In September a CB representative called me in response to a complaint about terrible service regarding my internet service. She told me that fiber was on their calendar within the next six months but that it could change. In December I watched as fiber optic cable was being installed on the poles in front of my house. I thought "maybe". In February I watched as trucks drove through my front yard, leaving deep ruts, as work continued on the fiber optic cable. I really didn't care as I thought this was really going to happen. March 2017, nothing. I called my neighborhood CSR in the Philippines. I asked what was the status. I was told that my area wasn't scheduled for an upgrade in 2017. I called my local electric company to find out who exactly installed the optic cable on their poles. I was told it was my local phone company. Called the Philippines again and asked to be pushed up the ladder to someone closer to my "Hometown". I was refused. Tried another phone number and again connected with the Philippines. Is there any number where I can reach my "Hometown" business? Is there anyone I call talk to who knows what is happening?

I deeply regret giving Cincinnati Bell and their Fioptics service a chance. I am having problems and issues literally every week with my internet and cable. Calling technical support or customer service does not help. Even if they send a technician out, it won't do any good because the problems are with their poor service, not your house or equipment. I don't understand how they are still in business with the kind of service they provide. Plus they keep adding useless channels on their cable lineup.

I tried to reach your technical support department last night and after 30 minutes of waiting, I got a foreign person I couldn't understand. Then I got transferred 3 different times. Is this the kind of service you provide now? That's ridiculous. The cable and internet are not reliable either. Im always having to reset my boxes because they freeze up a lot. I will be shopping for another provider because Im so tired of the problems.

Your service absolutely stinks at Cincinnati Bell. What does it take to get your fioptics cable and internet to work properly everyday? When are you going to fix all of the issues? Neither of my services has worked right since I had them installed two months ago. My cable channels freeze up a lot. Several times a week. There is a lot of pixelation on some channels. The cable goes out frequently. The internet service is just as bad. I never get the speed I am supposed to. I always have to reset my modem because the wi-fi randomly disconnects. Weather affects the service also even though I was told by a technician it wouldn't. Its been a very disappointing experience and I would never recommend your service to anyone.

I want to know-what does it take for anything to get fixed down at Cincinnati Bell? Your service is unreliable and never works right. I had a technician out last week and my cable channels are still freezing and pixelating, and my internet is still slow and cutting out. This is the 3rd technician that has come to my house to "fix" these problems. Each time I call in about these issues, I am always stuck talking to some foreigner that I can't understand. Well I am done and am going to try Spectrum out. I am sick of Cincinnati Bell and your problems and poor service.

The other reviews on here are true-I have also had problems with Cincinnati Bell since day one. Their equipment and products are garbage and are of the cheapest and poorest quality. The service itself is no good either. Their cable never works right-it is always freezing up, the screen jumps and hesitates and the sound won't match the screen. Picture quality is poor and not clear or sharp at all. It's the same with their internet. You never get the speeds you pay for. The internet has frequent outages. Their customer support is terrible-it is full of foreigners that have no clue what they are talking about. Then they are rude and hang up on you. Email doesn't even work a lot of times. Whatever you do, avoid this company at all costs. The problems you have are not worth what they charge you.

Here is the truth about Cincinnati Bell that they don't want you to know about-their internet is always going down, you never get the speed you pay for or are promised when you sign up, you always get buffering, their modems are cheap and never work right. Their cable is just as bad-they don't have a lot of channels that Time Warner does like Ion and WGN America, they don't carry all local channels, picture quality is not sharp or clear, weather affects it-when it rains or is windy, the cable is always going out, channels freeze up a lot, the sound won't match the screen, the screen jumps, etc. Their sales people want you to think how great their service is. Believe me, it isn't. Just read the online reviews.

This company does not care about it's customers whatsoever. The customer and technical support is all foreign and very unhelpful. They don't even work 24/7. They are rude and condescending to you as well. If you ask for an American person, they hang up on you. The cable, internet and phone service isn't much better. The phone service goes out frequently. There is always some kind of background noise. The internet is always very slow and is never the speed I am paying for. It just drops out at random too. Their service is pathetic. Their cable is the worst. Whatever you do, DON'T get it!! Their channel selection stinks and they don't even carry Antenna TV, GET TV, ASN, and Comet TV or the PBS digital subchannels. The channels are always freezing up, pixelating, the sound never matches the screen, picture quality is poor and not sharp, changing channels takes at least 10 seconds and the screen acts like in slow motion and the picture jumps. Avoid them at all costs, the problems aren't worth it.

