Dear Sir:

Further to our previous telephone conversations, please find attached a detailed account of prool and progression of mechanical issues and repairs completed to my 2008 BMW 535xi. that resulted after your shop changed the oil and filter in early

2016. Joe Wilson has advised that he has located the invoice in your computer file records relevant to this matter.

The vehicle began running rough and dash warning engine lights appeared. Canadian Tire completed a number of diagnostic procedures to identify problems and responded as fault codes registered.

The cause of all issues was eventually identified and confirmed to be the oil cap insert not being replaced during the oil change completed by Jiffy Lube.

A BMW specialist. Autobahn located on Finley Avenue in Ajax completed a final inspection, diagnosis, adjustments and code reset.

The Service Manager and Technician. Jerry. who completed the diagnosis and repairs at Canadian Tire Port Perry 905-985-7341 may he contacted at your convenience for more information if required.

The owner and mechanic Mark of Autohahn East also may he contacted if you require further

information -

Accordingly, I am seeking a total of S 1,547.29 compensation for repairs paid to date.

Regards.

Ron McCracken

Jiffy Lube I will never go to them again they change my oil and strip my oil cap and now they been giving me the run around for abt a month or so they had me to take it to Goodyear and they said I need a oil pan then they didn't want to pay them so they had me to take it back to another jiffy lube and then the so call distance manager Mark tells me it ain't they fault well who fault is it I don't no how to change oil it's bull and it's cost 800.00 to get it fix and they don't won't to pay for it so next step I'm force to take..Call the corp office in TX waiting to see what they have to say this is bull and I'm not happy one bit and they keep changing my oil plug instead of fixing my car.

I was at a huffy lube yesterday and was shocked by results. Invoice The manager showed me the filter. I said no thanks on replaced. WHEN I LEFT A STRONG SMELL. I pulled over. Took air filter out. There was a wet spot with a awful smell. The driving it smelled like something burning. It went away in time. At end the guy who rung me up. Became short with me.

Went to your Woodstock Ontario location and a simple oil change ruined my engine..left with loud knocking sound coming from engine. Went back and so called trained technicians didn't know what to do so they basically told me to leave and go bring it to a mechanic. Drove 7km home on engine with no oil running through it.

Mechanic noticed oil filter was crushed and dripping with oil. Told me that I had metal shaving in engine and engine was ruined.

It cost me $2300 to replace the engine and jiffy lube wiped their hands of this...car ran great before it went in for oil change..didn't even get out the bay doors and car was knocking bad.

Tried to talk to manager Chris Dennis and he useless

I will never go back again and I will tell everyone in town to stay away

Went to the north Broadway location in Salem nh on 1/15 Several customers had the $10.00 off coupon that was a good coupon but we're told at the register that they had been having a problem with the code all day and register would not take it. I think if they were having a problem all day someone should have made a call to get it fixed. I have been going there for over ten years but will not be back. Other customers were also unhappy.

Never return as they lost one of the screws that hold down cover for air cleaner and the battery was corroded completely over and they said battery was fine.
If you use them check B4 you leave there lot but best find someone else.

Greetings
I am a regular customer of Jiffy Lube and very pleased with your services. However, once again, I had an oil change, smog check, DMV registration and power steering fluid change last week. Two days later I receive a coupon in the mail for 15% off other services, $10.00 off smog check and a $29.99 oil change! Grrr! Just venting. Next time I will just wait for a coupon in the mail as this has happened three times before. Thanks. Len P.S. The staff at the Los Altos location in Sparks, Nevada is excellent!

Jiffy Lube overfilled our oil by 2-3 quarts causing our engine to seize up. They are now saying that sludge and an internal leak cause the engine to seize up. ( how they know this , I do not know since the adjuster basically just opened the hood and look at the engine). The car was running great before the oil change. We noticed tapping or knocking sound immediately after leaving the shop. About 20 miles later the oil light comes on and the engine starts running really rough. We pulled into the nearest auto shop who confirmed the engine was overfilled. They drained the oil and did a complete oil change. The light went off but the tapping noise continued and the engine seized a few miles later and now the car is inoperable. Don't ever go to Jiffy lube! They do not stand by their work.

Good morning i went to the Jiffy Lube located on Delsea Drive, Vienland NJ. I went there for a basic oil change I had my own oil and filter. They had the nerve to tell me that the oil change will cost me 80 dollars in addition they will take 3 dollars off the price of the oil and 3 dollars off the price of the filter. Mind you I had my own oil and filter. I will never go there again.

