Buena the store manager in the Desert Hot Springs Radio Shack has the absolutely worst attitude in my 20 year history shopping with this store.

I was treated so bad I just left the store without buying anything. The lack of customer service was repulsive. This representative of Radio Shack is spreading the word that Radio Shack does not want anymore of our business.

I purchased some items and when I went to return them 5 days later I was told they cannot be returned. These items are new, package never opened. They claim they changed their return policy recently. I read their return policy and my items ca be returned for a refund. I was told I need to speak to a manager who is not available till Monday.

I am totally upset with these people and never again will I shop at this company, I urge everyobe to abstain from doing their shopping at Radio Shack.

I have went to the store in Lemoore California I had not been there for a while because the other people were no longer there and the new employees were just not as friendly or helpful but this time when I went in a young woman her name I think is Jennifer long dark hair young woman she gave a smile hello may I help you she was very knowledgeable courteous and extremely well-mannered she took the time to help me solve the issue and to receive the items that I needed and I'd like to thank whoever hired her that was the smartest thing like that maybe their store will get more customers

I went to get a hi 8 cassette.I was given one that "should" fit. I went to return the cassette and was told they could not take it back because it was on clearance. I did not see any signs indicating this and was not told. This store was in Cheyenne Wy.

I have just called Radio Shack Address: . The phone was answered by a woman who sounded irate as soon as she answered the phone. I was surprised since I'm always treated courteously by everyone during my stay in Washington DC. I asked if the store stocked a certain item. She said it did not but I let her know that I had seen this product on the webpage. She was so rude and abrupt with me and said she was alone at the store this was at 11:00am so I told her not to worry that I would look for it at Radio Shack store in Chinatown, I had hardly finished saying that she hung up the phone.

TO: Radio Shack

Subject: Terrible Customer Services at the Santa Maria Store.

I went to the Radio Shack store, to get a replacement Battery for my Vtech (T2326) cordless phone. When enter the store, the sale person was talking to male person, who wasn't a customer. I ask her for help, plus I show her the old battery unit. Without checking out the model or replacement battery information, she pulls out a battery replacement and said this it. I paid for part and left the store. She went out the store and continue to talked to the same male person. While still in my vehicle I check the replacement battery and saw it was too big and the rating was wrong (3.6v 300 Ah). I return to the store and told the sale person about the situation with battery. She Replied, the rating is ok, but finally realized the replacement battery was too big. I finally got the correct battery, but I had to show her the correct model number of my Vtech cordless phone. Also, the price of the unit was different too. Further, with her terrible service, I could have gone home, found out it was the wrong part and drove back to store. This would have happened if I didn't check the replacement part. Also, when I left the store again, she went back to talk to the male person.

I am writing this subject, in order to correct the sale person behavior and show her the right way to help person in the radio shack store.

went to the Lynnwood wa. radio shack to get speaker wire. unfortunately, left my glasses at home. Verizon person was very welcoming and turned me over to the r/s person. she showed me where all the wire was and said I could use any of it. I asked her about different gauges and she knew only that the lower the gauge, the thicker the wire (no help). I went to the counter a waited while she was doing an inventory in the front of the store. I was the only customer in the store. I had to go get her to pay for my wire. I verified that I had the right product (remember no glasses) and she said it would work. I got home, unwrapped my purchase and discovered that I had a spool of hookup wire. not good. I took my purchase back to the same store. different employee. I got the correct wire and when I exchanged it, the clerk said that it looked like I had used some of the original product. she was very surly and made me feel like some kind of criminal of a $10.99 spool of wire. very demeaning and embarrassing and you can imagine how pissed off I was. again, I was the only customer in the store so it wasn't like she was stressed out being busy. not sure I will ever do business with you again.

Took back an item for return in the original package and with the receipt and had zero issues. The assistant was nice and courteous, didn't ask any questions other than if the item was defective or not and gave me a full refund. It was getting lose to the thirty days but went as smooth as clockwork. It's nice when things go the way they're suppose to.