Can you people down at Cincinnati Bell do anything right?? Your customer and tech support are a bunch of useless foreign a** clowns who can't speak decent English and who don't have a clue as to what is going on or how to fix your cable and internet issues. They are also very rude and condescending. Since you refuse to hire American workers or bring support back to the States, I am searching for a different provider. Im not dealing with Philippines Bell anymore. Yet again, my internet is going down tonight and is real slow, and my cable channels are freezing and pixelating on me. These problems are getting old, and happen way too often. Your service is very unstable and never ever works right. It is unreliable to in that it frequently goes out. To top it off, you overcharge me every month and I have to call about that as well. If anyone is considering Bell as their provider, I would strongly recommend someone else.

I agree with many of the other reviews on here-Cincinnati Bell has horrible cable and internet service and they do absolutely nothing to fix it even though they are aware of the issues. They could care less about their customers and problems. Ive had numerous technicians out to the house, called tech support, switched out all of my equipment and the problems are still happening. Time Warner Cable has so much better service that actually works. More channels to. I shouldn't have to reset my cable boxes and modem on a daily basis. I also have the freezing and pixelating channels (cable boxes) issue, the frequent outages, dvr not working right, slow internet speeds/buffering, internet going down, channel switching issues where it acts in slow motion and takes a while to load, sound not matching the screen, missing channels, foreign and rude customer service, incorrect bills, I could go on. I am going back to Time Warner Cable because their cable and internet work well.

Horrible customer service, regular internet slowdowns, poor TV picture quality, and 4-hour window service appointments that are totally missed - dropped Cincinnati Bell yesterday, called Warner Cable and was hooked up today with faster internet at less money!

No brainer - Cincinnati Bell is horrible.

The picture quality on your cable channels is really bad and nothing ever improves. Most of the channels are not clear or sharp. Directv had much better picture quality. It looks like you are watching streaming 480p video that is always pixelating. You guys need to spend some money to upgrade the fioptics network and make it more reliable. Also, scrolling up and down through channels and changing them is a major problem. The screen will freeze up a lot and the sound will get real choppy or cut out as the channel loads after being changed. Pathetic service!

Your cable and internet service at Cincinnati Bell is absolutely terrible. It never works right and is always going out. The customer service and technical support is bad to-none of them speak decent English, they are rude and hang up on you. They are also clueless when it comes to helping customers. Please bring your customer service back to the States. You guys really need to fix the chronic ongoing problems of really slow internet, constant buffering, slow network, cable channels freezing up, poor picture quality, channels pixelating, and frequent outages. The dvr boxes never work right either. Im fed up with all of the problems I have with your services. I will be switching to Directv soon.

Its Monday night 10/31 and my cable and internet are both down out here in Anderson Township. This is the 4th time in just the last two weeks. I called in to 565-2210 but couldn't get to a live person. I guess you don't have 24 hour tech support? That's pathetic. Anytime ive called in anyway, ive talked to a foreigner that I couldn't understand. Your service and company have really declined in the past 5 years. The leadership down there needs to change. There are always cable outages and the screen freezes up and pixelates just before it goes down. My dvr freezes up a lot too. This happens on a weekly basis and I always have to reset my modem. The internet goes down sometimes on a daily basis. That happens a lot during peak times. Also, weather affects the internet and cable. Speeds really slow down during a heavy rain or thunderstorm. Cable will pixelate or go out during a storm. A technician told me weather wouldn't affect the service. That isn't true. I am going back to Directv because their service actually works properly.

I just had Fioptics internet and cable installed about 2 months ago and I have to reset my modem and cable boxes up to 3 times a day due to both services not working right. There is no reason to have to do that. My dvr recordings and cable channels are always freezing up right in the middle of a show. Channels will pixelate and act like they are in slow motion. You have the worst service of any of provider in this region.

I'd like to know why my cable channels and dvr boxes are always freezing up and not working right? It literally happens every single night. I am so sick and tired of all of the problems. Whenever I try to change channels, it takes a long time for the picture to load and then it freezes up, pixelates, skips, and the sound won't match what is on the screen. That is the worst cable service I've ever seen. It seems to happen while the menu is on the screen. Picture quality isnt clear or sharp either. There are way too many outages with your service to. It doesn't even have to be storming! The Fioptics internet is really slow and unstable. It will just go out at random. Choose another provider because Bell will give you problems.

