Looks like we'll have to cancel our membership. Staff continue to ignore concerns about keeping the appropriate temperature for elderlies which is 84-86 degrees.

I wish I read the reviews before I signed up for this unprofessional piece of junk!!! Been paying $230 a month for personal training and regular membership, from staff that don't know what they are doing to absolute horrible costumer service!!! Tried to cancel my automatic payments for 3 weeks ( my obligations and contract is finished) just to find out $200 came out again today!!! They better fix this

The club in Greece NY is poorly run and it's a embarrassing thing for a club to pursue greatness.and lying to the members and demanding pay.when your service and equipment is so cheap and always breaking down.

I pay for kids club and I absolutely want locations to have time off for holidays but the kids club on greenfield blvd in Gilbert AZ 85296 is closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for New Years. I can see closing early Saturday and closed New Years and perhaps tsking both days. I think tsking Monday the 2nd is excessive. I asked if it was accurate and they said yes. I found another center that is not convenient or familiar for kids that is open Monday but felt you may want to know about this. They reduced there kids club hours as well starting the new year but I understand things change.

I am a member of the La Fitness in Norwalk, CT. There is a number of individuals who have voiced a complaint in regards to a new zumba instructor. Individuals refuse to take her class (one class only had 2 individual attend) and other just walk away (if she is teaching a class) or have walked out of the class.

She is currently teaching most of the classes and it is unfair that we are paying our monthly dues and have to work around and change our schedules to prevent from taking her classes. La fitness has lost quite a few individuals who have left and gone elsewhere.

Since no one is listening to our complaints I thought I pass this on to you.

I wanted to make LA Fitness aware of some pool issues in the Garland Tx area club off of Centerville. Number one it is very alarming to see people come into the pool area in their underwear and get into the pool. It is disgusting. I have mentioned this to people at the desk numerous times without anyone really doing anything about it. A bathing suit or trunks should be required at all times. I have seen people in their street clothes as well, and it makes you wonder did they just come from working out and get into the pool and get their sweat and wearing their disgusting underwear under their clothes as well? I am sorry but this is not a lake, or the ocean, this is a pool for people who want to work out. For the men you can tell the difference between underwear and trunks.They also get into the whirlpool this way. The other day two men who worked for a shipping company came in and both were in their underwear, I was the only one in the pool and when they saw me they covered up with a towel real quick. Thank god they only got into the whirlpool which I refuse to use because of this issue. There are some ladies who will take up an entire lane to just talk and wander around in the pool where serious swimmers are confined to the middle lane and have to double up and is a lot smaller than the outside lanes. This is going on in both outside lanes alot. It would be nice if there were some rules in English and Spanish with rules posted before coming out of the locker rooms into the pool areas asking people to not take a full lane for lounging in the pool and or walking and leave some lanes open for people who like to do laps. Also to inform them that bathing suits must be worn, no street clothes or underwear. I think you should have a camera in the pool area so that the front can monitor what is going on in the pool area because of this issue. I am sure the camera will not happen but you really should have a talk with the manager and staff about the underwear and street clothes.

That makes no sense, why would a business prefer to loose more years of business for a 32.00 balance, in which I was willing to pay for to continue with the membership? I even expressed to the associate, that this negative review would take place and it didn't even matter to her. She didn�¢ï¿½ï¿½t even offer an opportunity to speak with her leaders to see if something could be resolved. She just kept saying that the system doesn�¢ï¿½ï¿½t allow me. Where is the customer service and the loyalty to the loyal customers?

I am totally disappointed and mad with the managers named Iman in markham LA fitness Canada. And their customer service is super poor. I went to the gym in order to terminate the membership contract and personal trainer contract and get the refund back on Monday. As I am under 18 years old, I have legal right to repudiate the contracts. He told me he would submit my requests and give me a call on Wednesday whether or not I could get the refund. BUT I did not receive his reply on Wednesday. Then I call to the front desk, I was told that he was on vocation and would be back on next Monday. On Friday afternoon, I went the gym to see if any other managers could help me with the cancellation process. I was told that Iman had submit my case to the head office and is still in process. I told the front desk that I need to talk with Iman. He told me Iman would be in the gym at 2:00 pm. Then we left, and we came back at 2:00 pm. Then the front desk told me Iman was not in the gym until 4:30 pm. In other words, there are no managers on duty during Friday 12:00-4:30. Iman is such a liar.�� I would also post my bad experience in Facebook and Twitter, and persuade my friends not to join the membership with LA fitness if I am not getting any reply from LA fitness as soon as possible.

