intention of the user. Very badly designed and executed. Sending e-mails is one weird experience. It's all so off-putting, I now avoid using Hotmail! Now there's a great product! What was wrong with the previous version -- you know, the one operative 2 weeks ago? Get a grip, do all your customers a favor, dump this iteration and go back to the previous one. It worked well and reliably. And give this latest version's programmers something else to do - like look for a new job.

I am so frustrated with Hotmail.com customer support. There is no real person to talk with on the phone. I have escalated on their chat support and sent 6 forms to verify my email account to get access after someone from another country tried to access my account. This has to be the worst customer service
I have ever received. To no fault on my part. I have lost access to my Hotmail account. Hotmail.com locked my account. I will no longer use any products on MSN or access their sites for news or information in the future. Thanks for their ridicules security system that makes it impossible to speak to anyone on the phone and resolve your issue - poor customer service.

My hotmail email is not opening for the last four days (since 11.05.2015). Every time I open the email, I receive a message that "It seems some one else is using your email, we wish to verify that its you and only you". After going through verification process for at least seven times by providing the security code sent by Microsoft on my alternate email ID registered with them and also providing the code received on mobile phone, the position remains the same. The customer service agent and the escalation desk have done nothing. The response is so pathetic that I am thinking of not asking them to open my email and leave the important messages and go for some other email ID with some other email provider.

Why do you keep signing me out of my account, at least once a day, without giving me the chance to save the email I am writing into drafts? I have complained about this before but have had no reply.I do not wish to be 'signed out' 'for my own protection'. If you have to do this then please make sure the email I am writing is saved so that I do not have to lose work every single day!

It's very slow and very bad service i send a code on my number to open my account but it has taken 1 hour even i also verify it by other method of email. it seems so difficult and i damn sure about my password but i was facing problem in log in. Damn disagree with hotmail.com

Hotmail is absolute rubbish. I am forever being asked for codes, before I get into my account. I now have to wait one month before I can read my e.mails??? Do they seriously think that is going to happen. What is in effect going to happen is that I will wait one month before I shut my account down and move to a different e.mail provider.

They have finally got "search" going, but that literally took years.

Hotmail is junk. Never again.