To the Executives and Head Technicians at Cincinnati Bell regarding Fioptics-you should all be reprimanded or fired based on the level of service (or lack thereof) that you provide with your cable and internet. On top of that, the chronic problems that so many people have are never ever fixed even after multiple calls and emails to tech support and customer care. I have never experienced such poor customer service with a company. You don't care about customers whatsoever. I hope your company goes out of business. I live in the Anderson Ridge Condos in zip code 45230, and there is yet another outage tonight. This is about the 6th or 7th time the services have gone down in the last month. I am switching to Directv tomorrow. We need Google Fiber or Verizon fios in Cincinnati now to have competition. Cincinnati Bell just can't provide good, reliable services.

When are your engineers and technicians going to fix the issues that so many people are having with their Fioptics cable? They have gone on way too long. Frequent outages, poor picture quality, freezing and pixelating channels, sound not matching the screen, jumping screen, and cable boxes not working right are just some of the problems I am experiencing. On mine, whenever you change the channel with the up and down arrow, the box hesitates and is slow to load. Then the sound cuts out for about 15 seconds. Ive never had these issues with cable before. You guys really need to upgrade your fiber optic cable so these problems are fixed. The cable is garbage.

To Cincinnati Bell-your customer service and technical support are absolutely ridiculous. They can't do or fix anything right and none of them speak decent English. My bill and service changes havent been right for 5 months. That's right-5 months. I am so done with you guys. I don't know or understand how you are still in business. If anyone is thinking about going with Cincinnati Bell Fioptics, DON'T DO IT! You will have a ton of problems in every sense. The cable and internet never work right, there are frequent outages and down time, cable channels and hd boxes are always freezing up and pixelating, the internet is always very slow during congested times, and it will go down during a heavy rain. Their service is an absolute joke.

Your service and company are an absolute joke. My internet, cable and home phone never work right. After 5 technicians who came to my home, the issues are still happening. So, I'm done. I honestly don't know how your company is still in business for as bad as your service is. Your customer service and tech support is all foreign and they can never help with anything. I'm not going to reset my box again since the problem is the garbage equipment and the signal coming into my home. The cable is very unreliable and is always going out or freezing up and pixelating. My dvr box doesn't even work right or record shows like it should. The picture quality is not clear or sharp either. You guys need to upgrade your cable so it works properly. Ok Cincinnati Bell-these freezing and pixelating cable channels and dvr box issues need to be fixed soon. This is beyond unacceptable. I never once had an issue like this with Time Warner Cable. Anytime you change a channel, the screen acts in slow motion and the picture jumps. This has been going on for several months out here in Anderson Township. I refuse to call tech support again because it is very frustrating since you can't understand them. The cable is always going out too. The internet I'm supposed to be getting isn't even close. I am supposed to get 30 mb and I am lucky to get 15 to 17 mb download. You guys have the worst service I have ever seen. I would not recommend them at all.

I am so tired of your poor service and Know the Nati commercials. They are so lame. The only thing Cincinnati Bell knows how to do is provide bad service that never gets fixed and wrong bills to area customers and having terrible foreign customer service. I've read and seen all of the complaints and they are all true because I've had the exact same issues as most of the people posting on here. Your internet and cable service is subpar at best and you guys do absolutely nothing to fix or correct it. You would rather spend money on a useless streetcar and its name instead of investing in upgrading and fixing Fioptics. Bye bye I'm going back to Time Warner.

