Product in question: iPhone 6S Plus

If you are not going to unlock this phone for FREE don't bother responding, because I'll need the time to write another review rather than explain it all over again and have the person say $200 or 12 Months of service LMAO. Like I would do that again.

I had been with Straight Talk for around 4-5 years. The service was not that great and it was more of a price thing. We had 4 lines with them and over the years paid them thousands of dollars. We purchased a few phones over the years and they were a decent price. But a word to whoever is listening DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT switch to a new phone without making them unlock it or if you plan on leaving them MAKE THEM UNLOCK IT A FEW DAYS BEFORE! If you have a phone that was on there network and it hasn't had service for a while they will want $200 to unlock it or they will want you to signup again for 12 months and if you argue with them long enough you may get them down to two months. My phone I had was a good working iPhone 6S Plus not a great phone but I liked it better than the droid I was using. I filed a complaint with the BBB and it got their attention and they call and send emails wanting to resolve it. When I call them all they say is we can't unlock this unless you pay us. I say BS I bought and paid for that phone and what gives you the right to hold it for ransom? I hope this information helps someone in the future.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure if you upgrade a phone to have them unlock your old one or they will want $200 if you try to do it later.

I have been with straight talk for 5 years. I use to worked with phones quite frequently. So I knew at the time they were better than most. However that is just not true. There customer service is several times worse than it use to be. They don't let you know anymore when you are low on service. Their system regularly doesn't account for putting service on your device. And then stops your service. Which if I recall correctly. If you don't have a whole 6 months of perfectly having service you can't take your phone to another service provider. Their cs bot is terrible. It won't take you to an agent when you ask. Instead it hangs up on you. Which is wonderful. It doesn't have service in areas it use to. It has just consistently gotten worse.

I have been a straight talk customer for years and never had any problem with straight talk until the past couple years customer service has went to crap they will not allow you to speak to us supervisor they cannot understand anything you're saying today I called because my phone is losing service for no reason and it'll be off for hours at a time I called to speak to someone who had absolutely no clue what he was doing I told him that this is a business phone and that I need to make sure that this does not happen again he cannot help me I asked to speak to a supervisor he would not let me speak to a supervisor and ask why and he told me he couldn't tell me that either it was against policy so if that is their policy I will be moving to another phone provider absolutely terrible customer service zero Stars highly recommended to stay away from straight talk

I've had issues today for over 3 hours with 4 different rude techs who claim to not have a supervisor to contact who still after all the times and many calls issue is nit fixed also one of your techs cut service off of my husband's phone because I wouldn't hang up with k8ds screaming and yelling in the background this is unacceptable I have 6 phon3s through you guys and usually buy 6 month plans for all and they are all due for n e w plans the 27 th of this month

Bought a 45 dollar plan on 4/14/23 previous card wouldn't expire until 4/16/23 went ahead and put new card on because we went camping and wanted to use Hotspot with my firestick, took what Hotspot I had left and didn't give me my 5 gigs I paid for on new card . Contacted straight talk, kept me on the phone for almost two hours, guess what, still no Hotspot,very paissed off over this, done the same thing to my son on a 60 dollar plan. Will be going with total talk get more Hotspot cheaper!

3 weeks we ago we started experiencing problems with our straight talk service it kept dropping calls and we were unable to make or recieve calls .we constantly had to turn the phone on and off to get it to work .I called the customer support team who although polite and as helpful as they could be despite the horrible challenge of talking to an representative whose English was difficult to understand .various attempts to " fix " the problem were made the phone would work for one hour then we were back to square one again unable to make or recieve calls . My partner is a disabled veteran so a phone is essential for him to be able to contact doctors etc and to contact me whilst I am at work .we have given up on straight talk despite being with them for 15 years and will be switching to another carrier .A side note other people in our area have been experiencing the same issues with their straight talk service .

