AT&T at Costco gave us a written quote to move from T-Mobile at price 'x' a month and when real monthly bill comes, neither the monthly recurring charge, nor promos to move from T-Mobile to AT&T match the promised written quote. As a consumer, I have made at least 10 calls to AT&T, have visited Costco booth 3 times and none of them are able to standby what was promised - they all keep apologizing and agree that it was a mistake and yet no solution. I feel this is a clear theft and scam to attract customers to move from other telecom company and worst thing is we cannot complain to any legal entity. We as customers are suffering with service provider monopoly and they are doing these scams without any fear of law. They are simply thieves who should be behind bars like any other criminal.

I hope AT&T goes out of business . I was completely lied to when trading in my device credit $800. The sales rep said I could pay off the remaining balance . When I called to pay it off I was told you have to pay the whole balance of $1099.00.
It's a scam and ripping people off to keep them locked into a contract for 36 months. So I'm stuck !!
Talking to a rep over the phone told me they are sorry for the misinformation and was told they will send in a dispute and will fixed the problem and send an email.
I called back the next day asking where is my email . The rep never followed through disputing.
All but nothing liars!!!
Also , I was told if I go to another phone service I will have to pay for the $1099.00.
This should be illegal !!

Terrible company. They send in-home experts to your home to give you a great deal, and then you realize that you were scammed pretty bad. I was a very happy T-Mobile customer for 6 years with $140 for 5 lines. When I get ATT Internet, an ATT agent came and gave me $132 (total after all the taxes and charges) for 4 lines deal. I switched it, but it turns out he was lying. The monthly bill is indeed about $200. When I call call center, they say I "misunderstand" the deal. How convenient. Good scam. Very rude and terrible customer service, too. STAY AWAY!!!

Bunch of criminals working at the AT&T warehouse. I sent back my trade in phone, a Note 10 in mint condition, and months after I never see the credit on my bill, they tell me they didn't receive my phone, instead the received some old flip phone. And now I lose on $800. Case #CM20230118_155626478 was created and final outcome was that I lose on on $800 because AT&T has criminals working in their warehouse

ATT is a very deceptive company. If you can contact your local FTC FCC BBB Atty General office do so . I have been with them 29+ years if I can give them a zero rating sadly I would ! Bill errors , dishonest sales , poor disclosure policies , they lie never follow back with you , watch out for the newest scammer from their "corporate office of the ceo" laugh at that one , even caught them in a lie during a hour long call . If we all reach out for answers we will get the items fixed , like the old ATT did for us !

So far my experience has been horrible.. 1st my internet down work and need a technician to come out, I say home from 4 to 8 (since that was the time given). I get a text at 7 stating the technician was running late and will be at the house by 8. This technician NEVER came!!! I call this morning and all their computers are down and I see I got my first bill already for internet I don't have!!!

Upgraded my phone for the $1000 trade in promotion. My next bill reflected a $500 promotion only. Did a live chat with customer service where they pulled up my previous chat confirming that I would receive the $1000 promotion and my new monthly billing charge. They said that I received a different promotion for $500 only and that they could not do anything about it even though I have it in writing that I would receive the $1000 promotion. Awful customer service. They dont fix the problem or try to keep you as a customer just "there's nothing I can do". Ridiculous.

Customer service language barrier. Questions are asked repeatedly. Issues are never resolved nor are there answers. I've decided to not switch from Verizon.

Worst customer service ever! I did a wireless trade in on July 4 2022, the phones were supposed to be shipped to us, but only 1 was ever received. I called Loyalty several times to tell them that we hadn't received the phones and their only response was to check the tracking, which didn't show ANYTHING. Finally 5 weeks later we went to a bigger store and told them what was going on to see if they could help or get us new phones. They couldn't see anything in the tracking either, and couldn't cancel it, but instead of filing a report for a stolen phone, they just created new records to sell us new phones. We thought everything was fine until November when we were billed $800 for those missing phones. I have called and complained numerous times, I've complained in the store, I've complained to the Area Manager Mike Mitchem. I've had them create stolen phone reports, and reimbursement incidents in my behalf and everything keeps getting rejected because it's been over 90 days since the initial shipment. I know that! AT&T waited 4 months to bill me for it, and now they want to blame me for waiting too long to report it stolen. And despite all the notes on my account about this, and all the times I've spoken to "Loyalty" they STILL turned out phones off and forced me to pay $700 to turn them back on! AND they have me running all over town talking to UPS trying to track down proof that it wasn't delivered, like their errand boy. As a customer I should NOT have to do AT&T's job for them, and I should NOT be charged for something I have been telling them since July that I did not receive!

ATT has now installed bots that make a grueling experience worse. The receptionist bot cannot understand anything said. They send a chat bot to your phone that does not work. I only got to a human finally by saying human human human over and over. By then I was no longer pleasant to deal with.

The humans they hire are trying but they are working for a company that has chosen to become evasive rather than to problem solve.

This is unfortunate - as ATT really worked hard to come back from their fall, and was doing well. I think something happened when they became connected with direct TV that really messed with what was not a perfect but workable and friendly company. I feel they are very overwhelmed and when you call them for any problem - put you through an obstacle course - that just is not productive to them or the customer.