The LA Fitness in Austin, Texas (W Anderson Lane Locstion) has horrible managers and employees. The manager allows people to have terrible gym etiquette guys screaming while they lift, no one racks their weights, allow crowds to just do whatever they want. Also the other day another member tried to start a conflict with me, trying to be a civilized person I let the guy know to walk away and leave me alone. As the guy continued to harass me I went to tell the head manager and the head manager told me to work it out between each other because he'd rather not get involved. Really?? What manager allows members to just harass other people while they are trying to go on their way? The worst management I've ever seen and the workers are terrible!

I belong to LA Fitness in Monroeville, PA. My main reason for joining over 5 years ago is because I had terrible joint issues and I wanted somewhere where I could us the pool to do laps, water aerobics, etc. I pay $24.95 a month. Countless times this pool is not in working order -- it has been closed for almost a week again with no one knowing when it will reopen. There are always problems and i really feel, as much as I do not want to stop my membership, I've just about had it. Yes, it's nice to have all of the equipment, but the pool is a very big attraction to so many. At the very least, I feel we should be reimbursed partly for this. You are not delivering an adequate product that I am paying for. This has been ongoing for months at our LA Fitness. I'm just so disappionted in your facitility, and as soon as I can find another venue, I'm leaving. And please don't say there are other LA Fitnesses in the area -- they are inconveninet where I live.

I used to go to the Pasadena facility on Lake St. It has become so outdated and in disrepair that is a disgrace to the company. The carpet is torn and filthy. The men's lockroom has disgusting lockers ( a lot of them are broken). As far as the equipment they are always under repair for long periods of time.

I can not believe what I was put thru at the Woodbury la fitness!! Beware users the employees cam treat you any way they want and if you get upset back your terminated!! I was minding my own business and a young cocky employee named Bronx came over and said I was yelling the f word mind you I'm a middle aged women and the last time I checked I do not have terettes I told him on three occasions it wasn't me and he rudely applied that it was!! He said there are young people in here..lol teenagers that use that word a thousand times a day!!after I started getting like him and said it wasn't me and to leave me alone oh now that's grounds for termination how dare her get upset when I'm being rude and accussing her over and over now I'm mad as most would be so I follow him up front and ask for his boss which he will not give me as he's gathering his buddies up as witnesses that didn't see his fire that started it all!! Because he knew he blew it and was trying to save his behind! Calls the cops as I'm on the phone with the corporate office telling them he ask me to leave which he never did so there is another lie ..when his buddy Peter I guess the king of all la fitnesses calls the next day saying I'm terminated why .. because Bronx added juice to the story and lied again saying I put my fist up at him and said let's go?! Another lie by Bronx!! There are no cameras to catch this weasel in all his lies to save himself?? Beware people this young cocky guy can treat you anyway he wants and that's ok with his bosses!!

I tried to call the corporation several times and I cant do it because nobody answer, yesterday I have a problem in the Gym with the spinning class teacher, because he don't respect the list he call his friends first and them when he call his friends when the class is almost full he call the rest, I don't think is fair he has preferences because I pay for the gym too, this happened I LA fitness coral gables, Miami Fl, 6:45 Tuesday class with Guillermo instructor, please you guys like a corporation has to do something, because I fell myself discriminated, thanks

By far, the worst customer service experience I have ever endured in my life. From start to finish it has been a nightmare. Canceling a membership should be a straight forward and transparent process. This experience has been far from that. In August I cancelled my son's membership. The membership representative in Stoneham MA (Mike) informed me that I was all set after him requiring me to go in person to cancel and paying a 50% cancellation fee-which I was happy to do. Three months later....Mike has since left the Stoneham gym, no record of the cancelled transaction, continued billing, many phone calls to corporate office, many promises from customer service folks informing me to expect a call from the Vice President of Northeast region, yet no calls. In my frustration, throughout this time, I have researched LA Fitness complaints online and a constant theme appears. The true lack of customer service and deceitful practices in canceling memberships. When a customer service representative tells you two weeks ago that a VP will call you-his name was MEZIER- but doesn't and the excuse you are given is that he is bad at getting back to people, I wonder what the corporate culture is like at LA Fitness. I was then given the name of MIKE MESSENGER-another VP who will call back within 24 hours, that was 5 days ago and no call. This is not good enough. This should have been cleared up on August 9 and it's now November 7 and this afternoon I am finally getting some resolution and yet another call handled by TROY.

