I hate their store apps I was shopping today at store 248 Bullhead city, Arizona, Safeway. I could not get any of the apps to open on their digital deals or on the regular scan deals got up to the cashier to ask for help she did not know how to use it they called the supervisor, she helped but it took over a half an hour I was first in line and the people behind me were pissed. Safeway needs to make a better way to receive deals very frustrated. I heard some people tell me I won't even use those apps they're so horrible. That's pretty sad for people trying to get a good deal , the Wi-Fi is horrible over there and there should be another way just have a section that says on the app digital deals showing the digital deals and you click on them know you have to go through all these bells and whistles and it was just a horrible experience October 31 23 and personally I think the CEOs need to come down and work in some of these stores for a day and be the cashier and try to figure out these apps because they won't be able to what happened a good customer service and caring about your customers it's not happening with all these apps Thank you.

Safeway scamming customers. "If spend $50, will receive 2 Rewards" Yesterday they did Not give the Rewards.
Then yesterday had 7 + 7 towards 100. Today spend $19 and now is 6 +98!
Rewards s/b 9 + XX towards 10.
Then again we see who is being hired so fraud is no surprise.
Customer Service says can't/won't fix it.

I feel safe way in West Seattle on Roxbury is very lazy they haven't changed their Western Union hours in years and they knew about it until just that nobody cared to do the right thing you're a well-known store yet some of your employees are lazy past the buck,that's a bad look.

only had a few dollar to buy something to eat. That would last at least a couple of days. So I went to Safeway in Apache Junction az. I purchased the chicken. Already cooked. It the see thru plastic container. It was about $6.00. I know that doesn't sound like much. But when you only have $10.00 to feed yourself and another. It's like a million dollars. I purchased the individual pieces chicken. Went home. And was so Disappointed!! They had placed the pieces of chicken in such a way, that you could not see the burnt, BLACKENED pieces. I tried to pull the chicken off the bone. Just to find it EXTREMELY HARD INSIDE. Completely DRIED out and burnt. Out of about 8 pieces, I only hard about a cooked breast of chicken, that was hardly edible. I led my child eat what he could. I went hungry. SHAME ON YOU, SAFEWAY. . THAT CHICKEN WAS AT L AST 3 DAYS OLD

No eggs on shelf, ask member about the and was informed that they are in the back and the person who takes care of them is at lunch. I asked for the store manager and eventually Adam came to the location. I asked him about the eggs and he said he was aware and i then received the same response. I ask how long might that be an he replied "about an hour". I said that that was not a good way to do business and he simply said that thats that way it is. I asked for corporate number and he told me to look online. (The corporate number changed per IVR, but website not updated)

Store in Alameda,Ca. South Shore Center is the worst Safeway I have ever shopped at, main reason being lack of checkers , there is always long lines , even at hours when most everybody is at home sleeping. They leave a sign at the register saying the fool is on whatever isle come and get me , then when they get to you they look mad like they wish you didn't call them.

I went to a Safeway this morning to the deli counter and the service was awful stood there for 10 minutes the staff were chatting never did wait on me this seems to be an issue with most delis st Safeway they just ignore the customer as if I you are bothering them finding a new place to buy my deli meat

Rude, charged 120 on my girlfriend debit card, due to a "glitch" with there computer, they money was taken but not refunded as they said, after 40 minutes, after her calling the bank and proving the debit and no refund she was forced to leave with nothing and had no more money to eat or buy tampons etc. They still have done nothing but been rude, this was 5 days ago on 8-16-22 self checkout 30 min before closing, all on video.

I am growing weary of buying vegetables at Safeway that are rotten. I bought two avacados atwo days ago that were due to be ripe in a few days. Cut into one of them tonight, black and rotten inside. Cut into the second one and it was the same.
I should have gone to Whole Foids where this never happens. I took a chance buying cheaper at Safeway. Never again!

For a $19.00 gas purchase Safeway posted a $200.00 pending charge on my debit card account. The next thing I knew was that I could not purchase anything else.
This was Sat 07-16-2022, 07:00 AM. Today, my debit account is still messed up with that $200.00 charge which hopefully will drop soon. 'cant stand it when they play with my money like that.

I was in at the flagstaff branch by the mall we're I have been shopping my whole life when I was at the dolly with lots of chicken and potato wedges for once at 8 pm at night I was told by a fellow agent that even thought there was plunty for sale that they were closed and not serving any thing. I complained the the on site manager but he didn't seem to want to do any thing. Young kid. I wanted to buy some potato wedges since they don't hardly seem to have them any more but I guess the employee didn't want to work. No line just one other person that she finished helping but I guess we weren't important enough to serve what was already made and in the pans. I give a no star rating

So I was just at I think it's 717 or 171 in lake Stevens Washington Safeway they had a police officer come in because I couldn't decide what I could afford and wanted to buy and they literally openly accuse me of stealing told me not to come back for 6 months and made me give them my ID so the b**** could take a picture of it I even showed them inside my purse I didn't have anything I wasn't stealing and I still can't go back for 6 months wow Safeway used to be like a household name it's definitely not going to carry on in my house while they got two kids and husband I'm probably never going to shop there again and I'm never going anywhere in my family or extended family if I can help it that's some b******* I spent so much money there hundreds and hundreds and hundreds probably money that I could have had gotten some many cheaper but different things with but I did it cuz it was Safeway and I like Safeway just for going to kick me up for 6 months when I showed them I wasn't stealing well the lake Stevens Safeway that lady you f****** manages it or whatever at night is a piece of s*** b****

the digital coupons are a rip off, they only sometimes work and then I get crap from some of the clerks like at
St. Helens and I rarely go there anymore. also every time I buy more than 3 ites I am overcharged for something.

