While many of the sales associates were very welcoming and helpful, the store managers of Boscov's in the Berkshire mall, whom I came in contact with, were very rude and did not promote the welcoming ideals which are commonly tied to the name of Albert Boscovs. After a shocking encounter with the store manager, how he treated both an employee and myself (a customer), I was taken so aback that I refuse to do any business with the Boscov's corporation in my future.

I go to BOSCOV'S every Saturday morning with my 84 year old mother. The store only has 6 shopping carts. Are you kidding me. The store is full of elderly customers and I have witness people fighting over on one of the 6 carts. Maybe BOSCOV'S can take some of the money they have and make shopping carts available to the customer's who shop - keeping the store OPEN! PLEASE, PLEASE GET MORE THEN 6 SHOPPING CARTS IN YOUR NESHAMINY STORE! DISGRACEFUL!

My husband bought a bracelet for my birthday at Boscov's in Vineland NJ., I put it on my arm for 3 minutes and a stone fell out.
When I went to return it, with the receipt in hand, they would not give me a cash refund. (I really wanted a pair of UGGS boots but Boscovs doesn't have them) It had been over 2 weeks since the purchase. They said I could get a store credit or it could be refunded on the Visa it was purchased from. So my husband had to come to the store to have the refund put on his credit card. He wasn't real happy since the bill already came and was paid in full. (The Visa refunds take 2-4 weeks to show up) we pay off our credit cards as they come in. No where does it state that you cannot get a cash refund on the receipt. I've never had problems like this a Boscovs before, I don't think I'll be shopping at Boscovs this Christmas.

Shocked that two employees useing cell phones to text or play games working on the floor at the Dover, De 19901 location. Both acted annoyed that I asked for help. If I had been a secret shopper store would have scored an F- due to employees not doing their job !!!!!! Gettting paid to be on cell phone,not the retail policy that I have known Plus 4% program not mentioned. Register #2210 Trans #97164

I was a former Boscov customer until it closed. Applied for new card but gave them a bad reading on monthly income as it really is none of your or Capitol Ones business as you already use Equifax to check creditability. Don't know whose report they gave you as mine is under Mary Diane Channell not under Mary D. Channell and this credit report shows that my credit is excellent with no negative info at all. If I am believe the letter I received that the reason I am not eligible for a card it is "excessive debt to income ratio". In my case this is laughable as the only debt I have is few ordinary bills monthly with no mortgage or car payments etc. at all.My credit report is clean! So goodbye to shopping at Boscov's.

hello i would like to voice my feeling on your store stop at the one york pa at the mall there well i can tell you i was very disappiont stop at the shoe dept on 8-23 12 to buy some shoes the two ladirs working were not sure what they were doing at register with a older gentleman ask one if you had a pair of shoes in my husband size , well i was sorry i ask not a happy person she did look and found them handed them to my husband and walk away she never came back or ask us how we were doing so we stood there watching them the lady sat down on a display and was talking to the other i look at my husband and said im going to purchase the four pairs of shoes at one of the other register not sure if they get comissine or not but i was done with them now the girl gets up and hollars at me that she is the only person that can ring us up by now im heated from all this my husband handed her the shoes and said we decided to go someone esle so you see you lost money becuase of rude people we are from ind. so its not like i will be back i just thought you should know why your rating are down and sales when people going shopping now a days they go where they save money and they know they are treat nicely thank you i hope kelly gross pobox 13102 fort wayne ind

Customer service! Really? Purchased a loveseat and sofa about 10 months ago which is still under warranty. I was housecleaning and moved my end table to discover a slice as with a utility knife on the fabric. Boscovs sent someone to check the defect and said it was not a manufacturer problem. I just got off the phone with Boscov's customer service and she said there was nothing they could do. Buyer beware! Make sure you totally inspect any furniture purchased from this outfit the day they deliver or you will be responsible for the damage they incur!

WORST customer service for cardholders EVER!
Not receiving email notifications that I signed up for: statement, payment, late payment.
Sent in 3 emails with concerns NEVER responded, called regarding these issues, still not resolved.
Signed up for automatic payments, they didn't work! I was charged a $25 late fee & I am on an interest free plan & made the payment!!!
They refuse to refund the late fee EVEN THOUGH it is their outdated internet systems fault!!!

I had missed my March payment by 1 date and was charged a $25.00 late fee. Now I find that I was charged ANOTHER $25.00 late fee for the late fee - so my balance due is $50.00. When I called Customer Service to see if anything could be done, I was told they can only reverse ONE fee in a year. I know this is my fault because I failed to call when I found the first statement with the $25.00 late fee on it and missed the posting date but I can't believe you add late fees to late fees without making any contact with the person. On occasion, when I've missed the due date on another card, they call and ask if there is a problem because my credit is good. I usually pay on time and pay well above the minimum payments. If you would check your records you could see the thousands of dollars I used to spend at BOSCOV's but as of today, I have closed my account and will send you the $25.00 fee if that's they way you want it. Your loss - Kohl's is right up the road. if you can relax the RULES once and reverse TWO fees, let me know and you can issue me a new card. If you can't I'll send the $25.00 and shop elsewhere.