As a visible and active member of a community that has a LA Fitness gym, I will have no hesitation but to publicize my "experience" and let other members of the community figure out if a membership at LA Fitness is something worth investing in.

I Had a personal fitness trainer named Kris in Henrietta NY. I always request a male trainer but LA talked me in to Kris saying she was a good trainer. I reluctantly said "ok" well I joined in June of 2015 and started working with Kris for about 10 months last January. We hit it off and I thought she was a nice person and she was age 52 and one time I liked her. But then she started to talk about her divorce, family and husband issues and one time seemed depressed. I asked "what was wrong" she was depressed. I got along with her for 10 months and then in summer she once said "Mary come pick strawberries with me tomorrow (Sunday) her day off. I didn't want to as it was a heat wave here. 3 weeks ago, after a training session I had a wrenched back and she knew I had a bad spine. I had to cancel and gave her 2 days notice but she texted "I prefer you come Tuesday" I said I would try so she could get paid. I could not make it Tuesday and called 12 hours in advance and I get a text from her at 5:00 a.m. saying "Mary I gave you the times of 7, 8. 9 and 10:00 a.m. to come in. I made the appointment on my computer for 9:35 a.m. and Kris Mallory of Henrietta NY LA Fitness knew I never work out at 7.8. 9 :00 a.m. I was not well asked do you have anything Wednesday, she texted "I have 10:00 and you better grab it or it will be gone"

The thing is I have the right to cancel and I gave her the weekend for a Tuesday training. I told her I had a bad weekend that my 6 month old Apple I mac needed to go to Apple and I needed to study and my back was excruciating pain enough now I have to get a Cast MRI with a shot this Friday. I got mad after the text about Wednesday cause she said "I thought you had to go to Apple" I ended up not going because of severe pain.


I then texted her upset and angry and said score Wednesday I am never training with you again and you don't seem to understand or have compassion for anything.

Kris Mallory of the LA Fitness went and told her boss and made him listen to the voice mails and yes I was angry. I had also during the 10 months of knowing Kris noticed odd behavior now and then but ignored it. Her boss Hugh M. of the Henrietta NY LA fitness kept taking her side and would not relent or even listen to me about how Unprofessional she was and he over talked me. I lambasted Kris Mallory of the LA Fitness Club and told her exactly what I thought of her and I even asked her "Do you think it's professional to be dumping on your clients your family issues and your divorce from your Professor husband from RIT College where he taught and also has a consulting business. She during my 25 minute train which cost me $40.00 would talk about this. I mean I did not think it was Professional and I liked her so I never said anything. She also asked me out to pick strawberries in the summer time and I thought that was highly unprofessional and I say this because her stupid jerky boss was acting like the big Professional man and he was nothing but a low life director of trainers.

A few days went passed and I e mailed Kris Mallory of the Henrietta Club that I was sorry and I was. She even gave me her personal e mail. She did not respond. Hugh M. said he had to do an investigation and after I talked with him he said to me "I let the higher up's listen to your voice mails and they listened to them and you are no longer allowed to train fitness here and you are never allowed to traine with Kris Mallory again.

I got very angry as I had planned to leave in January and the cost each month for fitness and membership was $185 a month and that is a lot of money. I e mailed Kris Mallory and I told her this was her fault that when I cancelled she should had accepted that because I have the right to cancel a fitness session 12 hours before and I gave her 2 days and it was unusual that she would say "I prefer you to come in" I e mailed her and told her everything that she did that was unprofessional and if I had brought it up at the time she did it then she would had been in trouble but I liked her once and thought she liked me as a friend and trainer.

