When I arrived at the property I rented it was not as described and couldn't accommodate my family. The property owner offered a refund and I ended up looking for a hotel at the last minute. Property owner calls me ans tells me I have to cancel the reservation, he can't do it. I tried to contact trip advisor and a voice recording tells me I will find solutions on their website. I finally get a number where I can reach an actual human being but I get another recording saying I need to call during business hours. Hotels are open 24/7 but this company doesn't have customer service 24/7? Finally I called the following day and I'm told it is too late to cancel and they release the money to the owner. So it is not their problem anymore and I need to resolve it by talking to the property owner.
It was too late? just on the first morning, and because Tripadvisor customer service was not open? Terrible site I won't book anything else with them

I rent out my holiday home through Tripadvisor and with that provide them with over 1.000 dollars per year in commissions. Things generally run very well with them, a few years ago I had an issue and could solve it easily by phone. Today I have a really complicated thing to resolve, a booking that was partly paid, then canceled, now the customer wants to re-instate the booking. The kind of weird issue that you cannot solve on the website or with help of the FAQ´s. I am writing this while I am on hold for over an hour. To get on hold I had to lie (through pushing buttons) about what I am calling for, because I learned that otherwise there is no way I can get a live person on the phone. So I am happy that after 10 minutes I got in some sort of line "on hold" though the waiting music is slowly getting on my nerves and I have heard the apology about it taking a lot of time now some 40 times. It already costed me a considerable amount of money (I´m calling from overseas) but I am not going to hang up now. I will get back later here to tell how it ended.....

I received an e-mail thanking me for my recent review that will soon be published.I have no idea if the review is good or bad. I could not pull up a copy of the review. The problem is that I did not write the review and have never even been in the state where the property is located. There is no easy way to contact Trip Advisor to alert them that I did not review the property! There is no way to reach a real person by phone.The only way I found after an hour going through the "help site" was to delete "my review" which of course was not a review I wrote. I wonder how someone was able to submit a review under my name! I will never submit another review or believe in the integrity of any reviews I read. If someone from Trip Advisor actually reads this please feel free to contact me at the e-mail address you have for me. While I can think of better ways to spend my time I will not hesitate to contact the BBB, Consumer Affairs agencies and the state AG if reviews I did not write appear under my initials.Its not fair to the hotel operators or the readers if the review is suspect.

I filled out the credit card information to reserve a room and never received confirmation that you made the reservation. I called the B&B, they had no record of reservation. I went on line to credit card and they have no charge made within the last hour for the reservation. I called your phone numbers and was referred to online websites for help. I am not a member of TripAdvisor and therefore have no account or profile and no way of looking at any history of reservations. I cannot make a reservation until I know if you did make the reservation and charged it. This is very difficult and I will never use Trip Advisor again to make a reservation. Please let me know if you charge my account or made a reservation in my name. Nancy Mattson

My property was set up WITHOUT by permission from a inquiry call!!! I keep getting email to reset my password and have contacted TripAdvisor by phone and was assured that the listing was delete, IT's 3 MONTHS NOW!!! This is harassment!

Misrepresentation under the Payment protection plan will not get your money back only endless meaningless correspondance. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. Tripadvisor have grown too fast and can not control the load.

Today I got an email from an individual who says they paid for a 1-wk condo rental. This is the first time I heard of it. I have no record of their contact in the history of contacts. Although it shows on reservations that they paid in full. I cancelled my account with Flip Key on April 2nd. They took payment on the 7th. I never got notice of this.
Now neither the payee nor I can get in touch with anyone. HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE - ALSO SEEMS TO BORDERS ON ILLEGAL.

You cancelled my very expensive vacation rental. I called the business owners the day before you were due to run the second payment to give them a new cc to process because there was simply no way to contact you. FOR YOUR EXORBITANT FEE AMOUNT OF $400 FOR BOOKING THIS RESERVATION - YOU SHOULD HAVE A PERSON ANSWERING THE PHONES 24/7. THIS CAUSED ME SO MUCH ANXIETY TO LOSE A DEPOSIT OF ALMOST $2k BECAUSE YOU CANNOT BE REACHED.

Booked a hotel that said had a pool,restraunt and bar.every thing we wanted for a get away. We arrive,no restaurant no pool etc.the room was musty and offered a ice bucket no cups,and and air-conditioned room that barely worked either high or nothing. Called to see if I could find another hotel and call dropped and got a call back saying nothing they could do even when they say they offer theses amenities on there site! New use them again

Absolutely HATE tripadvisor...they do not have a "live" person but the same old recording telling you to go to a website...WHERE IT IS USELESS...they do not have help...Since Flipkey is now Tripadvisor...it is very confusing at times, esp. when FK was just a mess all around...And the rates ....They NEVER get it right...IF the included a cleaning fee then it gets worse because I am left with even lress money...I cannot find out anything on how the fees are taken...so I am not going to even bother...They are not worth it...so I now have to tell the would be client...that I am renting via another source and to not send any money to these idiots.
This company is VERY user unfriendly...Too many other places to list my property...as well as the free CL..

This is bad, Tripadvisor did charge me in US dollars for a holiday rental I booked from Australia for Indonesia. Never knew that so be careful and go to AIR B&B The same rental was on air B&B which does charge in $A, saves big dollars. Worst is TA has no telephone contact here in Sydney, Tripadvisor you suck!!

This is my 4th times for email writing to you. Very Sorry for the interruption and trouble. Now I really don't know who I can turn to for the solution on this problem.



It's been 2-3 days frustration and sleeplessness for me. My property is no-show on tripadvisor. and all my excellent reviews with all 5 green-star have been deleted which is all my hard work for a long time. and I know the reason.

By carelessness, the page linked with tripadvisor has been modified by the people in charge of info and itinerary updating who has not known the principle of TA (it's used to be an one day tour..). now we have already changed it back to the original status which fits the principle of TA.

Let me know if you can make my property restored. Especially the all the 5-green star excellent reviews.It's very very important for us,who just open this business. The platform of Tripadvisor is the key for us to survive. We will try everything to make it back. And deeply remember this lesson and pay a big attention in itinerary renew the next time.

Please let me know how to make it happen. Please tell me straight. Please let me know what can I do to get my reviews back.

I booked the Antares Hotel Concorde in Milan through Trip Adviser for the 26/27th May 19

Booking supplied by customer on 11/05/16

Just after my mother in law was rushed into hospital and has since died.

We cancelled this booking on the 16th May 10 days before our visit.

We paid �£430.32 for the hotel and they have offered us a refund of �£47.71.

This is a rip off. Can you help with this matter please

I made a reservation on line for a hotel in Pittsburgh, gave my credit card and completed all information. however, I never received a confirmation and when I called the hotel, they did not have my reservation either.??????

Trip advisor is ridiculous. People have to stop basing their lives on websites. To allow general random people to write reviews and the internet company not to check with owners the material in that review is against all laws and destroys businesses. This is why businesses are going out of business. Such internet site can be sued and will be sued for placing reviews that are not fair. Only a independent journalist should write reviews. But people to read them shows the embarrassing society we have become. Then there is no service direct with TripAdvisor. One wastes time in life going around automated sites for them. It is a joke.

your complaint department does not exist. I would and have left messages regarding services on 4/29/2016. We booked a place called Fairbridge Inn and Suites in WestPoint highland New York. the rating was a 3.4 I paid 90 dollars for 2 nights. DId not stay either night disgusting would not send my dog here. Extremely dirty!!!!. I left and 4 30 more dollars a night stayed at 5 star hotel. This hotel that we booked from trip advisors should not be advertised as level 3-2 I give it a 1 star.
