This store has good selection of merchandise most of the times. But that's where the good stuff ends. I have been going to this store mostly because it's closer to where my best friend lives. So it's our preferred location to shop later in the night, while shopping together at a times when there are less people in the store. But since a few times we both have been having terrible experience, including last night, 06/30/2021. We came in to the store at 9:30pm and we were almost done by 10:15pm - at which point we could already hear announcements about the store closing at 11pm. We were about to head out at this point trying to check the size of some tees with the sample that we had got, since we cannot try them on. Within 5 mins there were as many as 3 associates who came to us to mention that they will be closing soon and we need to hurry. (Hey we could hear the announcements, right). At this point we were irked and headed towards the checkout. The store did not have many customers at this time and one person was being helped at the payment counter. There were two open cash registers with one lady and one gentleman behind them. When the lady got done with her pervious customer my friend moved towards the counter. However lady looked at her and without even saying a word left. So now we are left with one cashier who happens to be the last associate trying to hurry us out of the store. I had a few returns (with receipts and without) and a few purchases. Without any greeting or acknowledgment, the cashier Caleb started my checkout. When I told him I have returns he annoyingly took the return bag from me and then the id. He was almost throwing the Id and receipts back and I don't know if its just a bad day at this location of BCF or my bad luck or something else. My friend also received similar behavior and was very annoyed. We both were out of the store by 10:40pm which is a good 20 mins before the store closes. I have worked with BCF in another location a few years back and was mostly on closing shifts. Not sure if something changed about the way we treat customers with dignity and respect, since the time I left my job. I called up the manager the next day to describe my ordeal and he was pretty defensive about the treatment we received. I also told him that few months back, I was also faced with a similar situation in the same store location. He said he will check and get back to me. BCF gets a lot of customers who might not be able to even raise a flag about the kind of harassment they have faced in the store for no reason at all. Maybe they should consider closing the store earlier if they want the customers out earlier. Going through the reviews I can see a lot of people mentioning the same kind of experience with the cashier and manager and I am not surprised. I always like shopping at Burlington because of the value for money, but will not return to this location - not after 9 pm at least.

Tried to return earring set to the store. I brought this at a discounted price with few pieces missing (that's why it was discounted). I misplaced the receipt but had given them the phone number and card I purchased with. They refused my return saying that there is no proof of purchase. I have previously worked in BCF to know that this cannot be the case. That means I am assuming one cannot return a discounted piece of jewelry or is it left to the whims of associate/store manager. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Today I visit your store in Happy Valley.Around 7:40pm, I was informed by a friend of my mine, that had recently got hey stop of echo apparel with blue colors. Which is hard to find so I took a 5 minute walk through to see if you had stuff on hand you did not proceeded me to store and soon I was met by 3 Clackamas county sheriff's was 86 from property because why cuz I didn't buy anything profile what is it I've never done anything wrong but seems like feel the backpack on or you said certain profile if you get 86 from Burlington coat factory why is that and why are you that message to be put across when I spend money there I get in trouble if I don't see money there amazing. Change appointment everyday innocent people should be scared just to go to the store if you're not going to spend money you have to spend money or you get 86 you can not window shopping anymore and this is not just coat factory this is a lot of stores like this now why is that it's way high tech systems are today you guys can't tell the difference between an innocent and guilty person by the past can do it everyday.

Your store in East Windsor is a disaster. Merchandise on the floor, items placed in wrong spot, I really don't know how that location stays open. You're clothing all sizes together, who wants to sort through that mess? Obviously when the store closes at night there is no recovery done wouldn't recommend to anyone

Shopping in the new Bridgewater NJ store. Had a full carriage ready to exit the store. I was told I could not take the carriage out to my car. I am 68. I bought heavy candles. I should have just walked out with it. My girlfriend started pulling my bags out. Good luck with Christmas Season. You expect Mothers with toddlers and babies in their carts to struggle out of the store with kids and bags just so your cart wheels don't get Covid dirty? Are you serious? No other stores are doing that. Never shopping there again and warning others not to either.

I recently bought several items of clothing at Burlington Coat Factory in Manchester New Hampshire. One of the items was a pair of Jambu water shoes. I bought my usual size without trying on. Got home and tried them on, they are too tight. I went back to the store and my return was declined. I couldn't even exchange them for the next size up which they didn't have anyways. Last Fall I was there and saw some fleece jackets that were too small for me and they didn't have the next size up in the store. I ordered 2 jackets online but they were too big so I brought to store for return, no problem. I don't even shop there often but I guess I made one return too many. Thank goodness I'm only out $19.00.

I would like everyone to know please stay away from Burlington Coat Factory, do not order anything online because there is a 100% chance when your package becomes lost or stolen you will never ever get a refund back for lost goods..Their return policy is just the same due to these goods cannot be returned back to the location they ordered your goods from..Burlington Coat Factory and Fedex lost my package..Fedex left my package outside and it was stolen am out of $132.00 now neither Burlington Coat Factory or Fedex is responsible, so beware of these stores with their unfair inhumane practices.