I boxspring set from Boscov;s about 3 weeks ago. I have not had a decent nights sleep since then. I have had to go to a chiropractor for care of my painful back. All I can say is this....The salesman was very quick to jump in and say hey if you get a Boscov's charge you can take up to one year to pay with no interest...FUNNY HE FORGOT THE PART ABOUT MATTRESSES CANNOT BE RETURNED...WE HAVE 30 DAY "COMFORT" POLICY WHERE MATTRESSES CAN BE EXCHANGED...HE FORGOT THE PART THAT THE MATTRESS EXCHANGED MUST BE OF GREATER OR EQUAL VALUE... AND THERE WOULD BE A 10% RESTOCKING FEE AND A 70.00 DELIVERY CHARGE... really? Where is Judge Judy now. Insult was further added to injury when the same salesman told me I would have to call customer service as they were not permitted to get involved...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You can sell me a mattress, not tell me about the return policy or rather the exchange policy...real nice Boscov's. You suck!!!!!!!!!!! All I wanted was a good night's sleep instead it is a nightmare every night. I will never shop in your store and would strongly suggest others not shop there as well. Now I have a 2500.00 mattress and boxspring that are unbearable to sleep on. You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!

I also have an issue with Buscov’s customer service. In November 2011 I placed an order through Boscov’s online site for 9 identical items. I received an email response confirming the order with the explanation that there would be separate shipments at no additional shipping cost to me. So far, so good.

My purchase arrived in separate packages from 4 different stores. Of the 9 identical items ordered, 2 still had the security tags attached and 2 were the wrong brand . So for you math fans out there, Buscov’s managed to screw up 44% of my order, signaling that their quality control is seriously lacking. They did remove the security tags and mailed those items back to me. However, they couldn’t replace the 2 items that were the wrong brand and refused to give me a full refund, refunding the cost of only one item. I called Buscov’s twice and both times they refused to budge. I told them that this was the first time I had bought from them and that it would be the last, but clearly they didn’t care.

I contacted my credit card company and they promptly agreed to refund the remaining amount. Thank you Chase Visa, you are the best.

I would recommend that Buscov’s execs read Tony Hsieh’s book, Delivering Happiness, on creating a customer-centric culture at Zappos. In the meantime, this customer will vote with her pocketbook and take my repeat business elsewhere.

I'm trying to call regarding a problem with my bill. When I hit the number for that service, nothing happens. The phone goes dead and no connection is made. I need a person and cannot get one.

this store has sales associates that are not trained, there needs to be more people to assist customers and you need to watch prices very dishonest, always save receipts or you will get the lowest price back on a store card

I purchased a floor model mattress and boxspring from Boscov's. The salesperson was very helpful, at least so I thought. I tried out the mattress and thought it was a good fit. My salesperson was just trying to sale the product. The mattresses were very close together in the showroom. Therefore, I did not know that the mattress was two comfort levels. One side was plush and the other side was firm. Once I realized, I called and lets just say the rest is history. I still have the mattress and boxspring because I would have to pay more to exchange or return it than I was willing to pay. Me recommendation is that before you make a purchase from Boscov's just make sure you do a thorough inspection of the product. Do not depend on the salesperson to point out anything to you or make you believe that he/she is looking out for your best interest. I will be very skeptical about any future purchases from Boscov's.

In the last two years I have spent over $2000.00 at Boscov's. These purchases consisted mostly of jewelry which requires me to bring it back twice a year for cleaning and checkup with the warranty I purchased. On Nov. 26,2011 I took the jewelry to Boscov's in your Dover Delaware store at about 10 a.m. A lady(?) named Carol (approxamately 50 to 60 years old) told me that she was by herself and the she would have to take care of the people buying first,even though she did not give me a chance to tell her that we were also shopping for engagement and wedding rings. There were 4 or 5 other sales people at the other jewelry counters. When I asked how long it would be she barkes 10 to 15 minutes. After almost 1/2 hour another employee who noticed how long I had been waiting came over and took care of me even though there were shopping customers waiting also. Unfortunately I will still have to come to your jewelry deptartment twice a year to keep my warranty in tack but I won't be bringing any new jewelry. By the way I did buy engagement and wedding rings at Zales where we were treated with respect>

I am a loyal Boscovs shopper, and over the years have truly enjoyed shopping at your store. I might also add that this is the first time that I have ever written a letter complaining about customer service to any department store. I hope that you will agree that my experience warrants some attention.

I visited your store at the Neshaminy Mall this morning at around 7:15 AM. I am an early shopper and enjoy the early bird specials offered by various stores. I purchased several items in your men's department, and then I made a seperate purchase of a flashlight for only $0.99. I had seen a sign as I entered the door that the first 200 shoppers who purchased $10.00 or more would be given a Santa plate in the auditorium. I knew that my daughter who was home from college would enjoy it, so I headed up to the auditorium, both recepits in hand to get my plate. In the auditorium there was only one other customer, myself, and the sales clerk. I'm sorry I did not get the clerk's name, but she was approximately 70 years old. I handed her my receipt that had the purchase totaling over $10 and asked politely for the plate. The female clerk literally growled at me saying, "Give me your receipts." I attempted to explain to her that the other receipt was ineligible for the promotion (it totaled only $0.99), but at that point she reached out and literally grabbed it out of my hand. I was shocked, and asked her why she did that. She continued to growl (not politely explain) that customers are always trying to rip her off. At that point, I told her that she was inexplicably rude for grabbing something out of my hand. Her demeanor never changed.
She continued to growl, and never offered an apology for her behavior.