I wouldn't let up because after I told her I was sorry via e mail that she gave me I talked to Hugh M. at the Henrietta NY LA Fitness and I found out Kris Mallory said some terrible things about me and then I really let her have it and I took my apologies back and I told her she was bad news , a phony, a twerp and co dependent on her kids. I told her off in a big way and sought
counsel of the NYS DIVISION OF HUMAN RIGHTS for defamation of my character and etc.

Don't get me wrong I had absolutely no interest in ever going back to that dirty rip off health club that is supposed to help you and your well being but I tell you the only training Kris Mallory had was a certificate and no college education so she would not know how to deal with people with injuries.

I also thought the cost of that dump which seemed to me to be musty, smelly and unsanitary and I would never take a shower there, I originally was a life long member of Bally's until that closed. I loved Bally's and I had a male trainer and when I 2 times requested a male trainer because I never have drama issues with a male trainer and they seem for me better to work with.

I am an educated woman with a 4 year degree and working on a 2nd degree and I am not stupid like Kris Mallory and Hugh M of the Henrietta NY LA Fitness club thought I was . I filed a formal complaint with NYS DIVISION OF HUMAN RIGHTS and I let them know it and I also contacted the CEO of LA FITNESS and the guy took everything down but no one ever called me. I did immediately go to my bank to cancel LA FITNESS from taking any more money out of my account.

I am very fortunate to say that I found a much more Professional Club called S T A R Z Physical therapy and physical fitness with only 150 members and not one trainer or anyone that works there does not have a college degree. My Doctor gave me a prescription for Physical Therapy on my back there and that is merged with the fitness club and I get a whole hour trainer for the same amount I paid at LA FITNESS for 25 minutes. It's the biggest scam dirty unprofessional club I have ever been too and I did notice that trainers quit frequently as they do not make much money.

My club is less expensive and fairly priced about 1/2 of what I was paying at LA FITNESS and they also accept my NYS workers compensation for Physical Therapy that I now need and a Cat scan with a shot. I also belong to the fitness club as it's merged with the Physical Therapy dept. I am happy that the Physical therapists will determine what I can do with my personal trainer to modify my fitness program and these are Professionals. They had a Groupon on line and I had Groupon bucks so I got a 6 month membership to the club for $56.00 unbelievable. It's clean and not crowded and the people are nice.

I found out what a back stabber trainer Kris Mallory with only a certificate was when she once pointed to a customer "Look she is anorexic" I was stunned at her lack of compassion and at the end I also lambasted her on her cell leaving a message that what you said about that unwell girl you called an anorexic was shameful and I had compassion for people like that because they are not well and can die' I told her that. She also gossiped about an older lady that talked a lot to her friend when she was trying to train her and on the cell I said " you are a shameful gossip talking about innocent people that come in to that club to work out and socialize and older people go there too. I also said "What is the matter with you Kris? don't you have the balls to tell the talkative lady that you are training right now and could she wait until it was over in 25 minutes?" I said "You are gutless Kris,
a gossip and a cold hearted person and now I think I know why your husband left you, he didn't love you"

Summary: Don't get a fitness trainer there at LA Fitness Club because they are not properly trained to work with people with any kind of injuries. Don't waste all your money each month at LA FITNESS because honestly it stinks, it's unclean, I seen a cockroach running on the floor. The bosses will always take the side of the fitness trainer no matter how wicked they are to the customers that pay a lot of money to go there.

Look for a fitness club that offers more and if you have injury go to your Doctor and get Physical Therapy instead of working with an incompetent trainer such as I did with Kris Mallory of the Henrietta NY LA FITNESS CLUB. The workers quit a lot and the turnover is excessive. The workers gossip about the customers that pay good money to go there and that is despicable.

I would never recommend anyone spending hard earned money for a club that is cheap in it's service all the way around.
I found out my trainer is nothing but a disgusting gossiping lying trainer and no friend and very selfish for clients to get money. They don't make anything because she also has to waitress at Red Lobster here in Rochester NY on Jefferson Road to make ends meet after her Professor husband who must be loaded dumped her. I right now can't stand the place and I quickly found a much much better health club that has a holistic philosophy and professional trainers all very well educated.