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have had Straighttalk for years for our home phone, but the last few months the service has been terrible. Every time someone tries to call us, we can't hear them because of a loud noise that sounds like a fax machine, so they have to hang up and try again. I have spent at least the last month trying to get our phone transferred to another carrier, and Straighttalk refuses to release our number. Every time that I call, I get the same poor excuse. You'll be taking your chances if you choose this company.

Straight talk is poor service, and I wouldn't recommend the service to anyone. DO NOT DO AUTO REPAY!!! They take it out of checking account, and it's hard to cancel. I had to call my bank and stop payments on them.

I have been trying to activate my phone for a week now they stole my phone card and then want even tell where it went and I went and bought a new phone and still can't get it activated they have lied to me over and over again and I have been on the phone with them 25 hours this week and have done nothing but wast my time and money will be taken my whole family off as soon as I can and going to tell all my friends what u have done to me and my family

Plans are good, customer service is trash. The hoops you have to jump through in order to transfer a phone number is beyond me. You can't understand the people who answer nor do they help assist as I asked to confirm my phone number since there's a language barrier. She was uncooperative and said security reasons won't allow it. The fact that I couldn't pull the sms text because the old phone was broken, the other way was to provide phone numbers I text or call. Well I'm sorry but I don't memorize telephone numbers and with the old phone not turning on I can't locate those. There was no other way other than setting up a new phone number since I couldn't provide that information. Not like they can't look and just have me provide the credit card information that I pay monthly on. Definitely switching when this plan is up!

I just canceled our service and I would advise anyone to do the same. They have NO ONE that speaks English, they canceled our service for two weeks for no reason, I requested that someone come to my home to fix the problem and was told that they had no one that does service calls and I found that the only thing they do is troubleshoot. I asked for a Manager and was told that there were none and they weren't able to transfer my call. I have a disabled husband and need a phone that I can depend on and one that works 24/7 and Straight Talk is not by any means the one. Today, I rec'd a text that they were going to deduct a monthy payment.

I tried to transfer my phone to tracfone from straight talk. The tranfer went fine, took about 20 minutes... well after finding out trackfone could not help me, I had to tranfer back to straight talk.. 5 hours later and 6 different phone calls I am still waiting for it to be transferred back to straightalk. They also made me purchase a new plan even though I had service left on the plan I had when I switched to tracfone. Regardless, I ask a specific representative if I could speak to her supervisor and she said no, six or seven separate times I asked to speak to a supervisor she told me no. I then gave into her wished bought a new plan and then was told that I needed to be more courteous when giving her the number or she wouldn't submit it. What a b****, I've never been treated so terribly by a customer service representative. Her worker if is 510985 her name was Jasmyn. She needs to be fired.

StraightTalk has straight up gone to crap!! I used to have a lot of faith with them as I've been with them for years, but I recently bought a new unlocked iphone14 to use through them and I was literally on the phone for like 8 hours with multiple diffweren't people and none of them ever fixed my issue and each person gave me a different reason why it didn't work. 2 of the people actually told me they had it fixed and that service was just delayed and so they said in 20-30 mins it will be working and they got off the phone with me. Both times the number never got transferred. I asked 3 different specialists to talk to a supervisor and each told me they couldn't let me speak to a supervisor because they were trying to handle my problem. They also told me they were going to give me a months free of service for all of the inconvenience and I wake up this morning and have no service. So instead of giving me a month of free service they actually took 5 days off of the service that I had already paid for. They eventually gave those 5 days back to me after about 35 more minutes of talking to them, but they did not give me the free month they promised. They said it would be good until 4/30/23 and instead I guess they entered in 3/30/23 and actually took days from me until I called and got them back. Anyway, I'm leaving now to go find a new service!! Again, Straighten has gone to CRAP!! At the very least they should give U the option of a supervisor especially after being on the phone with them for a total of more than 8 hours.

Ordered a phone from straight talk first week of Jan. 2023. Never received it. Called several times thru the middle of March. Was told to keep waiting. Finally. Today was told to ask my bank for the refund. Straight talk is horrible.