I arrived at your store in Martinsburg West Virginia this morning at 7:53 AM your store opens at 8 AM at this location and did not open a minute early there are three bays located at your store here in Martinsburg all three doors were opened and I was the third person in line yet I was placed second in line at the first bay door to people that came in after me left the store before me you know I had done was your "" signature oil change service
When your technician came to get me in the waiting room he tried to sell me an air filter I declined this was 40 minutes after I had arrived at your store he then told me I would be another 15 minutes before it would be done at that point everyone walked away from my vehicle and sure enough it took those extra minutes even though all the windows have been washed in all of the fluids had been topped off I was made to wait I can only assume that it was because I did not purchase his air filter there is a store directly across from your location here that is a local family owned business that provides the exact same service that you do I will be using them from now on thank you and your employees for wasting my time this morning I will spread the word

Unprofessional, poor, overpriced service. Visited Natchitoches, LA location and they didn't perform all services that are on my invoice. The guys are very immature and unprofessional.

I had a synthetic oil change done last week at your store in Castleton. No other services were provided, and the cost was $93.00, and this due to an upcharge of $45 over the standard oil change of $39.00. Considering that the standard oil change includes the regular oil, and that at retail prices synthetic oil is about twice regular oil, the upcharge should be no more than $20.00

(Synthetic at 9:00, regular oil at 4:00)

How do you justify charging $45 for this upgrade? By comparison, Walmart charges $55.00 for the same service.

I attempted to upload the following as a complaint on JLs online customer feedback. No matter what I did, the site would never accept my uploaded complaint.
Friday April 10th: along with several other weekend errands, my husband pops into our California MD Jiffy Lube #3198 for an oil change. During the oil change, a leak is noticed from the reservoir with coolant hose--that goes to the radiator. There is a plastic "nipple" coming out of the reservoir with a hose and they are attached it seems by some sort of plastic clip. This is my layman's understanding. My husband looked with the JL tech (Sergio Perez), and my husband said okay, just replace the plastic clip. After a bit, Perez reports that in an effort to disconnect the hose and replace the clip piece, he broke the "nipple" part. Now the whole reservoir must be replaced in order to fix this. No one has the part available until Monday the 13th. The order for the part is placed by Perez, and Perez tells my husband--see you back on Monday for the fix. My husband drives off and on his way to the next errand. Shortly down the road, his Nissan truck overheats, he pulls over, opens the hood and there's coolant? antifreeze? all over the engine. A tow truck is called to tow the now inoperable vehicle back to JL. Perez may have placed the order for the new part at this time--I'm not 100%. Either way, we're waiting until Monday and my husband has to get a rental car. Ok, fine. My question is, might this have been avoided with a more knowledgeable technician?
Monday the 13th. Go back to JL after work, no part, no Perez--he's off work this day. The part isn't likely available until Wednesday now. What is the deal with this type of communication?
The rental car fees continue. The cost and lack of skill are what offend me, more so the lack of skill.
Wednesday the 15th. Go back to JL after work. Truck has new part and seems OK. My husband drives it home, me following, via a gas station stop. When I pull up, my husband has his flashlight out, is under the hood of his truck (about 8:45pm tonight), and pulls out (with a long-reach device) a SET OF PLIERS FROM JIFFY LUBE. Now, I don't know how big a deal that really is. However, I am disgusted by the gross ineptitude of your tech/s at our Jiffy Lube. Is this acceptable? How did Perez let my husband drive off last Friday, if the way the vehicle was left would end up with overheating and a dead truck requiring a tow truck and rental car for 6 days? Does he not know this part being broken or off leads to this? What is up with the pliers left hanging around in the engine? Why go back, obviously? However, I want to hear about JL taking some kind of responsibility for this bottom of the barrel quality. You have to do something about it.

My girlfriend was in for an oil change saturday. But didn't agreed to the price and she was giving no options on oil selection because the the technician has already pulled the plug with out her agreeing to what kind of oil she wanted. She wanted to leave because it was too expensive but couldnt. She was told that she needed a special oil so she left with a $70bill. She wasn't happy at all. A few days later she calls me saying that her car is louder then usual. Come to find out that not only her airfilter wasn't installed right but the air filter cover clips are now broken allowing too much air to go through. I feel like she was taken advantage of due to her knowledge about cars. She wanted the 24.99 special. I expect a refund in which I'm still waiting on and her car to be fixed and service properly.

I am contacting your headquarters, because I had an oil changed on my car at one of your Jiffy Lube sites. On March 7, 2015, I went to your Manchester Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue, Los Angeles, CA Jiffy Lube, which no other services were rendered. My pink receipt given to me by Jiffy Lube says by car did not have any problems (Good Condition).

When Jiffy Lube completed my car, 2008 Hyundai Sonata, on March 7, 2015 at about 9:30am, I obtained my car, continuing with my day. By 9:45 while I was on the 405 freeway getting off at LaCienga Blvd, my car abruptly stopped and would not start back up. My life without a car is causing much hardship.