The decision to install extremely bad bots at the front of the experience - I take as a death knell.

Started internet service in August 2022 against my better judgement. Have set up auto pay each and every month since. Get told it has been processed and accepted. Only to receive an email a day before the bill is due saying that someone has cancelled my auto pay. Call up AT&T only to speak to several different departments because the person who answers the phone first just disregards what is being said and goes on with what they want. Called again today because the bill was due today. Grant it I received an email bill on the 22nd of January letting me know my bill information and that auto pay was set up and will take the payment by the due date. Didn't happen so I called only to be told I was not set up on auto pay. Clever scam since they give a 5 dollar discount for using auto pay. Speak with a supervisor who tells me they will transfer me to the accounts receivable department. They would be able to tell me why this keeps happening. They proved to be the same geniuses as everyone else I had dealt with. I was informed that I have never been set up on auto pay and that they would be happy to get me set up. I told them I've called every month because it just keeps seeming to evaporate after it has been approved. Why? I don't know. My records show you have never setup auto pay. I say my records show that I keep getting setup and approved, yet it keeps disappearing. Was told he couldn't help me if I keep complaining. What? So her we go again. I don't care about your complaints. I am just here to set you up on auto pay or take a payment. Well, soon as I move to a new home, I will no longer have AT&T. I will dump them and just like in Harry Potter, they will become those that shall not be named. Should have listened to my father when he said AT&T are a bunch of liars and cheats. To never have anything to do with them. Well that day will come soon.

I am long-term customer .
Recently I stopped at a local at AT&T store just to ask question about inter calls.
They answered my question and looked at my account.
they said that my plan is too old and they can offer me a better plan that will be $20 cheaper.
two weeks later I received a bill that was twice as expensive as my previous one.
I went back to the store and the answer was short. We can't help you , your plan is already changed.
I want other people to know how AT&T treat their customers.

If you live in the townhome community of Hamilton Village, AT&T is actively courting your business. Beware, for the last 2 days, I have had a dangerous, unsightly muddy canyon just outside my back door. AT&T offered no explanation or warning. They just dug this monstrosity and left. This was the green space that my kid, my dog, and I used often. AT&T has done this numerous times. If the company has this type of disregard for your property and safety Before you become a customer, trust me. It will not be any better once you give them your business.

I was informed about a promo they had when i openers my account, I mailed 3 phones in and 6 months ago and they are saying they can't find them,
My bill is almost 500.00 dollars a month for piss poor service, I do believe I'm in the making for Verizon

I have never received such poor service from any business I've ever dealt with! Within the past 3 days, I've tried to get help from their wireless for business dept. The 1st day, I was on hold for 74 minutes and then he line went dead. I called back and it took another 40+ minutes before a live person came on the line. After attempting to explain my needs, (to a person I could barely understand!) I was transferred one more time to their "Loyalty Dept." Their recording informed me they were closed. Thanks alot you inept rep.!
The following day, I was on hold for slightly more than an hour, before saying *#@^!!! and giving up. Today (#3) I actually was able to talk to a person after an acceptable 6 minutes, who proceeded to tell me that I had to jump thru various hoops in order to "port" my number over to the new carrier I have chosen. I could have & should have been given such information when I 1st informed them I was going to make this switch, which was in early January.
There is much more to this story of my overall dealings with AT&T, a major part of that is the attempted Fraud case that I settled over a year ago. That was a real nightmare too. Their Rep. sold my company multiple devices, (Hot Spots, etc.) that we completely did not need!
My advice to anyone either thinking of or currently doing business with this company, is to Stay or Break Away! By their actions it's clear that they are NOT interested in your satisfaction, only in taking your good money for their bad service.

I sat on hold for a customer rve representative for about 40 minutes only for the representative to tell me he was new and does not know how to help me switch my number to another phone. He then gave me another phone number to call that was no longer in service ?

AT&T CORPORATE IS NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES! PERIOD! I recently attempted to set up an account for my group psychotherapy practice. Went to the AT$T Store in Derby, CT. Got everything set up very capably and professional by the store manager Angel. Once set up and made my start up payment he called another department..not sure exactly who they were. I had to answer some questions about my business website. Out of nowhere I was advised my account was canceled as AT&T assessed my 7 year established business to be a fraud. Tried speaking with that AT&T departmental manager (Maria?). Angel and the Regional Manager tried speaking to her as well. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ALL OF US. She refused to inform any of us how my business was considered by AT&T a fraud. Told by the managers in the store AT&T corporate has been dong the same thing to other small business applicants. They were bewildered as to why. I asked Maria to refund my money. Dismissively she instructed me to get it through my own bank. Store Manager Angel was able to refund my money. I called AT&T Corporate Offices in Texas. Make a formal complaint specifying all these events. Told "a case will be opened" and "a representative will be in contact with (me)". That was a month ago. No communication at all. Kudos to the Derby, CT AT&T store for trying everything they could after 4 visits on my part to work out my problems. If I could, I would leave the absolute worst rating for AT&T Corporate. To be very clear: AT&T CORPORATE HAS NO INTEREST IN WORKING WITH LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS. I ADVISE ALL LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS TO USE ANOTHER CARRIER.