I went to the store in webster Tx today. I had 2 items. Stood in line for about 25 min and then the cashier took 2 ladies with huge boxes full of clothes and rung them up before me. I asked to speak with the manager and when I did she refused to ring me up for the 2 items I wanted. I was instructed to just go wait in another line. I put my items down and left. I can't understand this sort of customer service and was really upset that I couldn't even buy the items I wanted.

I shop at the Garner NC Burlington often. Recently I had a bad, awkward experience. There was a tall woman working behind the registers but not ringing people up although there was a long line. My cashier was very friendly and polite and the transaction was going well. I'm not sure if the other woman was a manager but she spoke so rudely and disrespectful to the cashier that I thought the young girl was going to cry. I was unsure what to do and apologized to the cashier. It was very uncomfortable. I was shocked that management would allow this type of behavior and assumed it would be handled appropriately. Next time I shopped there, she was still there with the same rude and condescending attitude. As much as I enjoy shopping at Burlington I am tempted to take my business elsewhere to avoid another awkward situation. Is this the culture of how Burlington treats their employees?

I recently went to Burlington and spent about 378 dollars on babygirl clothes due to my 3rd pregnancy being a girl and I have to boys I had nothing...well come to find out the doctors were wrong and I am not having a girl....so I had to take all 378 dollars worth of baby girls clothes back to the store with the tags still on and receipt and luckily withing the 30 day limit and they were kind enough about the situation and gave me no problem doing the return which was about 130 items of clothing I was kinda scared after reading all the post about them but am here to say that they truly came thru for me and am very satisfied

I attempted to return a couple of items WITH MY RECEIPT and WITHIN THE 30 DAY LIMIT and my return was declined!!!! How embarrassing. The cashier nor the manager of the store could figure out what happened as I was within the time limit and had all my receipts. They suggested that I call the number on the rejection slip which the register produced. I called the number and was told I would have to wait 60 MONTHS before I could return my items and I was informed of this when I bought the items. I checked my receipts and NOWHERE did it state this policy; however, the gentleman on the phone said I was informed. I am thoroughly disgusted with this store and will never shop there again. CUSTOMERS BEWARE........

Just received my Christmas present coat. Is gorgeous BUT sent the wrong size. I ordered the correct size, the packing slip has the correct size, but whoever packed it packed the wrong size. So am I seriously responsible for return shipping too? Am anxious to see how Burlington handles this considering it was their error, not mine.

The worst customer service ever. Because of the very rude and extremely unprofessional store manger Robert Ferguson, I will never spend my hard earned cash at the Savannah Mall location. The store and the employees will fail with this type of leadership. Shame on you Robert Ferguson....smh

I bought a winter coat at Burlington in Sterling, VA and attempted to return it. However, the nice lady behind the counter told me that I could not get a refund to my credit card, just a store credit. She said that there is no expiration date abd that it is still my money. Technically speaking, it is now Burlingtons money on a store credit because I am now obliged to spend it there. The next time I want something, I will go to amazon instead for any future purchases after I use the store credit.

I went to Burlington today and was really disappointed I wanted to return or should I say exchange some shirts I had got my cousin for her bday well comes out to they didn't fit her but didn't think I would need the recite anymore so me I throw it or I don't remember what I did with it and didn't bother to give them a number at the end of the purchase cause my two month old was going crazy and my 2 year old was also going crazy and just wanted to hurry and get out of the store. Well my point is they didn't let me exchange it or even get a gift card cause I didn't have the reciiept and it was over $25 dollars by a few dollars it came out to $29 something.. I've been been going to Burlington for a very very long time specially for baby stuff and never had a problem with returning anything but I don't know what was up this lady ass she didn't wanna help me and I did read the policy on returns and it never said a amount I can't go over look on the cameras this month you'll see me purchasing it and that's your reciept

The waldorf store in Maryland has a return policy right on the counter that requires a reciept to return items. Yet the management and the employees will only take a return it all the tags are in everything.
As a rule of sanitation, I dont wear clothing until the chemicals are washed off of them and sometimes cheap clothing or poorly made clothing will fall apart on the first wash but you cant wash clothes with tags on them! Or the seems come out upon trying them on.
Either way, the employees need to adhere to the written policy at the store.

I ordered a black leather jacket online and received a green puffy bomber styled jacket instead. My trip I ordered it for is coming up and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of shipping it back. It took 5 people at the store to figure out how to give me the refund and then I found out they are only refunding me the price of the jacket. If I want back the cost of shipping I have to contact them online. I still haven't seen the credit for the return show up on my credit card but I'm hoping it does by Monday.