This never happens with Fred meyer coupons they have a website that works, unlike Safeway where I get a blank page or never know if it works. But I usually shop somewhere like WINCO who doesn't discriminate against people who don't have those horrid "smart"phones.
In fact i am becoming very ANTI digital since safeway started discriminating against me.

SAFEWAY WAIMALU - manning self checkout clerk ROWENA (short lady with glasses).
5/29/22 I went in to dispute an overcharge on a previous purchase. After that was done, I picked up more things and did self check-out. Upon leaving, Rowena accused me of stealing and asked to see my receipt. I have shopped at this Safeway for over 20 years and never had anyone accused me of stealing!

Attention Safeway Shopper, I purchased a $200 Vanilla Go gift card from Safeway and within 20 minutes after regristering the card, it was hack for $197, Vanilla Gift Card Customer Service just gives me the run around. After fighting for 45 days still no answer. So I'm going after Safeway, Do not purchase any of the Vanilla Gift Cards.

safeway digital coupons are a rip off, they don't work, cannot be downloaded and this has been true for 2 computer operating systems, also everytime I byuy more than 3 items I get overcharged. Most Safeways are very snooty too, except my tiny little local one that doesn't carry much and is often out of sales products.

We live in Coos Bay but generally shop at the North Bend store. I have never had rude service there until today. The clerk was so busy eating or chewing a big wad of gum she could not even acknowledge us. We had a problem downloading a digital coupon and she finally told us we had to download them before coming into the store,there was nothing she could do. She did say we could call customer service when we are home, get the issue resolved, come back later to purchase the item.

I'm giving the deli department a 1 star, due to the fact of what the gentleman told me. I went in to Safeway the other night to purchase fired chicken for my wife and I . I asked for 1 breast, 2 thighs, and a leg. He told me he didn't have any breasts, that he would have to drop them in after his break. I said okay, so my wife and I proceeded to do our shopping to wait for a half an hour. When he returned he said that it would take 13 minutes to cook after he dropped them in the fryer. But first he had to re-bread them. Well my complaint is, as I was standing there, he had to remove his gloves 4 times, to help someone else. He told me it was corporate policy. I asked , what was corporate policy? He said even though I was a customer, that put in an order, he was told he had to help the other people as they came up. I said wait, I'm a paying customer and he could tell the other people that they could wait and he would be right with them. He said, no he couldn't do that cause corporate has procedures and that there was nothing he could do. Well let me tell you, this is why City Market is always busy in Mintrose, Colorado and Safeway has hardly anyone in their store. I'm sorry, but if that is Safeway's procedure, then maybe someone in corporate might want to rethink it. I'm going back to City Market and I'm going to let EVERYONE I know as to how I was treated in Safeway. Maybe the ratings will get around to hurt you enough to change! He also complained that he was the only person and he couldn't understand why corporate didn't give him help. That really wasn't any of my concern, but I listened anyway. So GOOD BYE, Safeway and "hello" City Market!?

Dirty store, unfriendly employees and assaulted by signature getters right at the exit. Definitely not a good environment.
I'm 70 years old and my son is concerned about my safety shopping at that location, ( store #2263). Been shopping at this location for 12 years but because of deteriorating conditions I will look for a different grocery store

I'm beginning to think it's a common Safeway practice on bait and switch pricing. Friday I did an order pick up. 18 pack diet cokes $5.00 Friday, saw receipt later, full price.
Sunday I went and bought five 12 packs diet dr. Pepper, buy two get three free, didn't happen. I was charged for four and got one free. Wtf is wrong with Safeway stores? Isn't this false advertisement, theft, and at the least... lying.
I'm sad to see how this grocery chain is going. I'm going to switch to Lucky supermarket and Costco because Safeway doesn't deserve my business anymore.

I have been having problems redeeming my rewards points. I clip them, and more than half the time, I do not get the reward on my receipt. The reward disappears, because I redeemed it. This keeps happening with the $7 off meat reward. I have to call or go onto the store to get a refund. I am going to start taking screen shots of each reward after I clip it, so I have proof what is happening. I have been given many excuses for the past year. My account has been reset, and synced, but it happened again today. I think the rewards program is a scam. Or the Safeway program has an error. I have been told this is because I do pick up. Very unhappy customer.

Safeway only offers pickup by snap EBT payment at selected stores which are all 40 minutes or more North of my location. This is a service they should offer to everybody... At the very least offer at stores that are dispersed more evenly across the area to allow everybody to benefit from this feature.