I recently got home internet with AT&T and a lady came to our door after trying to sell us their AT&T phones. I told her my phones are paid off and I'm not in a contract and don't want a contract . She said for all three of our phones we can trade and get 899 for each phone , which we have three and our bill will be 25 cheaper than t mobile. I said as long as it's no contract and if it's cheaper and she said yes. So thinking AT$T is a reputable company we hand over our three iPhones and they give us their iPhone 14 an upgrade. So I get my first bill which she quoted me 164.00 and it's was 254.00. So I called customer service to see why my bill is higher lo and behold I'm in a three year contract and my phones don't get credited until the third billing cycle. So in shock after she lied to my face I got transferred to a manager and express my concerns . I said can I get my old phones back and return these . She tells me she will see if she can locate my phones the lady took while at my house during the trade and call me back. Sure enough a day goes by not even a call back . So my concern I will be charged for all my phones if they didn't get returned to the warehouse and I can't even track or check anything because the AT$T lady took them to return . So at this point after being lied to and scammed I just figure I will take a loss on all
Of my paid off iPhones I traded and return AT$T phones that way I can get out of the contract and won't have to worry about being scammed anymore . I took a huge loss 2800 on my phones I traded and returned their phones . They are horrible they will
Lie to your face scam you and take no responsibility for their actions and could care less. After all said and done I look at their ONE star reviews and see everyone has the same issues complaining about being lied and scammed . Stay clear if this company they are horrible .

Worst company ever. I decided to get the iPhone 13 when it first came out and that was a year ago with AT&T worst decision of my life. The phone price was around 1200-1300 for the phone I decided to pay it off monthly by paying 200 dollars a month. I've been paying this for about a year almost going to 2. and there always saying I owe them money for the phone unless my math is wrong 200$ for about 12 months is 2400 and to this day there saying I owed them $600 which I'm still paying it off. My advice don't ever go with AT&T also there service is bad I live in (RI) but work in (MA) and it's only a 30min drive to my work you would think 30min away from my home wouldn't make such a difference but the service is always slow and the app I want to use never work if it wasn't for my work Wi-Fi I probably would of never gotten to actually use my phone.

I have never been scammed this badly. I now have a higher bill than I did with t-mobile. AT&T said they could match it. And they didn't. They charge for so many things and not tell you. Customer service can't be anything else but bad. They say there aren't any contracts, but there is if you trade in. You can't even pay off your phone off it you want or the trade in doesn't apply. They don't tell you that! Never again. As soon as my contract is over with the wireless and internet is over, I'm out!!! They don't even offer a senior citizen discount unless you live in Florida supposedly. I

I don't even know where to start. This company is a joke. They make promises they can't keep. They change your plan without informing you. They can't get your bill right. EVER! I have only been with AT&T for 6 months and I have to call them at least 3 times month take the correct something on my bill. I have had to file two warranty claims because of faulty phones. When I filed the claims I was told I would rather new phones within 24 to 48 hours of the phone call. One phone took 6 days to get to me. On day 4 I was told by a technical support manager that I can track down the phone, find the UPS truck and go get the phone myself two states away. Now today I'm dealing with the same issue today is day 2 and the phone hasn't even been shipped, after I paid the extra money to make sure I received it within 24 to 48 hours. As of right now they are telling me the they they can't do anything to help me.

i was a Direct TV customer for over 15 years. my account was on autopay for the bulk of that time and was never late on a payment with them. AT&T bought them and took over the service for the past few years. I called to cancel my Direct TV account since it continued to go up and at the time of Cancellation it was costing me over $140 per month. When I called to cancel i directed them that i wanted to cancel that day. It took about 10 minutes to talk them into canceling that day but they assured me that i would be cancelled that day and i was current on my bill and did not owe them any money. i received a package to send back the equipment which i did. now about 6 months later I find out that they say I owed them $14.50 at time of cancellation (which I didn't and they had me on direct pay so if i owed them money they could have collected it). I returned all the equipment but now they say i did not return the equipment. They turned the account over to collection, even though i never received a bill saying i owed them money. My credit score has gone from 805 down to 680 because of this collection. AT&T screws their customers even after 15 years of prompt payment for their service. DO NOT use AT&T. They will not take care of you and screw you in the end.

My dad haven't had service since Oct 17, 2022!! He temporarily did an address change; when he went to switch it back to the original address is where the problems began!! They scheduled a tech 5 times and only once did they show up to say "problems outside" On the phone with them for more than 36 (YES 36 HOURS) hours since!! Then told me they "credited his account for these issues" GREAT your not charging me for services that haven't been use! They turned his services off from the temporary address and STILL NO SERVICE at his current (original address) He's been a customer for 40 years and I'm about to have him change because he NEEDS a landline and internet! EVERYTHING is overseas, They refuse to connect you to someone in the US (English being their 2nd language they truly don't understand you and you repeat yourself over and over and nothing STILL get done because they couldn't understand what the problem is/was)