I understand that customers may try to take advantage of your promotions. I certainly am not one of them. However, your clerk assumed I was and treated me with an extreme amount of disrespect. There were many polite and appropriate ways to handle this situation. She chose to simply be rude, bullyish, and disrespectful.

I left your store totally infuriated and went to Macys where I was greeted and assisted by friendly and helpful cashiers.

You have just lost a very loyal customer.

I never have had any complaint before with any Boscov's costumer service not until today anyway 09/25/11, store 16, reg.2164, trans 28728. That attending cash registered was the most rude person I've ever encounter inside that store, very negative attitude. I have 2 items that doesn't have any tag and in-patiently told me that she can't ring them until I go back in that department and get something similar with a tag, (the store were about to close in 15 min.)I told her any items that doesn't have a tag should not be on the shelf in a first place and it's your job to find out or get help it's just a matter of using the phone. She did and even slammed the phone after. I even asked her to put on my holiday money plan, but she didn't, and did not even Id me. The only signature I have on my Boscov's card is ID only.
I don't understand why they let this kind of costumer service keep their job if they are not happy. I feel like I don't even want to shop there anymore.

I have recieved a notice in the mail about my "rights" as a Boscovs cardholder. I AM NOT A CARHOLDER.

I have for the past hour been trying to reach A PERSON...A REAL PERSON...to tell them that whoever is using a card with my information and name on it (RAYMOND MINNICK)has been falsely gotten and that Boscovs will be solely responsible and liable for ANY PURCHASES on that card. INSTEAD OF GETTING A REAL PEROSN I KEEP GETTING ROUTED THROUGH 'THE SYSTEM'AND NOT ONE PERSON ANSWERS THE PHONE

The hi-tech way of communicating that Boscovs OPTS TO use...STINKS !!! My hope is whoever has that card in their possession with RAYMOND MINNICK...RUNS UP CHARGES ON IT THAT BOSCVS HASTO ABSORB !!!

I'VE MADE MY EFFORTS TO COMMUNICATE, BUT BOSCOVS HAS FAILED IN THEIRS.

i bought a recliner chair on 10/2/2010i took three weeks for delivery after i had it for 2 months the material on the seat rinkled up i call to let them and they sent a man out to look at it he said that shouldn't have done that and he was suppose to get a hole new seat material and come and install it that was a month and a half ago it's taken thia long i would like the chair replaced i have done a lot of busniss with boscovs i have bought about 4 thousand dollars in tvs from there this think i'm disappointed with i got another question i'm a vietnam veteran and they give me a military discount which is nice that is why i do so much shopping there why is it that i can get a discount on a pair of socks but on a 14 hundred tv i can't get anything i can't believe that that many military shop there that would hurt to be able to get a discount on all thing is that all you can do for the men wemen that has fought for our country i doesn't sound like that is to much to ask and why isn't posted some where so miliary people knows about i shopped there for 2 years before i knew anything about it. If it wasn't for a nice clerk i would of never known when she told me she said go to the service desk and you can get a discount slip when i got there i was treated very rudely i was to i had to active duty i was 45 years ago is not supposed to count i would like to have looked at hope your rules can be changed i don't think that is to much to ask for the ones who protect our country

"Training" provided to customer service does not include the threatening information sent by HSBC to anyone who made the mistake of having a credit card with this "store" years ago.
SSN, income, medical information are sold to the highest bidder with no ability to opt out.

I bought a mattress set in November and was told by the sales person that the mattress was on back order and would not arrive until sometime in January 2011. I had not received any notification so I went in to the store today (end of January) to check on the status. I was told that the mattress set was in store and that a log says I was notified by phone on Dec 7th that my mattress was in the store. I never received this call, and certainly have not received any follow up calls in case the wrong # was called. After a month of no reaction from me it seems a follow up call would be in order. I was told by the obviously pompous sales woman that it's a wonder I didn't call the store to inquire about the matress before now. I was told that the mattress probably wouldn't arrive until Jan. so I was being patient. The sales person also informed that me that mattresses don't usually get back-ordered and seemed to imply that I was making this up. I then inquired as to whether this mattress was definitely in store (I don't intend to line up a vehicle to haul it and find out it isn't even there) to which she assured me that they did, in fact, call me Dec. 7th to tell me it was in store. I suppose this is proof enough for her, though it seems like someone doesn't have it together somewhere so guessing isn't proof enough for me. She was thoughtful enough to inform me that I should probably pick the mattress set up as soon as possible, as if i am inconveniencing everyone by having not done it already. I intend to get a refund for my matress set since this woman seem to have no interest in my business.