I am sorry I wasted so much money at that club and got nothing out of it and in fact because of my anger with Kris Mallory at the Henrietta NY LA FITNESS CLUB, they believed Kris Mallory could do no wrong and kept sticking up for her and he would over talk me and I could not get a word in. He kept saying "I don't care "I don't care and finally I said "I don't care as well " then I hung up on him and I sent e mails to Kris Mallory a certificate trainer and lambasted everything I thought she was a total creep who gossips about clients and sometimes she acted weird like out of the blue something totally irrelevant would pop out of her mouth and that was strange and I also told Kris Mallory I felt she was depressed but now I think she may be bi polar as I look back on some of the ways she would act and say. I had discussed my horrid experience with someone at my new club and I was told "A trainer should never dump their baggage on you' and a fitness trainer never asks a client out" That is not professional.

I decided to Google to see all the complaints about LA FITNESS and they are in the thousands. It would not surprise if that place closes down in the future as people don't like that club. p.s Oh that mean dude revoked my membership because of Kris Mallory the goofy trainer that was not good. I laughed because I now have $185 a month in my checking account.

I'm really disappointed in you LA fitness Bloomfield Michigan location. Many classes have been cancelled in the past weeks. Today after my workout I asked to speak to someone about adding my adult son and his girlfriend using the recent special. Waited over 20 minutes and did not get any one to even speak to me This is ridiculous. I feel like there is no such thing as customer service here.

This is disgusting you're stealing money from 100% disabled veteran after he canceled his membership six months ago three different ways and is unemployed from back surgeries due to injuries sustained in Afghanistan and you still are taking from him and will not contact us back!!!!

This place should be ashamed of the way they run busines. It is so disappointing to read that all across the country conditions at LA fitness is the same. Customer service seems foreign to them. Why are all of the gyms dirty with rude unprofessional workers. .I bet if the health department visited these gyms they would shut them all down. I am beside myself tonight. The gym closes at 11pm, I was in the locker room changing and a male employee walks in while saying "is anyone in here". Last time I checked you ask that before you walk in. Needless to say I was changing my pants...how convenient for this pervert to choose this time to walk in. I told him to get out immediately, he said its 11...and I said that does not give you the right to walk in the ladies locker rooms. Two minutes later he returns and asks twice if anyone is in here...I said yes twice and I saw his shadow at the door trying to head in again...I told him to get out and this is a potential law suit. I was so upset I was shaking. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this gym location and this time I am not willing to let it go. I expect a response and action from Management. I am appalled, angry and disgusted with the events that occurred tonight. I await resolution before my next step which would be to acquire a lawyer.

Hello, This is Tashia. Nobody has not got back with me about the incident with the zumba instructor. I'm thinking about leaving la fitness altogether. And find a cheaper gym. People in la fitness don't seem to care about the clients there. I don't want to continue spending my money there and catch the bus where I am feeling disrespected with the workers there! Just my thoughts. The zumba instructor... She teaches zumba every Wednesday and Thursday .Here name is Theresa . Don't go to her classes. She gossips and fake person.

I work out at the l.a. Ficility in ann arbor michigan. My name is thomas jones,i walked into the facility on sunday the 16 of oct. there are paper towels all over the place, water bottles also. Because you took the position away from dale, the worker was at his desk. And i know that he probably knows that he should go through the locker room at least once a day, but i had to tell him there was no paper towels in the locker room bathroom.there are no janitors on the weekends, i spoke to management and seen a vice president which shoulduse l.a. Fitness once in awhile,he didn't look like. He's missed any meals in a long time. I have been with l. A. Fitness for over a year now, and to me it seems as though your wanting people to go elsewhere , cause if all your facilities are run this way everyone will be finding better places to go and spend their hard earned dollars. My wife quit because of the messy conditions...

I arrived at 8:00 This morning at the Irvine gym . I drive 45 minutes to meet two friends for our weekly workout. After standing outside for 35 minutes with 60-75 other people and still not seeing anyone to open we left.
I understand that emergencies can happen , but not to have a back up with key is inexcusable. This is not the first time we have waited for the doors to open. I don't appreciate my time being wasted.