I have never had any problems with my car and only took it in to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed, but now my life is a now a nightmare. I was told by Jiffy Lube Van Ness that the manager (Freddy) was vacation which Alex or Felix will contact me. To this date, I have not been able to contact anyone for assistance, which I have continued to call.

I need my car repaired but no one from your office has been to where my car is located to tell me what happened to my car that came in for an oil change in good condition. I can be contacted on my cell phone at 323-287-6355 which I work from 8:30am to 6pm but will call someone back if I am not available.

Fraudulent duplicative charging at Alpharetta Jiffy Lube (Store 1060 on Holcomb Bridge Road)

Jiffy Lube, who gets into some heat every few years for fraudulent billing for services not rendered appears to be at it again in their Holcomb Bridge Road location.

A synthetic oil change is $89.99. This is typically billed at $45.99 (signature service) plus 46.99 (synthetic oil upgrade) = $89.99 Specifically, Pennzoil Platinum.

The employee attempted to charge me $45.99 plus $89.99. It didn't sound right and I asked more questions. He insisted it was correct. I asked him to pull up my prior Jiffy Lube invoice to compare the pricing. He could not.

He offered to take off $10. Then offered to take off $15. Eventually I realized what was happening and adivsed I'd be leaving.

My oil was already removed.

He eventually charged me $50 in total to leave and not further inquire into the matter. I have no idea what oil he actually put in my car. He also advised that all the other services (tire pressure, fluid check, vacumn etc) were not included.

I called the Holcomb Bridge Store #1060 store manager Spencer Lockett (sp?). He advised what the price should have been ($45.99 + 46.99). He also didn't seem to care that his employee attempted to overcharge me, nor did he ask when it happened, who did it, or even apologize.

I called Jiffy Lube Corporate Customer Care to advise/inquire, assuming they'd want to know or look into it. The customer care rep gave me a hard time, raised her voice, and told me she couldn't help, wouldn't transfer me to another rep or supervisor, and wouldn't give me her name. She then hung up on me.

Just left Jiffy Lube in Lakeway Texas for the very last time. Went in for a simple oil change, waited 45 minutes until I was informed they could not find the tool to remove the filter, FOR A MALIBU!!! I owned restaurants for 20 years and never told a customer I couldn't cook their steak because I couldn't find my grill.

I couldn't get the Feedback page to accept this..I kept getting an error message. On Sunday I went in for an oil change. A nice young guy convinced me to have my brake fluid changed. He was personable and despite the much longer wait and higher invoice (which he changed with lots of apologies) than he indicated I left satisfied. When I got home I noticed there was grease all over the floor mat where the kid sat and pumped the brakes during the emptying process. I called the store and the same guy than I worked with answered the phone and said they "would make it right." He asked some questions about the age and shape. I said they were about a month old but just stock mats from Costco. He asked if I could bring in the receipt. I told him I didn't have the receipt but could probably bring a picture from the internet. On my way home from work I stopped by and was greeted by one of the young guys from Sunday. He said he would get "his manager."
The manager came out and without uttering a word snatched the mat from my car. He walked into the bay and began spraying the mat with liquid from a bottle. Next, he rubbed the mat with white paper towels while periodically spraying more liquid. Once he had it quite wet and a number of dirty paper towels he bought it back to me. Held it up and said, "It was really dirty." I responded, "You rubbed the grease into the fabric." He replied, "It was dirty. It's done." I said, "It isn't done. You have made a this large dark grease area from rubbing the grease into the fabric." At this point he very sarcastically said, "Sorry." I asked, "So, that's it?" He responded by raising his voice (Yes, raising his voice like I was there bothering him with my meaningless complaint!), "We try to keep it clean in here but (something.) I can't remember what that last word was. I was angry! I still am angry! They got grease on my mat and he is yelling at me?! Are you serious! I grabbed my mat and said, "Never mind! I will just bad feedback your ass!" Well, I teach at a high school and have never back feed backed anyone. I hear kids talk about doing it and tomorrow that is just what I intend to do after the kids show me how.

I took my Audi A5 for an inspection to 2504 Williams Dr Georgetown, TX. Once I got it back, the driver seat was scratched which is visible and apparent. I just purchased this car 2 months back and I know my car didn't have this before. So when I addressed this to the manager, the employee of coursed, denied it. I got the contact info for the regional manager and since then I have been trying to get in touch with this person but I haven't heard back. I am very upset because its a leather seat and its an expensive car, they should handle it w more care. I will continue to contact them because they have to repair the damage their employee has caused due to his negligence in managing the car.