When I received my phone from you all, it was not operable. Your techs decided it was defective . I had to send it back. I asked for a return label 2 times from you. I still have the emails that say I can just send it back to the address provided. I did thru USPS. The tracking number 9500 1112 3886 3017 3141 48. It showed the phone was received by you on Jan. 19th. After jumping thru hoops I finally spoke with someone who I thought handled it and told me my replacement phone would arrive in 5-7 days. No phone. Called again....phone will definitely be sent out, I was told this by the warehouse people. No phone. I was provided a tracking number from you all that is not traceable. Someone on your end found the tracking and said phone was delivered Jan. 9th. How could that be when you did not get my return phone until the 19th??? I have spoke with your associates so many times. I have done nothing wrong. This is ridiculous. You all have made me jump thru hoops and spend so much time chatting and speaking with you all.
Every time I call I have to tell the whole story over again. Why? This is not my problem, it is yours!
A manager was supposed to call me at 1:00 today....no call.
This is terrible customer service, I am 55 years old and have never seen anything like it.

Update: Got a call back, twice. Both in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish.

Spoke with an associate and was told AGAIN I would receive my phone that Friday.....no phone has arrived yet.


As of today 03/06/2023

This is unacceptable and very very poor customer service. I would think you would want happy customers. Do I need to keep fighting for something I need and paid for already?

This service stinks! Your representatives don't speak English and cannot say anything other than I do apologize and I understand. They do not listen. The information provided is different with each representative and when you ask for a supervisor they just say we are trained to handle this and refuse to send you to the supervisor. They just tell you to call back and you have already been on hold for over an hour. If they offer to call back they never do! I am very glad I switched services.

I have been without phone service for three days now. Initially, I waited for three hours to talk to customer service and then transferred to corporate to wait for another hour on hold. When I finally did talk to someone, she was very rude and impatient with me. I was told there is a two hour turn around time and to restart my phone. Call back at 8am if issues were not resolved. Still no service the next morning, so I called back. Same response and was told in two hours they were going to call me (how? I have zero service?!). Needless to say, I never received a call. Called back told they were prioritizing my issue and to periodically restart my phone. This morning, still no service, asked me to reset my network settings (which I had already done!) and that they would call me back at 2:30. Still no call. This is absolutely ridiculous!

Straight Talk customer service is horrendous. Was on the phone on hold for 1 hour. Called back after picking up my kid from school and put on hold for another 45 minutes. At this point I gave up. So I have a new Straight Talk phone and can't get a technical issue resolved so I can use phone. Still using old phone!

Been with start all 4 yrs, no matter the issue, you will experience hours over days being played for a boob as they repeat nonsense, then start over again and again and again. When you read these complaints and look at the running dates of the WORST most insulting treatment they seem to openly enjoy heaping on custs, it becomes very clear to see the company must actually train these boobs to purposely be the arrogant pricks they truly are. Whatever the issue, it'll be your fault and it'll def cost you without resolving the prob until they refuse to continue the plan without refund while you're holding a brand new useless phone. Think they're run by DEEP STATE. Not about business and satisfy cust, focus on demeaning, humiliating, laughing, insulting you actually daring you to "Do something about it". They're wise-ass thugs who seem to have auto-erotic episodes while making you subservient to their deviant behaviors. They're doing what they're paid to do. It's a sick, sick moronic corp ! If you value good prompt service and being treated respectfully by prof ppl StraighTalk is NOT the place you wanna be as it's they will NOT talk Straight. Just a bunch of unprofessional Jr Highschoolers gettin their rocks off at your expense. No accident, checkout the nature of complaints as the days, weeks, months and years roll by . . . No way the pridefull geniousrs running that "Corp" Don't know it's "Cust Serv" populated by arrogant "Animal House" dropouts and losers. You get more than what you pay for if you enjoy paying (or having being stolen in lieu of receiving devices) being abused.

Do not get an iPhone 14. All of the Asians I have talked to know nothing about the esims. They have screwed me over and I am sick of them. They tell you they will call you back it's a lie. The chat sucks they need to hire Americans because their not understand how to hook up American phones.