CBT installed Fioptics (Internet, TV and phone) at my home Friday September 16, 2016. When the installation tech left, everything was working properly. However, Saturday morning, my service for all three was nonexistent. Seeing a man at the connection box from which my service line originates, I opted to speak with him re my service. Exiting my front door, a second man just up the street was closing a service line box. I waited for him. Asking about my lack of service, he informed me they were conducting tests on the feeder line and all would be up and running shortly. I waited several hours with no return of service. I got into my car and searched the neighborhood for the workers to no avail. I called tech support, was unable to understand the individual with whom I was speaking asking multiple times to repeat his sentences. Very frustrating. Eventually, I asked to speak with another tech. The next tech informed me that her level could not deal with the problem. She would send it to the next level for evaluation. I should hear from someone within two hours. Did not happen. Sunday I contacted tech support again explaining my problem. The same story of contact in two hours was voiced. By this time I was livid at the lack of effort to reestablish my service. I called my sales rep telling him I was returning all equipment to the closest Bell store and cancelling my service. In no case was there a sense of urgency by anyone to address my problem. Late Sunday, I did receive a call from a supposed next level representative. I told her to forget it I was cancelling my service. My wife, however, convinced me to give CBT another opportunity to make repairs. I called the sales rep rescinding my cancellation. He advised me to call tech support again to get the non-service issue resolved. Again, it was to be submitted to the next level for action. Someone would call within two hours. That promise was hollow as no one called. Monday morning I called tech support again asking for assistance and insisted to speak with a supervisor. No supervisor picked up the supposed transferred call. I again called the sales rep for help only to experience more frustration at his lack of ability to resolve my problem. Monday I again called tech support insisting to speak with a supervisor immediately and getting a tech to come to my home and repair whatever. After an unseemly delay, the tech put me through to a supervisor but a repair tech was scheduled and would call me between 8 AM and noon. The supervisor stated that Fairfield was experiencing a substantial outage with no known time of resolution. I waited until 12:30 PM for the repair tech's call which had not been placed as initially promised. I again called the sales rep explaining no repair effort had been made leaving me no choice but to cancel service. After a heated discussion I stated his lack of effort was dismal. I would be taking the equipment to the CBT store cancelling the service. No too long afterward, the repair tech called saying he was twenty minutes away. Grudgingly, I decided to see what he could do, if anything. The repair tech verified all was properly installed in my house. He tested the service line to the house finding no signal. At the service line box, he confirmed that the connection was complete but no signal. He went to a "hub" and returned finding that whomever had been testing the lines on Saturday had disconnected several connections. That is why I did not have service. How simple!!! Yet no one was empathetic or had a sense of urgency to do something Saturday or Sunday. Disgusting lack of customer service. It is no wonder that doing business with an American company is disappointing. Lousy, actually. Now, back to the supervisor who concocted the Fairfield outage excuse. What a crock! Honesty never presented itself until the repair tech arrived tracing the problem to its source. If nothing, the Saturday `testing crew should be disciplined for their lack of attention to detail. The supervisor should be fired. Matt, the installer, and Nick, the repair tech, performed their work outstandingly. By the way, when I agreed to installation of Fioptics, I was to allow five and one-half hours for the work. I was given a four hour window for the repair tech to call me. Nick explained that he did an install first before coming to my house. Thanks to whomever sets priorities for work assignments. Further, why was I told to expect a call from the repair tech between 8 AM and noon when installation takes roughly five and one-half hours? It was going on 2 PM when Nick arrived. Way beyond the promised time. I still have my service with Time Warner for Internet and Dish Network for TV available until the end of the month. Any further incidences with Fioptics and I revert to their services. Surely CBT can do better!!!!

Call it what you will-Junk Optics, Crap Optics, Garbage Optics, Joke Optics-they all apply to Cincinnati Bell's Fioptics internet and cable service. The names are very fitting and true. I use to have Dish Network and Time Warner Cable and I never had as many problems with both companies combined as I have with Cincinnati Bell in just over 3 months. No joke. Even Dish Network stayed on more and was more reliable during a storm than Fioptics is. Cincinnati Bell's customer service is atrocious to. It is all foreign and you can't understand them at all. It takes over 35 minutes to get a live person on the phone just to get transferred over and over. Very frustrating! The cable is always skipping out and the screen jumps, pixelates and hesitates when you change channels. It also freezes up and I have to reset the boxes constantly. Whatever you do, go with a different provider.

I just have one question for Cincinnati Bell-can you just please get all of your services to work correctly and properly for a whole week? Is that asking too much since I pay over $150 for your junk service? I mean come on. There literally isnt a week that goes by where I don't have some issue or problem with my internet and cable. There is no excuse for that. Time Warner is so much better and I never had issues with them. Your customer service is beyond unacceptable to. I was on the phone with 3 different foreigners that I could not understand today. I ended up being on the phone a total of 2 hours after getting put on hold and transferred. My problems are still not resolved. I was trying to call in and report yet again more problems with my channels and boxes freezing up and pixelating and acting like they were in slow motion when I change the channel. Resetting them only fixes it for about an hour. I am getting really sick and tired of all the problems and issues out here on the Eastside of town. Its time to drop the cable.