Posted by Spokane Valley WA (former) long-

The wild and obnoxious store manager demanded I leave his store or he would call the policy. Looks like this is what Radio Shack trains employees to do instead of refunding products. Bought $9.99 power cord on 4-22-16 at Spokane Valley store, 13516 E Sprague. Brought the cord back unused and in original packaging, and with receipt, to return it on 4-28-16. Charles - store manager- said there would be a 10% restocking fee. No problem. He asked for my name address and phone number. I politely said I would provide name and address but not phone number. He argued about it and would not continue without my phone number. I politely worked to find a way to let him save face but not give my actual phone number and after several attempts he took the number I gave. He had become very emotional and was shaking. He said "I don't know why it's such a big deal". I said "It's obviously a big deal because I'm clearly resisting giving my phone number". Then he became animated and pushed the cord down the counter and said he was not going to give me a refund. Then he said "good luck returning it somewhere else"! Then he started yelling at me telling me I was being rude. (They must be trained to do this. I found many other complaints on this board where Radio Shack employees accused the customer of being rude). Then he demanded that I leave his store. He yelled "get out of my store!" I asked him if he was refusing to comply with his own company's return policy. He again demanded that I leave his store and threatened to call the police. Then the other two employees (seems like overkill - they never seem to have other customers when I am there) stepped up and started demanding that I leave. It was very insulting. I was being perfectly calm, kept my voice low, used no bad language or disparaging remarks. But Charles the store manager was loud and obnoxious and rude, all the while accusing me of being rude and demanding I leave the store. Are you kidding me? A $10 return. With a receipt. And you throw a long-time paying customer out of the store? Radio Shack is going to take it in the shorts on social media over this experience.

I came to a Radio Shack where I live at 6:30 pm needing a couple of things , I just left my dr office with a pinched nerve therefore I don't want to be driving all around in and out of my car, the doors were locked and a note saying they will be back at 7:00, I called the # provided on google and Sprint answered and said the person working is at lunch! I have never heard of a store closing for the employee to go to lunch, I am very disappointed in this, bad customer service, I will go elsewhere from now on. Any comment back could be sent to me Thank you!

On March 30, 2016 I bought the Wi-Fi dongle from a Radio Shack store in Sanitago de Surco, Lima, Peru. 7 days after later it died, the computer reads the card, but it will not send or receive data. In other words it is not working. Now, I took the product back to the store in which I bought it, and they are telling me that for an exchange I have to return it unopened in the original package within 7 days. That is fine if you don't use it, but I have used the product and it dies on the same day the warranty ends, seems extreme. So what is the exchange for this faulty piece of equipment to my understanding I don't get one cause I have opened it and used it for 7 days, actually it wasn't even a full 7 days, I used it only for 5 days, cause 2 days I was not home. Now who want to buy a new WiFi card every 7 days? That doesn't give me high hopes for the products that they are selling in the stores or for the franchises outside of the Peru, let alone North America. Now they are changing there name to Coolbox, but still sell Radio Shack products.I never had a problems with Radio Shack in the past and have been shopping there for years. My wife refuses to buy anything from there. Well, I think that is the last time will be buy anything there.

I've bought one of radio shacks rope 6 ft chargers and they break every other week this is my seventh charger and it's honestly like radio shack is doing this to scam me because I end up having to pay for the warranty again every time it breaks or they'll raise the price considerably.

I needed an exchange of "AA" HR rechargeable batteries in the green package that are defect and did not fit in any of the devices that I own. eg: Four Original Mag flashlights, TV remotes, three battery powered Black and Decker screw drivers...etc: I brought the devices to show her my dilemma. Instead of helping me figure out what the problem was, she told me to take the damn batteries and get out. I could have over looked a pair of them, but I purchased 16 batteries in all which was $80.00 plus tax. This woman who is named "Heather" should be investigated not only for her terrible customer service, but also for her use of fowl language. This all happened in store #4490 in Terre Haute,Indiana where I have been a customer for 18 years. Now I have to purchase the 16 rechargeable batteries from another source, and take the loss of my $80.00 plus. If she is an example of the services that Radio Shack has to offer these days, I will not allow my company employees who rely on this store for items that cannot be purchased anywhere else since the closing of the other two stores in my area. Please contact this woman who I believe is the manager and had her other employees and customers see her behave in this manner. Thank You.

I purchased a poorly designed pair of "sport" cordless headphones. Any slight movement causes them to fall off. I brought them back to the store without a receipt. I gave the manager my debit -used for the purchase- and he told me (11 days later) that he couldn't find any record of the purchase. THIS WAS A COMPLETE LIE . He would not allow an exchange or a refund. HE WAS A COMPLETE ASS ABOUT THE WHOLE THING. I called my bank and they found the purchase in about 60 seconds. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH MY VISA CO. ---I WILL WITHOUT QUESTION GET A REFUND. IWILL DROP THE LOUSY DEVICE OFF AT THE STORE. AFTER I RECIEVE MY REFUND I WILL NEVER ENTER A RADIO SHACK STORE AGAIN.

I purchased a police scanner from your store at 3337 secor rd toledo ohio 43606 on 2/16/16.($428.00 total in cash). I went back on 2/17/16 at 10am to purchase a cable needed to program the radio with a computer. The store did not have the cable in stock & would have to order it. I elected to return the police scanner & get my money back but the clerk said i could not get my cash back because there was not enough money in the till to do so.He said to come back later in the evening maybe he would have enough money in the till. I did not want to drive all the way back to the store so he offered to send me a check for the amount which would take at least a week which i accepted. This is a poor way to do business & i can see why radio shack is going out of business.(poor management)
